A reboot of wcw by combining tna and nxt. Could be good if done right.
Theyre not recreating wcw, theyre just protecting their assets. They still own WCW. They just have to constantly apply for copyright protection so nobody else tries to use it.
interesting that NXT, which is supposed to be training grounds for WWE, is doing almost as good or better then big time AEW now. Not making fun, just noting it’s interesting
Nxt catching Dynamite may be what’s best for business, it rewards HBK for consistently booking the best weekly wrestling show deserving of higher ratings and hopefully it’ll also show TK that something has to change and we’ll get a better product.
NXT what wrestling it’s like a bad soap opera all little skits and long ones minimal wrestling.

I would love the idea of WCW Brand as a seperant company under the TKO umbrella with President The Rock and head of creative Brian Gewirtz with different roster and PLEs and maybe once every year they have like the Worlds Collide with WWE vs WCW roster.

That theme song for the news was so generic. JDFROMNY206 had used it years before WRESTLETALK.
WCW would be a great idea, if it was put on a Thursday night show and giving the title Thursday night Nirto and it was a Netflix tape show that they can test out shane idea out and by using this to highlight the next level of talent across the world. It could even be a throwback to nitro in the early night format but done in morden era of showcase the latest type of product. Also would be funny to see TV title back but more like a Internet Heavyweight championship belt and to see the cruiserweight belt once again returning again.
It would be amazing, plus you can put some talent onto that product and also bring back starcade once again as a premium live main event show.
Although making a WCWWE would be a worst idea just like WWECW, it’s going to fade into obscurity.
@@MegaMr46 it can work if it was on streaming service and was organized like it should be. If they was going to put anyway it would be netflix and airing it on a Thursday, then it could work. Also you really think that Paul is going to let something like this be dead on arrive, trust me dude it can work. Just look at 2015-2017 NXT so it can happened

I guess a WCW revival could be nice, but I also feel like it wouldn't be different enough from WWE, personally, I feel like an ECW revival could be amazing since it would be more extreme and therefore a little more different than regular WWE.

You got to bring WCW back. Just saying it was the best and until it went off the rails; I was fully invested in both companies. It would get me back into WWE. It has to be less talk, more action though.

I honestly thought that Christopher Daniels was an interim GM taking Kenny Omega's place for the time being. I never equated it to taking Tony's place. Not sure if I'm right, though.
If I remember correctly, he stated that he is an Interim Executive Vice President and explicitly said he is the "mouthpiece for Tony Khan."
@dougcrane7991 well, that's kind of what all the EVPs were... the on screen Tony Khan mouthpieces before Tony started occasionally showing up on screen. I still think he's a placeholder for Kenny.

I doubt this WCW re-filing will amount to anything.
But here's my thoughts on AEW as of current(With me watching the reviews):
In-Ring - GOOD to AMAZING.
Storytelling - It's all over the place
Literally all WWE wants to do with the WCW trademark is to hopefully sell some merch since there will be some buzz about WCW with the documentary. There is zero point in bringing WCW back as a brand. We are long past the point of WCW holding any brand value. They’re already using WCW PPV names and themes for PLEs and NXT events. That’s all they should continue to do.
WCW Monday Night RAW, ECW Friday Night SmackDown and FCW Tuesday Night NXT could be a good for business if a certain someone was the face of a brand
If they bring back WCW they should bring back classic style matches. IMHO I'm tired of the constant high flying, extreme style.
It’s interesting that Brian Cage didn’t win! Because I Mark is already a champion so it’s a shame that Cage resigned with AEW and is still losing. Chris Jericho had me cracking up in laughter 😆 showing how to scoop up food in catering backstage! 🤣 that was funny random stuff! I am also looking forward to seeing how AEW will continue to grow and use Kris Statlander as a heel.

this isn't the first time wwe planned on revivaling WCW into a brand there were talks on doing that when WWE revived ECW into a brand when that was over there were rumors back then that wwe was going to do that that was in 2010 when WWE shut down ecw brand that's when i heard the rumors of WCW brand. so if they're doing it now, trying it for the second time. it'as not going to be as good as it was hen wcw was a company, it's going to be "WCW" in name only, like it was with "ECW" brand, that was also "ECW" in name only.
Bischoff will go to no ends to rewrite history and get the stank of killing two promotions off him. Guy destroyed WCW and TNA(before it was revived)

The WCW revival needed ECW in the mix to keep it fresh and even then WWE wanted to squash them all. I guess TNA getting invaded by WCW wouldn't be that bad of a storyline if you try to do something like how the NWO started.
That Eric Bischoff is still dining out on having a good year in the '90s is an indictment of the wrestling business' inability to learn from past mistakes. That anyone takes what he says seriously is proof of how easy it is to work its weirdly tribalistic fans into a froth.
