    What width are your slats?

      My slats are 7×8

      @@TabooCustoms I'm actually building my own downdraft and wondering at what depth would a sheet 'survive'. I can see you cut over a channel in the middle of the table that seems to be surviving over time, and it looks to be at the same depth as the bottom of the slats?

      Yeah I think they are 3 inches deep. The original tray was two trays bolted together in the middle. I just cut the center out of both and left them noted together. I've cut a lot of sheets on it and have yet to completely replace the slats. I have rearranged the slats a couple times to swap high and low use areas.
