Kia Ora Romero...From Qld Australia...Maori in Australia...We are getting excited waiting for our New baby Ricoma CHT 2...(thanks to your advice and others of going straight to the top!)...We will be donating 10 each week for thanks and will in probably most circumstances be donating 50 every now and then. We thank you for your sound advice and professionalism. I learn so much from your videos. My teenage children and husband will all be able to follow your guidance as it is well structured. Appreciate All You Give To The Embroidery Community...Many Thanks...Youth Identity!...Kae Caps!...Peace!
Thank you for providing these classes for us based on your experience and knowledge. Digitizing and embroidery are a constant learning process. It was great that you provided the time to do the stitch outs of the files which looked fantastic. They both came out very clean. The digitizing proof is in the stitch out. As we know, what you see on the computer screen may not be what the finished product looks like. Looking forward to the upcoming classes to add to my digitizing and embroidery knowledge base.
Wanted to say your info about the “object branch” function has been a game changer. I have always used group but it didn’t quite do what I wanted it to do. I didn’t know what the branch feature meant so I never used it. I will be using this a lot. I used Stitch Era software.
Started Saturday's class but had to watch the finished video today. Well worth waiting for this information. I love the way you explained Branching. Your examples were perfect and the fact that you provide additional info and sew out your projects is an added bonus. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for your tutorials, I am brand new Learning digitizing, like a lot of people. When I work on practicing your example my work looks flat vs yours has a roundness to tour edges. Do you have any suggestions if it is something in my settings that need to be changed, or something I maybe doing wrong? I am using Embrilliance with all the modules. Thank you again for everything. Happy New year
Thanks for the lesson! I would love to learn more about finding business as a new shop! Maybe others would love this too in the early part of 2022 to help us grow our businesses..thank you!
Love your videos! they have helped me a great deal already. But I have Janome Artistic Digitizer Jr software, are you familiar with this one and if so is it adequate ? or would you recommend a different one? any advice would be appreciated . Thank you!
I been watching your videos a couple months ago and know you get in the spirit of this Business. Is there a school to go to learn about it or just look for a job and learn from there. Best regards Mr Romero
There is no school specifically on any business. Usually you have business schools that teach the fundamentals of business in general. I read and listen to a lot of audio books on business which really helps.
Hello Ever, I just got to watch this video, first let me thank you for your effort to teach digitizing, you have tremendous heart, my gratitude for that. I have a question about something you didn't cover in the video and is how did you digitize the knock down to embroider the beanie. If you have another video where you explained please refer me to it. Thank you very much.
Thank you for the message. I have a class where I go into details all about a knockdown stitch. Check the link, thanks. ruclips.net/video/vwm9sXqpu8U/видео.html
Things I'd like to know: 1.) Object Properties (how to use and when to change) 2.) Puff (lettering and other objects). 3.) Applique (letters and on other objects). 4.) Stitch Angles (lettering and other objects) 5.) Borders, Outline and Offsets 6.) Team Names 7.) Monogramming 8.) All fill stitch types (when to use them) 9.) Creating approval sheets (with design information and product visualizer enabled) 10.) Converting true font into stitch font 11.) Hoop settings (shift P) 12.) Threads tab and settings (select thread charts) 13.) Creating a template (also adding a send to tab from the Connection Settings) 14.) Short cuts (and how to make short cuts) 15.) Converting image to embroidery (using JPEG, vector and ect with CorelDraw) 16.) Dockers and Toolbars settings. 17.) Machine Runtime Setup (in settings).
Perfect and on time! Easy to follow along too. Could you tell me the steps for branching in the Wilcom Decorating E.4.5 software? It only has join to the closest object not the branching. Thank you soo much for the time that you have taken to teach us! Much needed. You are doing a great job!
Hello, good question. If you don't have the branching function then you have to manually insert a run stitch. I will speak about this exact example in the next class.
Hello. Where can I find the document sample of where/how to break up the letters? For example, "A" is digitized in 2 parts, "M" is digitized in 3 parts. Thank you.
Just what a new digitizer needs. I missed how you get the already digitized place to start on example 3. Please tell me how to do this. I have Bernina software. Also, do you do digitizing for others?
Hello, I find a font thats very similar, then I break it apart and adjust the nodes to match my design font. Let me know if that makes sense. Also, All my digitizing is for my shops work. I only digitize for others in certain situations.
Hi Romero, do you have any training about stiches types and digitizing process. For example if you are using Run stitch on digitizing project what does it mean length 4.5, how will that affect when you are creating nods on the screen. And is it possible to continue run stitch after you press enter without creating a new object. For example: you start digitizing one bigger project but want to avoid jumps and start over's, is it possible to stop the stitch and then continuing on the same spot without creating a new object.
Hello, thank you for the message. A run stitch of 4.5 means that every 4.5mm it will make a stitch, that's usually a long stitch to use. And yes, you can run stitches in between objects if you you branch it, or break up the object and run the run stitch in between and set your sequence accordingly.
I know this comment is a bit late in the game - regarding the wilcom software - Hatch 2 had the braching too and it is around $1100 (waiting for the valentine day sale - hopefully they have one!) The hatch2 software is awesome!
Why are you not using the pulse Software? Its by far the best and the only Software to use vector grafics Like they should. Do you ever use viscose besides Polyester? Viscose looks in my opinion more colour full but its not as beginner friendly.
I have a question for you. I need to embroider a logo on the right chest of a windbreaker with a mesh lining. Do I embroider with lining in place? Or do I try to undo lining and hope I can stitch it back up? Also how much backing should I use? Thank you so much for your time. Allison
I would embroider over the lining. Some shops, if possible remove the lining, it all depends in the difficulty and if its possible. Usually 2 pieces of cutaway is common, but like with everything else, making a sample on a similar garment is the best way to check a certain design.

Hello. Thanks for these classes. Is branching available in chroma software? Can`t find it.
Thanks for this. Where do you find all your font cheat sheets for different fonts?
INFORMATIVE! so cool! is this wilcom software will work if I use BROTHER or other machine?
Yes, should be able to export to all formats.

Newbie here. Can you download the manual for PE Design 11. Enjoying your very informative videos. I'm learning so much, Thank you!

@@RomeroThreads Could you do a tutorial on how you did the knock down stitch and benefits of using this method?
Will you teach us to digitize for different items? Knits, wovens, beanies, caps?
I sure will. Its a really important topic, thanks!!

Hello from Florida
What backing is best for oval shaped logo on Polo
Always Cutaway with polos.
What is a knockdown stitch?
I would like to see how to digitize lettering for a cap
Yes, I will add info on hats.
Hi can I ask what the branching tool is on PE11 Software?
I haven’t worked with PE11, but it should have the same name if its available.
What software are you using
Wilcom Studio 4.5
How can I get a copy of your page showing how the letters are formed?
I will post it for free download on the description by the end of today. I will also add it on our Facebook page under Romero Threads.
Here's the link to today's show notes. Let me know if you have any questions.
