I love this editting. Catnap playthroughs are always 1-2hours long because of tiring and redundant puzzles after puzzle. However, this video cut through all that, keeping the scenes needed for enough context for first time watchers.
I like Poppy Playtime, especially chapter 2, but this chapter was just insufferable and frustrating but this video and editing made it seem so watchable and viewer friendly.

I love how out of all streamers playing chapter 3 Connor just casually laughs at every "scary scene". blud even said 'excuse me' whilst nightmare catnip entered the room lmfao
It really fascinates me what people's idea of what is Scary and what isn't. I think Connor not being scared has a bit to do with lack of immersion in the game(talking to chat and such) also, he's just doesn't take anything seriously when it comes to video games.
This chapter also just drags on, so it's hard to get immersed in even if you aren't streaming. Imo it's the least scary chapter.
@@demetriam2408I actually felt the opposite, and I was so immersed in this chapter I felt genuinely uneasy watching it towards the end. I guess it depends on what you’re paying attention to? I was taking in all of the different gore environments, and incidentally, all the death, and CatNap himself looks like a childhood fear of mine, Sonic.EXE, so my immersion was CRAZY scary 😅
The first one he was scared at. This one just sucks dick at that. He was scared at Fear and Hunger or at least disturbed. It is just the difference between horror made for teens and kids and actual horror.
Lol, knowing him, he was probably more immersed in solving the puzzle than the horror aspect of the game

Doesn't seem all that appealing Imma be honest. Constant redundant puzzles, zero suspense or build-up to anything "scary", all the scares are just jumpscares, horrible auto-saves, etc. I'm sure the game is fine, even though the company behind it is horrible and thrives on cash grabs, but at least to me - though I only played Chapter 1 on my own - it's barely an ok puzzle game, but completely fails as a horror game or whatever else it's trying to be.
@@Andras0 chpt 3 overblows the puzzle to chase/tense ratios to me, every time i get scared i mellow out thanks to the off time doing puzzles instead of being chased or horrified

I follow the Poppy chapters for the speedruns, and this chapter is leagues in production value.
But, I think I like Chapter 2 the best. It's not that long, and each section Mommy is just actively trying to fuck you over. In here, it's like Chapter 1 where the antagonist isn't someone you speak with but it's prolonged in a way that I don't prefer. Each act feels disconnected in some way.
The scariest is chapter 1, my favourite and the best is chapter 2.
I go to horror games not to get scared but to look for certain character dynamics that are present only in horror games.
Ideally games that are like RPGMaker horror games where there is usually a good deuteragonist, or the antagonist is a character you actively see.
In horror games, characters that are just guiding you along the way is not something I like unless they are the antagonist and we know they are in some way.
Ollie might be the prototype, idk, but I don't like Ollie.
Poppy could've been a deuteragonist but she decides to just sit back and not join us, and I feel like that was a missed opportunity.
Best moment in this chapter was the boss fight actually, that goes hard. It'll be pretty hard to top that in the next chapter.
The hour of joy also goes hard.
The thing I like the most in this chapter is how everything in the engine itself runs better, but there's a chance you probably don't even recognise it.
Either way, I'm looking forward to Chapter 4. As much as the devs had done some cringe stuff, the production quality is always there.

I can't blame him for not being scared by this game. Everything is scripted down to the death animations, so it's all very predictable. And the only real scares are just jumpscares.
Predictability automatically makes things less scary.

My favourite horror game, well, it's a visual novel, but 1 scene is something like that but it's a package instead of a letter. And realising the package exists, and the process of realising what's inside it without opening it is genuinely 100% the most scared I've been in any media period.
There's no chaser chasing me, no jumpscare, just a truth I don't want to acknowledge. It is like, I've never been that scared like EVER.
PT didn't make me feel this way though I do like PT as well.

Dream sequence so far. Expected a jumpscare at the end but it went back to the present and that was more nerve inducing for me since it's leading to a real scare. Done better imo than a jumpscare would have been.
