      Wash face and dry, then apply some pure corn starch baby powder to face. it will dry and lubricate the face making the shaver glide smoothly with no harm to the cutters. Do not use much pressure as that drags on the skin and can irritate. If you have dry skin apply some skin lotion afterwards.

      On the series 9000 prestige, no one seems to talk about the beard styler. Can you do a small video review on that!? Is it any good?

    I've been using the Philips Norelco SensoTouch 3D 1255x for many years. I had to go electric because cartridge razors were killing me. Every shave yielded razor burn. I use my philips dry, but I use the Remington Face Saver Pre Shave Powder Stick | SP-5B. It works great, allows the shaver to glide smoothly over the face. I almost always shave after showering, no burns. I'm thinking to upgrade to 9000 Prestige. I just need to verify the RQ111 trimmer works on the 9000. I need that to trim my beard.

    That was funny. Good, but funny...More channels should have a follow up on things that don't or may not go well when using a particular product. Good explanations and advice too...;-)

    I used Braun Series 9 for 2 years it was great with occasional slight razor burns , then I heard that philips putting out new shaver so i bought it , the s9000 prestige has great look and built quality shaves very close but i ve been using it for 2 weeks now and the experience is HELL i get sever skin irritations i tried wet shave things got little better but eventually i had to see a dermatologist because of the pain associated with this shaver.dont get it if you have sensitive skin.

    • @DHRME
      @DHRME  5 лет назад +2

      Did you try following some of the tips in this video? I had the same experience first, but after changing shaving speed and starting with neck first (and wet shaving) my experience improved drastically.

      @@DHRME I ordered one of these after watching your review which seemed very positive. Here you say the trimmer is crap and you both suffered irritation (from the shaver, not just from each other). It would have been handy to have this information in the review!

      I find that interesting. I found the Prestige to be easier on my skin than the arc 5 AND the Braun series 9 pro?

    Yeah....I tried the 7000 series and I turned away from Philishave....I looked like you in the photos..my usual beloved Braun series 7 replacement carts suck...AND THEN!...I found the old Gillette Sensor...why didn't i buy this when they had it on the shelf still...because I was too young perhaps..

    I havelm a really thick beard an it's kinda tough to shave using this Shaver, though it does it's job, I recommend shaving you beard more often if you have a coarse one.

    After I shave either with my Philishave or with my safety rasor I find that a lot of my facial heir lays low and does not get cut. I wet my face with water and a bit of shaving cream and rub my skin against the grain, then use my razor again. That tends to get more of the hair that would not get picked up before. There does not seem to be a perfect razor to accomplish this though the ads say there is.

    • @DHRME
      @DHRME  5 лет назад

      I tend to have that a lot around the neck area. Everyone's skin type and hair growth direction can be different. Have you tried a pre-shave treatment? That may help.

    so i dont have the prestiege, just the s9000, but the tips are good, nevertheless.....Nice, fun way to learn how to shave! And how about alum as an astringent instead of a balm?

    • @DHRME
      @DHRME  5 лет назад

      Thanks! Alum is great to stop bleeding from shaving cuts, but you still want to disinfect, calm and hydrate the skin after a shave, and for that a balm is better.

    yah, dude(s) … your cc _(closed-caption)_ messing up a bit … the guy with the beard enunciated *"balm"* correctly _(__7:11__)_ … cc interpreted as *"bomb"* … whereas, the 'clean' shaven dude on the left exacerbated the cc-annoyance by enunciating *"bomb"* . relax, i get the part about the humor. same cc-annoyance with *"after-shade"* instead of *"after-shave"* _(__6:51__)_ . you really should consider editing captions/ subtitles before posting videos … they're simple text-files.
    as for the _'content'_ of the video … s'just okay. philips/norelco states confusing protocol/method _(ingrown hairs)_ when compared to your video. so, idk really. thanks for the effort, guys.

    Why spend the money on this razor when there is no smartclean system? especially with limited time and sensitive skin? oils and buildup on the heads can really destroy your face.

    Hi i love your videos and always have had Philips but i hate that PHILIPS do not have text in the manual, just pictures and that do not say anything you can do with the shaver and it is diffucult to understand the pictures so it is total garbage. I got the SP 9862/14 but never PHILIPS again if they do not change the manual to text and explain everything you can do with the shaver !!!

    • @spidersense1472
      @spidersense1472 5 лет назад +1

      You can download a better manual from their website but I agree it should be included, especially at this premium price.
