I just want realistic game where you're walking around in the dark and it's quiet. You see the halloween decorations on people's houses as your walking down the sidewalk. The air is getting cold because winter is approaching. You hear a sound from someone's yard. It sounds like an old man struggling to breath and you check it out. He tries to bite you and you fight him and knock him to the ground. He grabs your leg and tries to bite you but you kick him away and grab the nearest stick to fight him off. Fast forward. The world has gone to hell so you have to go from house to house and scavenge for weapons and supplies to survive. Combo of 7Days and Dying Light with TWD story line.
I own every single one of those except 2 I might have to try number 10 and 1i love zombie survival games in general but I love realistic survival in odd terms. But my biggest one that I truly like is scum. Because it's way more advanced and hardcore but a true meaning of realism besides the giant robots and zombies. It really stands out but could honestly still hold it's ground if it added more content.
Project zomboid is pretty realistic, except for the graphics, but I swear to God, that shit will still have your anxiety going. That's what I love about it lol.
The Infected has a dedicated person behind it that continues to put out updates and responds to people. It may not be the fanciest but it has a place in my go to games.
I very addicted to 7D2D. I love looting the Poi's and building horde bases. That Project Zomboid doesn't look good graphically at all. I hate to judge a book by the cover, but honestly doesn't look good. The Night of the Dead looked great, and I do like adding traps to my base.
@Panzai .Joe when I get some time this weekend, I'm gonna watch some more gameplay and see what its about. I know a lot of people like it and I do love games like 7d2d. Like I said before, I hate to judge it by watching a video that showed it for a couple minutes.
7D2D doesn't look good graphically either :P Models and animations still look like they are from 2013, and the visuals overall lack polishing and consistency. While PZ looks like a game from the 90s, its visual style is consistent and you never find a graphical element that looks out of place, unlike in 7D2D. Plus it's much more logically sound and realistic than 7D2D. You have to manage your exhaustion, sleep, temperature, wetness, hunger, thirst, stress and mood, so you can't simply run around looting for 100+ days without needing to sleep. Heck, I'd say try just surviving for more than 3 days in PZ Apocalypse mode and compare that to 7D2D. The latter will look like an arcade game after that experience. Speaking of the PZ-related videos, check the Nurse channel, she makes a lot of great content.
@@ih8people I'm not sure managing exhaustion, sleep, temperature, wetness, hunger, thirst, stress and mood, sounds fun. I think I might be too casual for that game if I'm being honest.
@@pantango5503 Yeah, I am not saying PZ is the game for everyone. I like realistic survival games, but there are few good ones, and from those that exist, most focus on fighting zombies or other players rather than survival. I must say, however, that PZ does have three different game modes that present three different challenge levels. *Apocalypse* is basically what it sounds like -- zombies are numerous and often walk around the town in packs of 4-5 (so you can't fight them effectively as they surround you) and loot is rare. *Survival* is more combat-focussed mode, so fighting multiple zombies at once is easier there, and loot is also better. *Builder* is the most peaceful of all three, with the least zombies and better loot, so you could focus on looting and base-building. And then there's Custom mode where you can set the challenge level for yourself using numerous sliders, if you find that none of the default modes meet your desired challenge level or if you want something in between.

One thing i learn is that we learn from our mistakes. So if you fail, keep trying until it becomes more comfortable.
