As a small woman (5 ft, 100 pounds), I am generally leery of backpacks because they are almost always too long for my torso. So I appreciate that you modeled the Synapse 19 - very reassuring to see that the pack should indeed fit me. And, wow, it holds a ton of stuff. Many thanks and well done!
nice review, question, in the thicker material available I have heard that one pocket with stuff in it does not encroach on other pockets like most back packs do. do you find the same is true for the material yours is made of?
Weiyan - This Tom Bihn Bag is not a replacement for the Think Tank Perception Pro - they are two completely different bags. The Synapse is not a true camera bag and as such, does not have any padding except on the back panel and there are no compartments on the inside of the bag for camera gear. You would need to use inserts to use it as a camera bag. The Think Tank has compartments built in specifically for holding your gear and is a larger bag overall. Hope this helps. How tall are you? I am trying to get an idea of just how big/small this bag is.
