I'd still put DMAS at dead last tbh. This isn't for every room, but there are some rooms where you can still escape Pizzaface after being jumpscared by going back to the last room before returning and starting over.

Bad news, the lap 4 mod has basically none of the level alterations that lap 3 mod has, which means that a lot of lap 4s are either stupid difficult (requring frame/pixel perfect inputs) or just straight up impossible

I saw your first lap 3 video while I was still doing the second floor on my first playthrough. It made me want to get the mod and try it out , which I did. I went to p-rank some levels to get used to them, then started my lap 3 tries at John Gutter cuz it was the first level. Needless to say, it took me a bit to find out what tech I could use to do better, and after beating lap 3 John Gutter, I ended up just doing that for the rest of the levels I'd seen. Your video helped me figure out little strats an made me get better at the game. From then on, I only progressed through the game in a specific order: first playing through a level, then spending time to P-rank it, then going for Lap 3. And only once I beat a lap 3 would I go to the next level. As frustrating as some attempts were, it made the game much more fun and satisfying for me, and I don't think I'd prefer my first playthrough any other way. So thank you for popping up on my feed one day haha.
Still can't get over that level name. In the years Wario Land 4 came out, even seeing such a word was unheard of in ANY media... and here it's a freaking level name. XD How far we've come from the 90s/early 2000s era of gaming. Kind of wonder what ESRB rating the game would get.... though given Shadow the Hedgehog has tons of swearing and only got E10+, probably T....at worst.

If you had to do the levels 3 times in a row back to back, I'm sure Peppibot would make WAR look like John Gutter cause WAR looks like you can do it consistently when you master it, Peppibot...looks like luck as the smallest screw up or your nerves getting shot will end you, and you can't use muscle memory.
Kind of funny how with ANY challenge run, Ancient Cheese is always deceptively harder than most of floor 2 and even 3. Doesn't surprise me challenge runners skip it and just come back later cause of the tricky runback.

@@kjkwru Yeah, when you figure out Pizzascare's layout, it's arguably one of the easiest P ranks in the game. It mostly relies on the gimmicks to be challenging but if you kill all the ghosts that block the run back and dont' forget John, it's very straight forward, arguably more so than even Pizzascape.
Wasteyard was my first "First try P rank" period. I got a ton of practice trying to learn the P rank in the first floor, but those are deceptively hard for first time players, then after struggling forever with Oregano desert, I decided to skip it and try Wasteyard and.....first try P rank (well I did have to remember the level layout and John's door location but... the run back was practically first try). Hehe I guess it's just that kind of level, being the shortest and mostly playing itself thanks to the ghost transformation.

Fun Fact for Pizzascape: You don’t need to jump for the difficult room, since Peppino will climb for like a quarter of a second and run normally to the door.

I guess War is just a matter of "Do it once and you can do it again" It's not "harder" because of the time limit, more so psychologically harder, but Pizza face kind of forces you to be fast and beat it quickly anyway. Whereas Peppibot factory demands perfection and very little time to practice. Seeing that final climb section, the END of the level, it almost looked like he got lucky to get past it. and it'd take hundreds of attempts to do it consistently. Let alone the conveyor belts and the jukes you have to do. Though I kind of feel like going the "Secret" route to skip the juke may be a bit easier. Still That's like taking an ice cube to the desert.... or Noise's bucket of water. Helps with a part you don't normally think about but the rest still is a grind.
You can actually dodge pizza face if you miss the jump on deep dish 9. when you get teleported back you have to wait for pizza face to get close and run up the wall and shoot out to the first olive bubble thing. Then just bounce on the roof till the end, thats how I got my lap 3 atleast.
If anyone ever gets to play lap 3 with speed demon moveset or pizelle, i recommend you to try bloodsauce dungeon, since you mantain speed from wall jumping you can just dash through the whole thing at mach 4 once you memorize the level
I like how some of the stuff booglet make to beat the lap 3 are innececary, like in john gutter, in the hard section where you gotta get down quickly. You just gotta jump off the laders and as soon as you touch the floor do a grab, then you just gotta get to the pizza box and press down and that's it. In waste yard in the hard section you just gotta trick pizza face to make him go up by wall running to the ceiling and then get down fast (I haven't proved that last one so if I'm wrong just tell me) and so go with the rest of the levels :p
Note: On a deep dish 9 lap 3, if you miss the jump, you can dupe pizza face on the wall behind you, and use the olive to get to the door. The only reason you can’t do this the first time is because pizza face comes down from the top.

@Cossicle r-r-freezerator has a lot of pits so it makes it harder. Pizzascare however is a straight lined level so its easier to P-rank
