I know WaDi has a good mewtwo, but with almost everyone pretty much playing a rush down character now I feel like his mewtwo is struggling, mewtwo feels like a character who wants to approach but can easily retreat, when the bar fight is going on they are on the outskirts knocking out some people then retreating to hide or chuck beer bottles at people
indeed. normally wadi likes to get info in the first game with mewtwo and then punish in the next games. But with a player like riddles i feel like he got steamrolled so fast he got nothing to use and because of that the rob failed. rough stuff

Man, I’m a huge riddles fan (and fellow Canadian), but I’d like to see Wadi take at least one game. Especially that game 2, where I felt like he outplayed Riddles. All the best to them both though!

Who does Panda have that’s doing well in tourneys? WaDi, ESAM, and Marss are all underperforming and/or focusing on content. Seems like Panda wants to work on YT more than tourneys

Yeah but with mewtwo and some of his other characters. Those matches add up if he is going to mix it up. Plus I just said it wad a main problem. Wadi is still good.
i think all of his characters struggle with matchups and while he's learning more, i really think that his only tourney competent characters are icies mewtwo and rob. mewtwo loses to a lot of relevant characters. his playstyle is prone to being overwhelmed by the amount of fast players and his advantage state is relatively weak.

Wadi made some very questionable decisions that cost him any chance in this set.
Still a decent set regardless.

The Rob was a lot nicer than the mewtwo in this set but Riddles is just too clean
The difference maker for this set looked like wadi not going for grabs. And not adequately punishing terrys burst options.

Wadi was beyond outclassed in this one.
Nah, he was doing really well in game 2 until that SD. That killed all his momentum and gave Riddles the opening he needed to blow him up.
So he was still outclassed if a single SD shook you that much that it carried over into 3rd game.

Yeah the amount of people who have top 8’d a major in attendance this tournament is absolutely absurd. This one just hurts especially bad cuz WaDi is our guy.
WaDi was seeded to lose to MuteAce for 25th, which sounds about right. To put it into perspective, Leo Fatality was a match that took place at the same point in bracket as this set. Smashcon is just incredibly stacked and if you’re not a legitimate threat you’re not getting top 8

That's called experience. Riddles is just too good as demonstrated. He knows when and how to use the go meter in combos, openers and punishes; it's not a brainless exercise. Riddles proves this over and over again that he's a top tier player. I have nothing against Wadi, but this match shows Wadi's game weakness with Terry and Riddles capitalized it for the victory. GG!
