As soon as you said that you don’t have the best motor skills I knew you were the RUclipsr I want to subscribe and follow!!! You’re not pretending to be some grand expert who struggles with nothing. I appreciate that as I am physically disabled. Your knowledge is wonderful so thank you so much for your videos!!! 😊
Your instructional video was superb! No nonsense, straight to the point, incredible! Thank you very much. I have been trying to catch those tiny seeds, forever. Now that I know what to look for, Lord willing I will capture a bunch. Many thanks again, and a tip of the hat to you! God bless!
I have always tried to save as many of my seeds as possible. Just like you said, you could very easily cross pollinate them and create your very own version of flower..They sometimes don't grow the year you plant them but the year after that. It's certainly a $ saver, by harvesting your own seeds, they can be costly...Thanks for making this video, I subscribed!
Congratulations! You made it to 2,000! This was such a great video for how to collect these. I do every year and scatter them around the yard so that they can/will pop up everywhere. Have a lovely day! Catherine
Awesome information. Thank you!! I found wild pansies growing all over in our 'nature land', I call it😉 .. I love to dig up some wild flowers and plant them around my house. So pretty!!!
Aww...ur a sweetie as far as I can tell. Anyhow..nice vid! Strait to the point no fluff..u just showed me the seed pods on pansies for the first time and I'm no beginner. Thanks girl!....edit: oh yea and I'm a new subber too!
Congrats on busting 2K!! Very cool, I didn't know how to save those seeds. Nice shot of the pod open and the seeds inside. I really need to learn more about the flower game...everything can't be just veg, lol:)
Thank you! I meant to say 3k in the video, I was wondering if anyone would catch that, lol. I like flowers but vegetables are my favorites to grow. Viola and pansies are edible so they kind of count as veg anyway.
This is the best thing about the garden community...the sharing of info. I didn't know they were edible, probably look awesome in a fresh salad. You will hit 3K, I have zero doubts:))
thanks! I just ordered seeds for giant orange pansies as I could not find them anywhere. I bought some little trays to start them in and saw how easy it was, so then I thought, why not harvest these seeds for next year? And I found your video. Short, to the point, and very informative. Thank you! you have a new subscriber ♥
Just wondering, do the pods need to be left attached to the plant or will they still mature after I've snipped the faded flower off (I always snip off low on the stem close to the plant)?
🌿💜💛🤍🌿🤍💛💜🌿 You have great moter skills; thank you for sharing, be well and be safe. 🙌🏽💚🙌🏽 Righteous Guidance, Protection, Peace, Blessings, Favours, And Success 🙌🏽💚🙌🏽
I liked and subd I see some of thees flowers and I want to grow them I will look out for that so I can take some of the seeds and put them in my backyard thx
AWESOME VIDEO! Thank you for making & posting such a helpful video👍🏻💐. I have a question ( I hope you see this as it has been several months since it was posted) What is the correct way to store the seeds? Should they be refrigerated or left at average inside temperature. Should they be stored in paper packets or zip lock type bags? Again, Thank you so very much🌿
Now, I've got some regular pansies from the store, I guess they're hybrid. They're huge, do you think they're viable? I was always told the seeds were sterile, or is that just a ploy to have people buy their from them all the time? Haha
I commented, then it disappeared, then I think I deleted it, grrr.. RUclips isn't always user friendly. Anyway, congratulations on reaching 2000 subs, this channel deserves it. The best of luck for the next 1000 :-)
This was VERY, helpful! Thanks for sharing! I would REALLY, really like to talk to you- (more so along the lines of- "digital marketing", because I could "HEAR" your "tone", at the end of the video... girlfriend- I KNOW! ❤) ..and getting a few things- sort of, "out there" in terms of making SURE- YOU, "inner-stand" what- IS "coming".. by that I mean- a "sort" of shift in "society" by them- turning "back to the plants".. in general! I'll try to look for a "social media" account- (that you've shared somewhere) so that I can speak with you about this in a more "private" place! Hang in there. And DO NOT- "give up", just YET! [You're a tad "ahead" of the "wheel", is all! I PROMISE ❤]
Same question here, I was just dead heading mine outside and was wondering if I could save them and ended up here, mine at moment are also just white, got about a hundred. So are they useless or will the white ones ever be worth planting?
What am I doing wrong. I have collected the fat little pods at different stages and brought them inside so I don't miss the pod bursting and nothing. It's like they are mocking me.
Hi I have a question , to keep getting more flowers I understand I need to regularly dead head them so being in UK when do I start leaving the dead flowers on the plant to collect seeds Also I realised I completely forgot to dead hard one basket of violas and see both heada where seed area is open and some closed heads . I have sniffed them off , can I still let them mature in a tissue paper to be used as seeds for wbxtcywar
Pansies are cool weather flowers. You can plant them in the fall and often they will last through the winter. if you plant them in the spring, they might last quite a while if the summer is not too hot. Sometimes when you see pansies or violets in the same place as you planted them it is because they have dropped seeds and those have sprouted.
One of the best videos I’ve watched! Informative, clear, and SHORT! No nonsense, just what is required. Thank you 😀

I love collecting seeds. Congratulations on reaching 2000+.
🌱Happy Gardening my friend ,Terry.
After harvesting the seeds, how long do you let them dry out, and what is the storage procedure?
Congrats on busting 2K!! Very cool, I didn't know how to save those seeds. Nice shot of the pod open and the seeds inside. I really need to learn more about the flower game...everything can't be just veg, lol:)

Do they have to be dried up before you snip the stem off? I’ve been deadheading and I saved all the seed pods. Are they useless now?
Do you have any tips for hand pollinating these? Also, can the seeds be planted right away or do they need some sort of dormancy?
Great video! I often grab the seeds and just tuck them into a pot to overwinter in my garage until spring.
That's a great idea!
Very good info on how to get seeds from Pansies. I pretty much do all vegetables. Some day I'll get into flowers more.
Hey Christa, great tips, congratulations on 2000 subs!!! - TFS T
Thank you!
thanks for very good advice,sarah

New in your channel thank you for the video.
Welcome!

Great video! Thanks!
Wao nice info
hello, good video, thanks, do they need to go through a cooling cycle or when can you plant them?
Thank you for posting this.
thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful.
Very good video
I liked and subd I see some of thees flowers and I want to grow them I will look out for that so I can take some of the seeds and put them in my backyard thx
What if you’d like to replant right away? Can you do that, or do you have to let the seats dry out before you plant during the same season?
I've been collecting Pansy seeds for a few weeks now.
Yay! Loved it! Now I know how to collect those seeds! 😊
How soon can I plant my new seeds??? Can I do it as soon as they’ve dried? I’m anxious for a fuller Johnny jump up/viola area in my garden ☺️
I would think you could plant them right away. They don't need a cold period. Let me know what happens.
Can I pick the pod before it dries out and let it air-dry?
Thanks for the info beautiful how would I save the seeds to replant them later on
AWESOME VIDEO! Thank you for making & posting such a helpful video👍🏻💐. I have a question ( I hope you see this as it has been several months since it was posted) What is the correct way to store the seeds? Should they be refrigerated or left at average inside temperature. Should they be stored in paper packets or zip lock type bags?
Again, Thank you so very much🌿
A ziploc bag or paper envelope are both fine. No need to refrigerate! Thanks for watching!
Now, I've got some regular pansies from the store, I guess they're hybrid. They're huge, do you think they're viable? I was always told the seeds were sterile, or is that just a ploy to have people buy their from them all the time? Haha
I'm no pansy but this is a great video!
Can you let them dry out before you take the seeds out?
If they're dark are they still good?
What time of year can we expect to see the seed pods come up on the pansy plant?
They will start seeding heavily once your weather really starts to warm up.

Can I harvest seeds from dead-heading the spent blossoms or do I need to wait for them to die-off on the stem?
You should wait until the blooms die back.
….but keep an eye on them and check daily. The pods will burst open and you will lose your seeds.
Thank you!
Hey how to grow hybrid pancy flower. Hybrid pancy flowers don't have seeds
I picked one off and opened it too soon. White seeds. Are they still good?
Same question here, I was just dead heading mine outside and was wondering if I could save them and ended up here, mine at moment are also just white, got about a hundred.

I bought my seeds from Ferry Morse NYC
