When you take into account sillage and longevity, I think the de Marly line is worth it. They are all real powerhouses, or maybe I should say powerhorses to refer to the heritage of the house. The scent is not obnoxiously in your face, but two sprays and it still pleasantly lingers in my clothes a couple of days later. Not too many perfumes can do that.
I own both Meliora & Amethyst & they do have very similar opening only the Meliora evolves & the Amethyst almost stays the same till the end which is about 2 hours. Maybe you are right that Meliora is the baby from Amethyst & Sigorina Mysteriosa, though haven’t tried the Signorina. 😊
I finally found a perfume shop in Germany which has niche perfume brands and had the chance to smell so many. Meliora was one of them. I find the berry note is only there in the opening, afterwards it goes clean on my skin, but I can not detect the berries anymore.😔 it's amazing and I will buy it nonetheless, I fell in love with it. But I'm kind of sad the berries don't last long.🙈
I know they are expensive if you buy retail- that’s why Ebay is good. I got my Delina for about 152. I need to sell it though.. Because I don’t think I will ever like it.
Everyone waxes lyrical about this house personally I don't understand the hype sure they're nice that's it they definitely do NOT warrant the hefty price tag
It is an gorgeous fragrances and perfect for this time of the year!! But you have to be warned, it is the least lasting from all of their female fragrances unfortunately, maybe 4h and a bit more... Safanad is a beautyfull heavy on the orange blossom note fragrance, for the warmer weather more an evening scent gorgeous to! Meliora, Cassili, Delina and the Exclusif are probably the most appropriate for the summertime, and also the one with the white bottle and the golden cap, this one is more the "classy, rich lady in a white dress", but also the most appropriate for the warmer seasons.....
I bought Meliora and it's gorgeous but the performance is unbelievably disappointing, especially at that price point. I bought Amethyst for 20 dollars and got the same experience. I also agree with you about the house. They produce clone/hybrid fragrances, and with terrible performance. I almost bought Oajan also but decided to try Ambre Narguile by Hermes first. And unsurprisingly, it's a total dupe. I'm not falling for it anymore!
@@marisamountaki The OG Delina smells similar to Versace Dylan Blue for women minus the rhubarb note if I'm remembering correctly. It just smells like a typical shampoo peony/petalia fragrance with that horribly sour/tart rhubarb thing going on. VDB just smelled men to me, but I would take it over Delina any day.
So glad someone else notices how PdM is just a niche house duping designer fragrances. You mention that on some of these YT reviewers' channels and start a firestorm of controversy. Honestly, a lot of niche fragrances smell like designer releases to me, but with better materials so more 'upscale', but certainly not worth the price. I haven't found one PdM that I can tolerate except Percival and that's a dupe of Fierce or so I've heard LOL.
Its similar to signorina mysteriousa, but better blended and higher quality. Lalique amathyst is such a washed out scent in comparisant. This is way way better in preformance and overall quality. Its worth the price!
I can't smell Meliora.I sprayed it on my arm and on the sleeve...and I can't pick up the smell...sadly,for that price I think I will pass for now. I'm planning on getting the whole collection and it's so hard to decide 😩
Interesting. I had been thinking about this perfume but since you compared it to the other two which I own, I’ll have to pass on this. I agree with a lot of their perfumes smelling like other cheaper fragrances.

Every single fragrance on the planet smells of some other fragrance, its just so many of them its impossible to create one that everyone agrees it doesnt remind them of any other. They all use the same notes, and the combination of those notes will sometimes match up with others. @@katharinanikol4206 Meliora is fruity, and all fruity fragrances dont last long, so that is not a reflection on the brand. But I have a sample of Delina, while the scent is not groundbreaking, it smells so natural and I smell it on my clothes until they go to the washer. :)

All these people complaining about Parfums de Marly all of a sudden is hilarious. I see this all the time, one slightly less positive review comes out and everyone starts crapping too. Same with the opposite, if they hype something up, they go and blind buy a full bottle. Yes PDM is expensive and you can find perfumes that smell like others (all perfumes are this way, there is not an unlimited abundance of notes, all perfumers use the same ones so the combination will repeat sometimes).
