Cocktail Time in general :Subject content is different ,extremely interesting and inspiring…. Quality of production is the gold standard of cocktail channels….. great balance of seriousness and comedic relief.
Note of advice regarding siphons: if your siphon has a dip tube that reaches the bottom of the canister (like the second one in the video), it's right to invert and then release the gas like Kevin shows. But if your siphon does not have a dip tube (like the first siphon in the video), you should release the gas with the siphon upright. If you get these backwards, you'll end up shooting out the contents of your siphon all over the place. I only mention this because I only have a 1L ISI whipping siphon, and you can still make the drink with only a whipping siphon. Just make the base first, discharge (upright!) and pour the contents into a bottle (or make all your cocktails at once!) and then clean it out and use it make the foam. Love the idea of using the methylcellulose to make foam. This is a great trick and how I will use it the most. It's also nice to "recharge" your drink by topping it off with more foam as you drink it. :)
You are one of my favourite bartenders on RUclips. I love your style and I love how you try new crazy things. The ideas you come up with are on another level.
I am strictly an ale drinker. I don’t drink spirits or wines or anything else. They just don’t do it for me. But this content just keeps me coming back. Watching the careful preparations, the attention to detail and listening to the beautifully written/delivered description of the process is utterly engrossing. Never stop Kevin and co. This is amazing.
Absolutely unreal idea!!! I'd consider drying mint leaves and grinding those into a fine powder for the garnish though. I doubt it would be too bitter, but you are probably right with the earthy notes from the matcha instead of more mint.
@@kdean509 they are very boring and are just mixed fruit juice with sparkling water but non Alcoholic version of these channels creations are another level
Hi Hi! Another amazingly fun looking cocktail! If I don't have methylcellulose , can I substitute it with another ingredient? I'm not too sure where to find it in Canada, but I will try! Thanks!
Where do you get the ideas from? I mean not about the exact cocktails, but things like foam, justino etc. Would you recommend some book or other source of informations about those and similar techniques?
2:35 is there a reason to dry the leaves before then adding them and water to the blender? Sorry if this is like a noob question or smth it just stood out to me while watching
This looks awesome Kevin! Thanks so much for your incredibly well thought out recipes and videos. I had a quick question about your foams, why did you use methyl cellulose here instead of gelatin like you did in the Coca Cola rum old fashioned?
Sir, this is some truely next level sh*t! Expert at work- love your stuff. Will tag you on my humble Mojito clinic, staying somewhat more... basic :- ) Cheers
I love your ideas :) Can these foams also be created by whipping them with something like an electric whisk? I love the style, but dont want to own additional kitchen gadgets
@@KevinKos I literally ordered from a pharmacy supply website, I regret not buying it because it would have been no more than 5€. Someday I'll have it, however hehe
Some one needs to please make a trippy meditativo mustache video using him sayin "super juice" over and over again, but its just a floating mustache with a trippy background
How many times did you have to try this, then try it then try it again? Getting the balance with so many ingredients seems a daunting task. Sometimes balancing a Martini or Daiquiri can be stressful. Whats your trial and error process like? That might make for an interesting set of episodes.
Hello Kevin, the carbonation procedure makes for only one cocktail..? So every time I want to make a mojito I ll have to pour the rum, lime, syrup into the sifon?
This one was for two cocktails, but you can carbonate more liquid in a siphon this big. Pre-batch the cocktail and then just put it into the siphon and carbonate it when you need it.

Thank you for giving more info about this method! Much appreciated!
This one was a bomb of flavours! So fluffy, delicious and refreshing at the same time. Perfect!
Glad you like it! Cheers 🥂😊

Exactly. It would be to mint forward but of course, that can be done too. Maybe dry leftover mint from mint water and use that.
Having that mint foam on a nice thin piece of frozen, snappy dark chocolate. Oh yes!
🤤🤤 nice!
Literally ordered the Liber and Co Coconut Syrup and Orgeat yesterday! I’ll be making pina coladas and mai tai’s with my plantation rums! 😋🙉
Awesome! Enjoy!
My favorite mint to use is the Vietnamese mint grown from cuttings from my Grandma's garden
A lot of Tiki cocktails use mint as a garnish... I would love to see your spin on a MaiTai or a Zombie!
Thank you for the idea! Cheers!
always interesting, inspirational and new ideas on older classic cocktails. I always appreciate and am entertained. thanks and cheers.
Happy to hear that! Cheers!
Another superb twist on a classic! Please keep them coming!
Thank you!
Man I really need to pick up one of those ISI siphons. One of these days. Great video!
Thank you! It's a great tool to have in mixology and cooking 😊
So beautiful!!
Thank you!
Kevin is the Tarantino of cocktail making
Wow, I mean... Wow that sounds so interestingly good🤤😋
😊🥂
Is that possible to make a non alcoholic version of it?!! Love to see creative non alcoholic cocktails from your channel
Yes, it is. Thank you for the idea!
There are non alcoholic spirits available online. I haven’t tried them yet, but they seem cool!

Another winner!
Thanks!
It’s time for chocolate and Mint Foam dessert 😋
I like peppermint in mojitos. To me, it is less bitter than other mints.
In my household everyone loves mint. The entire container would be gone by the time the rest of the mojito carbonated 😂
Haha, you need a couple of soda siphons then 😆
As a mad dog when it comes to coconut milk, Ild even give a try to a regular mojito but just replacing the soda by fizzy coconut milk.❤😮
Hi Hi! Another amazingly fun looking cocktail! If I don't have methylcellulose , can I substitute it with another ingredient?

You can make foam using soy lecithin, pectin, gelatin, and agar agar. A lot of possibilities.
Is there a separate ratio when making foam with the materials you mentioned above?
Just Incredible

Would be interesting to make an Earl Gray tea foam. Or basil foam. Interesting
Time for a chocolate martini with mint foam.
Great idea!

Yes, you can! You can also make it in a blender and scoop up the foam.
I was this close to buying some methylcellulose last year, but I didn't. Wish I had (not that I have a syphon or some cherry or white rum lol)
And here is another reason to buy it 😁 cheers!

kevin, can u try make foam cocktail with soy lecithin? is't other opinions for vegan
Would this work with banana rum. Our thoughts please. Great video as usual.
If it's sweet then use less or zero sugar syrup. Otherwise yes, it would work great together.

When you have a degree in chemistry, but want to be a bartender.
Haha close! Civil engineering degree so I love to build cocktails and be precise with that 😆
I have a question 🙋🏻♂️
I have the whipping cream siphon with NO2 cartridges, how exactly do you make the foam instead of the whip cream?
I'll bite (on the foam): at what bar can I order this cocktail? ;)
Hey Kevin do you have any affiliate links for glassware used in this video?
Hi, one question. Methylcelulose is the same as CMC?
Hello Kevin, the carbonation procedure makes for only one cocktail..? So every time I want to make a mojito I ll have to pour the rum, lime, syrup into the sifon?

Thank you for the quick response.
Your work is magnificent.
Did u think about Mint Foam made from Mint Water, Mint Bitters and some Mint liquor, Lecithin and using a fish tank bubbler to made Airy Mint Foam?
That would work too!
If I want to change to coffee foam, can I used the same recipe for it?
You can, however I already made an episode about coffee foam. It's one of the latest episodes on the channel. Cheers!
Would blending be a sufficient way to recreate the mint foam without a siphon? Sadly the use of N2O cartridges is illegal in my country.
Yes, you can do that too.
I would like to know the name of the glass (Inverted Mojito), so I can buy it, please. (I know this is a long drink, but which brand?)
It0s a Luigi Bormioli glassware.
can i use the xantana and methil for another foam in sifon? thank you
Yes, absolutely

Shouldn’t muddle mint, only shake
