Thank you for posting this video. I ride the big brother of this, a 2021 R1250R. I have to confess it is a fantastic bike to ride, but I like the simplicity of the R NineT. I miss having clocks, and an honest key, and am tempted to 'downgrade.' In many ways smaller engined bikes are better for the road.
Hi, love the video, amazing roads you have. Sorry to hear about your crash. Just thinking of moving to R NineT from 1250gsa, for health reasons, not quite the same as yours, something smaller and more manageable is what I am after. I’m interested in your nav setup, any info much appreciated. All the best George
Thanks! Don't know how heavy the GS is, but the R NineT is relatively light. Not as light as the Street Triple, but still manageable. For navigation I use the CaliMoto app, with a Quad-Lock phone case & wireless charger mounted to the handlebars. Hope that helps!
man, the irony of crashing your bike on a bike safety course.... I sometimes worry that my riding skills are degraded having gotten used to the rider aids also
@Marc no worries! Keep in mind that it depends on your handlebars, on the street triple the clamp was ever so slightly too wide, so it ended up kind of wonky...

Thanks for sharing! And: A new joke about us crouts. Since one year, and I'm a beginner, I do wonder, why in the world would you need a display option for the actual consumption. Bam! You're having it on, all the time during this video. Me: Why doesn't it show the temperature? Well, as I've said, I'm a beginner, so you should not pay too much attention.
I only have the consumption on to estimate fuel based on KM driven, because it doesn't have a fuel gauge.... It does have a temp gauge, but that doesn't really impact my trip in any way, so I hardly ever check it.
I'm not sure what the seat height is exactly, I don't have the bike anymore. But I'm 175cm with relatively short legs for my height (30" inseam) and I was easily able to get both feet down flat with a bend in my knees. I reckon you'd be fine, but maybe just find a dealer and try sitting on one?
How did you find the transition from ST to R9t? I’m thinking to switch from my 2012 ST R and I believe that you can share some pro’s and con’s Thank’s!
Initially it was fine, because I hadn't ridden them back to back. But I'm now considering switching back, I just ride too sporty in general and am hitting the limits of the R9T for ambitious riding. If you want something more comfortable and less aggressive, it still offers plenty of oomph and character though and it looks stunning!
Oh also, the shaft drive does this weird thing where it unloads the rear wheel when shifting down more aggressively, which can make the rear feel like its on ice. For sporty riding I found that super unnerving personally
@@toffcookie1234 good information to take care when I’ll test R9t. I will follow you video, maybe with your new future bike you will compare more both :). Best thoughts!
Damn, that Akra is too silent Its almost a waste for the extra costs. I advice you to get another exhaust and give it another chance. The ST is much louder stock and is hearable more sporty. Sound of the engine does a lot in the driving experience and 109 bhp with 120nm Torque should be more than adequate
@@toffcookie1234 that has nothing to do with the shaft drive, thats because the r9t does not have a slipper clutch so if you downshift hard the rear wheel locks up for a short amount of time because of the engine braking.

Danke, dass du auch nachts gefahren bist, damit ich das Kurvenlicht live erleben kann. Das kam bei mir nie zum Einsatz 😅

Smaller engines… 50ccm less. 🧟♂️

Hi, what mount are you using for your phone on this bike?
Quadlock handlebar mount 👍
Great Bike! One Question, what did you use to mount your Phone in the Middle of the Bar?
I've got the Quadlock handlebar mount attached to the left of the handlebar clamp. It reaches over just far enough to centre the phone nicely
@@toffcookie1234 Thank you! Looks really clean!

@@toffcookie1234 Thanks for the Tip! I´m also getting an R NineT so it should fit. Good Riding! Loved the Video by the way, I hope to see more.

May I ask you
What is the seat height of R NineT? And I'm wondering does an R NineT suit for short rider? I'm around 166/167 CM.

I buy NINET 2023 option 719....Triumph is total SHIT.....BMW is other league
To each their own 🤷♂️ I found the build quality on the BMW kind of... lacking, especially for the price!
