Thank you Todd for the review. This is our favorite resort. I can watch this over and over. We stayed here at the end of July 2023 and in June 2023. The last time we stayed here was 13 years ago 2009, when we found out the wife was pregnant with our first child. So Riverside holds a special place in our hearts. We love your channel. I stayed here this past July. This resort was wonderful. The Cast Members were lovely. My overall impression of this resort was I will do it again!!!!

Totally agree. We miss that they don’t serve them at Riverside anymore like they did back in the day. At least the walk helps burn of the beignet’s calories lol. We are going to go back and try a Beignet Sunday, can’t wait. Hope you have a great weekend
Thanks for the tour of POR Todd! This is my favorite resort (of the 3 different resorts I’ve stayed at so far) I’ve stayed at Riverside 3 times so far.
Although I really liked the Colonial Mansions of Magnolia Bend, our last trip, Heidi and I were moved from the mansions to Alligator Bayou - and this became my favorite area for rooms, the trees and “swamp” areas make it seem more remote.
If Michelle likes the arcade games, I strongly recommend getting a “game card” for yourself, then use the massage chairs. Heidi and I turned the massage chairs into a nightly must do, after a long day of touring Walt Disney World.
Hay buddy hope you two are doing great. This resort is truly our favorite and alligator bayou is our preferred spot also. We hope your week has been great and have a fantastic weekend. Oh we got several game cards ready to load every trip lol

We’ve spent many a time at Port Orleans Riverside, our favourite hotel bar none when our son was little. Had so much to do there, especially if you want to spend the day at the hotel! My son, like Michelle would love to spend his evening at the Arcade. Had many a meal at the food court and the restaurant! Got their cornbread recipe from Boatwrights. We stayed both at plantation hotel side and alligator bayou, also preferred alligator bayou, quieter and liked the remote pool there! I could visit the pool and catch up with laundry!
To be honest with you, prefer the currency, instead of cards, spent many a frustrating time with them!

It is such a beautiful and wonderful resort and are favorite of all. Love that corn bread at Boatwrights. Honestly have never done laundry at the resorts, but I know many people say that have card problems. We hope you have had a fantastic week.

Thanks Todd. We have stayed 3 times with our fur baby, it is an additional 50.00 per day and you recieve a dog bag with a plastic bowl, mat, container with waste bags and a Disney dog tag. They can be left in the room for 7 hours then you need ti be back to take them for a walk. Etc. Also housekeeping will not come to the room while a dog is in there, so when you come back call housekeeping for any cleaning and security check.
Also if you ever have a chance, take the guided fishing tour, they guide our of Riverside and Fort Wilderness, best bass fishing ever, catch and release. One of our highlights ever from Disney.

@TravelingAroundDisney We enjoyed our fishing out of Fort Wilderness, the different resorts fish out of different areas, and there are limited times per day.
This is one of my favorite resorts and it was my mother-in-law's all time favorite place...She is deceased now, so the resort holds a special place in my heart. What we loved about it was that it was "highly immersive" in theming(as you mentioned). The resort has a real homey and cozy feel to it. Also, my wife and I have always found very unique clothing items here as well(as you exhibited). I have to say that you did a fantastic job in the way that you presented the property....You showed the beauty and uniqueness of the resort and were very informative. And, I love the fact that you mentioned that dogs are allowed at Riverside...We have never taken our fur baby on vacation, but I can't think of a better place than Riverside for our Cockapoo! Maybe next time we'll take our pooch along! By the way, you mentioned "victuals" on one of the signs at the beginning....I actually had to look up this word for something myself a few weeks back...It basically means food supplies or provisions. Anyway, I think Port Orleans Riverside is very special and beautiful, and you presented in beautifully. Thanks!

Another great video! We would always stay between Riverside, Port Orleans and Caribbean Beach but for the last 10 years or so we have been staying at Pop Century 😊. There used to be a restaurant at Port Orleans called Bonfamille’s…it was the best prime rib on property and the portions were huge! I miss that place
It is such a great resort area. We love pop especially now because of ski liner. I do miss the Twinkie Tiramisu from pop. I remember that restaurant just couldn’t remember the name. Thanks for that.
Excellent resort video. We have booked this resort for 2024 so very excited after seeing this. That BBQ braised beef looked amazing so hopefully still on the menu for next year.

We stayed here in 2000 & 2009. Despite being spread out, the resort always felt warm and cozy. If I remember right, the Carriage ride cost $55 back in 2099!! Stayed in 1801 and 9052, so we got to experience the Bayou and Mansion sections. Thanks so much for the memory replay and a great review and in-depth tour!!!!

Thanks for the great video. Both Port Orleans' resorts are my favorites. We like the French quarter just a little more. The girls absolutely love the Mickey beignets, but who doesn't.

It’s a fantastic resort and our absolute favorite. This was mid day so a lot of folks were at the parks. The mane pool was packed. Everyone seems to forget about the smaller pools. Hope you have had a great week

Thank-you for this amazing video! It was a thorough and very beautiful tour. I’ve stayed at PO before and I realized I missed a lot of detail. Also, thanks for taking a hit for the team with that “meat” loaf, because that’s what I want to eat on my next visit. The faux tuna sandwiches in the parks are also better than the real thing. Which bedrooms/buildings would you say are the quietest? I am a light sleeper.
We would say building 26,37 or 85. Not close to the pools so usually a little quieter. Really have never had a problem with any of the buildings we have stayed at. Thanks so much for traveling along and being part of our traveling family. Hope your having a fantastic week.

Joshua welcome to our traveling family and we are so glad you found our channel. Definitely take a look at all of our Wish video along with the Fantasy and Dream ones. We loved the Wish. The only draw back for us was the adult area. Make sure to get some beignets at the Tiana themed lounge. Take the tour of the ship if it’s offered. Definitely try to do a Palo service and remember that have all you can drink POG juice at Marceline Market.we just may do those in the future.. hope your week has been great.

My wife and I booked a room in Riverside for April/24 but we have no idea where we are staying. When does the resort let you know? Looking at your video, we would like to stay in Alligator Bayou.
We absolutely love that resort. If you booked through a travel agent they can send in a request. If you booked it just call reservations and they can put in a request. Go to the front desk when checking in just to double check what area your in. Have a fantastic time and we hope our travels cross when you are here.

1:14 Those are Mickey's nephews, Morty & Ferdie, shown with Goofy. I believe this is the only place at WDW that features the Fieldmouse boys.
It is our absolute favorite resort. We have been staying there since they opened and it just feels like home. Still wish they would bring back breakfast At Boatwrights. I had breakfast at Boatwrights years ago. We had the most delicious sweet potato pancakes 🥞 The chef shared the recipe. I was so sad when they stopped serving breakfast. Just a wonderful Disney resort. 🫶🏾
If you have that recipe can you share. They were my absolute favorite. Do you remember the strawberries and cream side with the brown sugar??
