I just saw this for the first time! This is possibly the greatest performance of Wolf's hilarious song about a surprise visit from a critic. (At the end he's helped down the stairs with a kick in the ass.) Given the subtle Wagner references at several points, he probably had Hanslick in mind. Too bad it's not subtitled. The words are great.
Thank you for sharing this ! I have been wanting to upload scenes from this film - of which some of the dialogues, by the way, are very amusing and the whole film very 1970s - but have not - alas ! - been able to work out so far how to digitalise video tapes ... The film was made to introduce Prey's collection of 27 33 rpm records with 500 titles of the German lied.
Toll gesungen und so facettenreich gespielt mit Stimme und Körper. Ein großer Musiker ist eben ein großer Musiker!
Einfach wunderbar, und sehr erfreulich.
Großartig!

Great presentation! I wonder if Mr. Prey didn't have such a gorgious vioice if he would have been an actor.
