    Is there a trigger lock or do you have to hold the trigger at the speed you want?

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  4 месяца назад

      Hey mate, no trigger hold on this one, only has complete lock out when the tool is off

    Awesome video, answered the exact question I had in mind. Do you think the extra 1000 or so rpm really helps for polishing? Also did you do the entire car as in every panel with only that polisher 😮?

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks mate glad you liked the vid, absolutely the extra rpm makes a difference, I use this for sanding quite a bit and the extra speed is unreal. I did just a couple of panels on my car for the vid, it’s a bit small to do the whole car, leave at for the 18v machine which I have also 👍🏻

      @@Homeonthetools yeah I’ve used a pad on a drill and it didn’t really work well. Never really occurred to me that it might be the rpm. I bought one and I’m excited either way. The sanding feature with the twist lock discs is awesome and it saves me from using a pneumatic tool which makes my compressor run constantly. Not sure if you know but you can also get twist lock scotch brite pads which are awesome for finishing steel.

    There isn't a m12 brushless/fuel version of the polisher, at least not yet.

    I'm drawing a complete blank on how to attach sand paper to the backing pad? Am I missing something here?

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  11 месяцев назад +1

      It uses speed lock wheels, with a grub screw like thread, maybe you’re trying to attach to the buffer backplate, check for the sanding one, looks like a little suction cup with a thread

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  11 месяцев назад

      Hey mate, it has a 9mm .75 thread so you could attach what you like however I reckon 6inch would be a bit big on this machine

  • @johndowns4161
    @johndowns4161 Год назад

    What if I need to attach a 2inch attachment can I?

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  Год назад

      Nah mate it has a like a 3/8 fine thread attachment, what were you wanting to run with it?

    • @johndowns4161
      @johndowns4161 Год назад +1

      I polish round objects with multiple grits by hand with a foam 2inch hook and loop and need something light and small to use so my hands don't hurt daily @@Homeonthetools

    • @Homeonthetools
      @Homeonthetools  Год назад +1

      This tool is pretty good with fine sanding and polishing, it takes the speed lock discs, do a google search they are readily available and would take the work out of the hand polishing for sure 👍🏻

    • @Homeonthetools

      Nah it’s a 9mm .75 thread, you can buy on Amazon a 5/16 x24 thread adaptor if you need to

      4amp would last around 30mins on full speed, it does chew through the juice pretty quick, stick to small jobs, get the 18v for large ones 👍🏻

    It's muscle memory, but i think it's hilarious that we still do a circular motion with something that spins in a circular motion. I do it too
