We lost our JR 4 years ago on the 1st of April. He took a stroke and collapsed at home. He was 16 that March. It was at the start of the pandemic, so we could not be with him in the vets. We miss him very much. What a great pal.
I had a Jack on the ranch .She lived to be 17.She was with me everywhere I was seat of the tractor in my pick- up in my semi.At night she was exhausted. Slept under the covets at the bottom of the bed.Went shopping with my wife. They needed exercise. Definitely not an apartment dog.Loved her very much.Goodbye Bonnie.Forever in our hearts.
I’ve had two of them. They are unlike any other breed or animal. Like a bolt of lightning that strikes your heart in frustration as puppies and then in sadness when they go to heaven.
Awww watching this made me so happy I miss my baby so much.. I had a jack rustle too for 15 years till she got to sick and had to be put down a couple years ago 😥❤ my heart.
Mine lived for 21 years, I broke my arm the same day I had to put her down. I remember coming home that day with a cast and going outside to see her and noticing a sore on the back of her leg. She was way to old to even bother treating it, she was almost completely blind and deaf so we put her down.
My first JRT lived for 19yrs, she was a true Velcro dog. I loved her so much. I have my second JRT beside me right now, just like my first she's always touching me, and frets when away from me. Very loyal, loving and protective, I'd be lost without my Esme. My little faithful friend ❤
These little dogs are so much fun and they keep you on your toes. My 7 yo Jack Russell loves riding in the car. We live in California and we have been having weird weather lately. One day it's 75 degrees and the next day it's 100 degress. Last week on one of the 100 degree days I decided to drive down and get the mail and I took Tyson with me. The garbage had been picked up that morning and they left my garbage can away from the curb and right in front of my car, but I didn't know this until we got in the car. So I jumped out and took the three or four steps needed to move the can and in those few seconds, Tyson managed to hit the button in the car that locked the doors with the keys inside. I'm stand there in the 100 degree heat trying to think how I'm going to break into my house. After about 10 minutes I get inside the house and grab my spare car key and run out the door because Tyson is in the hot car. I run outside and get halfway down the drive when I look up and realized that after I left, he found the button that rolls down the windows. So he's looking up at me smiling like nothing happened. Jack Russell's, you got to love em.😅😅😂😂
These dogs live for a very long time when you treat them well too. Mine lived for 21 years (was technically my mothers dog), one thing though these dogs living longer will definitely forge a very strong attachments. hurts a lot when they are just gone (believe it or not I broke my arm the same day we had to put her down)
I had two JRTs in my childhood and I just got my first one in adulthood. A female, tricolored Jack Russell. I fell in love with her at first sight and I can’t imagine life without her.
i'm on my 4th Jack Russell. loved every one of them. my current JR is called "Gizmo" and yes get him wet or feed him after dark and the fecker turns into a gremlin .
Amazing breed!! Wonderful breed!! I miss my best friend ever single day. She was 14 and charged my life, for the better, Incredibly dogs!! The personality, the energy, the loyalty, the relentless loyalty. And so intelligent!!! Great video!!
One thing I would say (I have a parsons) if you have never owned a dog or a JR before investigate the breed first, they are a massive learning curve, stubborn, high energy and a bundle of fun with the right owners. Cute as they are they are they are not your typical lap dog and they can run at up to 30 mph.
I agree. I have always taken in rescue JRTs because they usually end up in shelters because owners think they're cute. I would , for example not allow them too close to children as in the two scenes we see in the video. People fail to realise that they have a body of a Fiat and the motor of a Lamborghini. I love these little terrors but you have to know what you're doing with them. If you don't give them a job they'll find one themselves and it's usually destructive.
I grew up with one. We had him from my 1st to 11th year. I have never had a bigger bond than with that dog. What a sweetie it was. I still miss him to this day and wish the accident had never happened
Oh yeah, I knew we were in for a handful because my neighbor had two growing up, but our girl is 9 months only and INSANE. She’s hilarious, vocal, super cuddly and an absolute MENACE if she’s bored or left alone lol. I wouldn’t trade her for anything, but she’s a lot to handle.
I love this. After losing our 18 year old rescue dog, we had for 13 years, in April, last week we took the plunge and tomorrow we are picking up our new 8 week old miniature Jack Russell puppy. Help!!!!
Agreed, i love these dogs, my Dad has 3 but luckily he's quite active even into his 80s. These dogs are small but have somuch life inside them. Thet need to get out and run every day
My brother used to balance a treat on our jrts nose, go out of the room and make himself a bacon sandwich, and when he came back, she would still be there, drooling. He'd say 'go on then' and she'd flick the treat in the air, catch, and eat it ❤ At the time, Brookside was on TV, and every house on Brookside Close had the same doorbell as us. Everytime someone rang a doorbell, which was a lot, she went ballistic and jumped on the windowsill to look out ❤
My JR is 12. I never would have never picked this breed, but my ex husband had him and me and the dog bonded quickly. He is 12 now and went deaf😔. But his energy is amazing. So playful. He does hear the high pitch of squeaky toys . He has 50 and expects one with every shopping trip. He is a lap dog and he and I are best friends. Mama boy!
We have a Jack Russell Mix he's 1 year and 3 months now. Jack Russells are a reminder of an England that no longer exists, up for a fight no matter what the odds, with loads of energy and dash, hurrah. When you buy a Jack you get a bit of old England, a country which is now greatly changed. Best wishes to Jack owners the world over.
They really are the coolest breed that most people don’t think about. They’re pretty much the perfect Jack-of-all-trades dog (no pun intended 😉): They have the intelligence and energy of a Havanese; the courage and protective instinct of a Rottweiler; the loyalty of a German Shepherd; the proportional athleticism of a Pitt Bull; the personality and happiness of a Labrador or Retriever… They’re not considered “dangerous” and they’re not big, so you can live with them anywhere. They don’t have too many health issues considering that they’re purebred. Despite being small, they’re still masculine (you CANNOT accuse them of being “foo-foo dogs”). They’re great with kids and other dogs. They can go on runs and exercise with you despite their size. I’ve had several different breeds in my life, but they’re definitely my overall favorite breed and I’ll probably have at least one in my life til the day I die.
@@jaykay1899They’re really not that hard to train. They’re incredibly intelligent and eager to please. Some of them can be a little stubborn though 😂. However, they are a breed that MUST let out their energy. Like they’re not a great keep-locked-in-the-apartment dogs. You don’t HAVE to have a big backyard or anything (it’s better to have one, but they’re not 110% necessary), but if you don’t have one that they can run around in then you’ve got to run with them or take them to dog parks frequently. I’ve got a 3 yo male JRT, then two human boys (5 and 3 yo)… They are my three Tasmanian devils and do a lot to wear each other out fortunately. But I also run with the JRT like 10-20 miles per week too. They are also very social dogs, so having other pets or kids they can play with is a big bonus. But I’ve had several different breeds of dog in my life (either my own or with people that I see virtually every day), and I’d definitely put JRTs on the easier side of the training spectrum. All that said, while they’re not necessarily dangerous if they’re not properly trained, they can be trouble-makers… They prolly won’t run out and bite the neighbor’s kid, but they’ll dig, or they’ll steel shit and chew on it, or otherwise make a mess if not trained and not able to let their energy out in a positive way.

There is animal abuse in this video. The dog forced out into the middle of a lake at high speed on a surfboard is clearly terrified. Furthermore he will drown if he falls off - dogs cannot swim that far. There is a dog in a basin of water that actually appears to be dead.

Please don't include pet abuse in your video compilations. It's not hard to spot them.
So much insanity in such a small package.
There is animal abuse in this video. The dog forced out into the middle of a lake at high speed on a surfboard is clearly terrified. Furthermore he will drown if he falls off - dogs cannot swim that far.
There is a dog in a basin of water that actually appears to be dead.
