Awesome video, answered the exact question I had in mind. Do you think the extra 1000 or so rpm really helps for polishing? Also did you do the entire car as in every panel with only that polisher 😮?
Thanks mate glad you liked the vid, absolutely the extra rpm makes a difference, I use this for sanding quite a bit and the extra speed is unreal. I did just a couple of panels on my car for the vid, it’s a bit small to do the whole car, leave at for the 18v machine which I have also 👍🏻
@@Homeonthetools yeah I’ve used a pad on a drill and it didn’t really work well. Never really occurred to me that it might be the rpm. I bought one and I’m excited either way. The sanding feature with the twist lock discs is awesome and it saves me from using a pneumatic tool which makes my compressor run constantly. Not sure if you know but you can also get twist lock scotch brite pads which are awesome for finishing steel.
It uses speed lock wheels, with a grub screw like thread, maybe you’re trying to attach to the buffer backplate, check for the sanding one, looks like a little suction cup with a thread
I polish round objects with multiple grits by hand with a foam 2inch hook and loop and need something light and small to use so my hands don't hurt daily @@Homeonthetools
This tool is pretty good with fine sanding and polishing, it takes the speed lock discs, do a google search they are readily available and would take the work out of the hand polishing for sure 👍🏻
Its nice tool for small jobs.
That size is perfect for me. For home use only. No auto shop business here…
Yeah I love it
Would like to see how it goes restoring headlights
sweet
Is there a trigger lock or do you have to hold the trigger at the speed you want?
Hey mate, no trigger hold on this one, only has complete lock out when the tool is off

Where I can buy the sanding pads for that tool.
If in Australia Sydney tools or total tools, can go online from Milwaukee themselves too or eBay
At the shop.

There isn't a m12 brushless/fuel version of the polisher, at least not yet.
I'm drawing a complete blank on how to attach sand paper to the backing pad? Am I missing something here?

Could you use this to clean ceramic tiles?
Don’t see why not, reckon it would be ideal
Thank you
Can thebavk plate be changed to a 6in?
Hey mate, it has a 9mm .75 thread so you could attach what you like however I reckon 6inch would be a bit big on this machine
What if I need to attach a 2inch attachment can I?
Nah mate it has a like a 3/8 fine thread attachment, what were you wanting to run with it?

Does this take 5/16 x 24 thread? @@Homeonthetools
Nah it’s a 9mm .75 thread, you can buy on Amazon a 5/16 x24 thread adaptor if you need to
whats the air pressure on this
Hey mate, not an air tool this one, battery operated
Wow
how long does the battery last?
4amp would last around 30mins on full speed, it does chew through the juice pretty quick, stick to small jobs, get the 18v for large ones 👍🏻
Thank you
@@Homeonthetools how long does the 18v last
You polished a full car with a battery????
Yeah
Can you put a cut off wheel on it
Suppose you could retro fit, would be pretty dangerous though I reckon
Hey mate, what is the yellow one for? Cheers
It is the polish applicator, they give you a couple of different density foam applicators white/yellow
Brushed shit, overpriced, nuff said. Same for Ryobi
This bloke doesn't have any tools.

It's muscle memory, but i think it's hilarious that we still do a circular motion with something that spins in a circular motion. I do it too
😂 years of hand polishing
