Basic tips on how to tune sympathetic strings (taraf) on sitar

I had a bit too much coffee before making the video... Bare with me.
So a good friend of mine started playing sitar recently and he shared that he's not tuning the sympathetic strings because he broke 2 of them the first time he tried tuning them. I made this short clip for him and thought that maybe someone out there could find it useful.

Glad this helped! To strum them, you need a long pinky nail and then just stick your finger under the main strings and strum
