Thanks so much, Tina. You're always very kind. We're enjoying the first weekend of our Canadian holiday in Toronto. Flying again tomorrow to the Atlantic coast. 🍁🇨🇦
My cousin had a very rare skin disease and had to travel to new York all the time when we was a child for medical treatment and his doctor gave him this car only it was silver because my cousin always talked about how long they was because in west Virginia you don't see limos lol he's passed away and surely missed but his limo Cadillac is still around and me and him still have never road in one lol thank you Andrew this casting realy has some memories for me it was never played with just always on the car shelf we had
I'm glad this one brought back memories in a good way. The nostalgia angle is what got me going in this hobby in the first place. It seems they all spark some kind of memory for me. Sadly, all of my childhood castings are long gone. Hang on to that limo! 🍁👍
@@MapleLeafCustoms we sure will Andrew his room is just like it was when he left with all his cars and collectibles on display it's a good place to visit when I make it home and sometimes I even add a few I find along the way that we both enjoyed
Another fine project Andrew, I would be very pleased if that pulled up outside my house to take me out, great colour choice, very classy!...and the Greenlight wheels looked a treat, your so right the clear glass looked 💯% better...take care and enjoy your holiday, bye for now, Phil 👌👍🌞

14th thumbs up Andrew, always beautiful Customs, and the 2 tone paint job looks stunning and thanks for sharing it with us and have a great weekend brother 👍😎👊
Wasn't quite sure where you were going to go with this one. It turned out very nice. The glass was a huge improvement, but it's strange seeing a limo without tinted windows! Well done sir.
@@MapleLeafCustoms oh I wasn't trying to imply that's what you should have done. I think it looks fine as is! Otherwise you wouldn't be able to see all that fancy white leather!
Very nice one again Andrew... You definitely stepped that limo up a notch or two.. I really like the 2 tone paint job. The clear windscreen was a huge improvement too.
Thank you, Vic. I'm sorry for my lack of viewing on your channel (all channels) as of lately. Did all I could to finish these MLC builds before leaving for Canada. Promise to get back in the swing of things soon! All good things, including vacation, must come to an end, and then it'll be back to normal. 🍁👊
@@MapleLeafCustoms Hi Andrew. It isn't a problem in the least.. I know you have been pretty hectic on the bench making all the customs come to life and scheduling them ahead of time so you could have your "Home Country Hollz"... Sometimes it's nice just to chill and have a breather.... I hope you've had a wonderful time "back home" in Canada with family and friends.... I have done some builds for CALL OUTS SEASON 2... And have been loving it... But none have raced yet.. I am worried about my build skills not getting them to a high enough level to make the top 5... But... That's half the fun.... Hahaha.
looks great, the black with silver top was a good choice. :) also clear windows. :) siku used ones for a while that would glow with a neon effect... gotta stand out from the crowd? anyway, wheels look fitting, too. so we can say there was a huge improvement. :) enjoy your time off, take care, and safe travel.
Thanks. It wasn't a terrific looking casting to start with, so I suppose anything would have been an improvement on this one. Tinted windows would have worked here too, probably. 🍁✌️
Beautiful looking Limo! Personally, my Grandmother (who passed away in 2018) had that exact same Limo at her house! Thanks for the nostalgia! Good job on the customization of this Limo!
Those antennas always remind me of the scene in ‘Crocodile Dundee’ when the chauffeur throws it like a boomerang 🪃 Nice work as always Andrew. Have a nice holiday!
I think the stiple surface was a form of "cast in" primer. By that I mean a rough surface that thick layers of paint would adhere to in order to stand up to rigorous child play damage. Filing, Sanding, and (Automotive) Glazing putty could be used on the body to achieve a smooth body panel surface, but if left alone on the roof could be used to create a vynil like texture to the roof. Still a first class effort by a first class diecast artist and first class man by all accounts! Have fun giving fun with your toys!
Thanks, Michael. I have to agree. The clear glass is always better and more realistic. This one might have benefited from some smoked windows in the rear... 🍁 👍
Wow! I love the two tone. It turned out really well . This reminds me of the movie Scareface, only that the colour Is different but this is an awesome model and and awesome restomod!! One luv brother!!🇯🇲🇨🇦🇨🇭👊🏿

I just finished 2 beautiful kits (1. MPC 72 Chevy Vega Pro Stock Drag Car "Grumpy's Toy" and 2. 69 Oldsmobile Hurst olds)... Both were an absolute blast to build!!
Really liked this one, especially the color change. That is too much model for one color and was screaming for a color change. I’m surprised there was any original detail left on the original white version, given the amount of paint they used to cover up the actual finish of the casting. Well done and thank you as always. Hope you beat the heat this week, I think it’s supposed to be pretty scorchy in NA this week! Thank You
Thanks, Brian. We landed in Toronto yesterday and the heat is dialled up high right now! But it was worse in Europe with our summer heat wave over there. 🍁👊
Nice custom and great colour choice. They must really have laid the original paint on with a trowel to cover that texture...... Have a wonderful holiday, Andrew. Don’t do anything I would do....! 😈 👍🏻🇨🇦👏🏻🇬🇧👌🏻🇨🇭
Thanks, Jack. Yes, it's a unique surface treatment that this one has. Not sure of why they did that! Have arrived safely and started a nice three weeks in the homeland! 🍁😀
Love it man... Now me,, I would do everything the same except the back windows I would have done them tinted but that's me... You did a Amazingly Awesome job my friend!!!!!!
Thanks, Silver. I suppose I could do that in the future, simply by using tinted plastic in the vacuum forming machine. Not sure where to look for that though... 🍁😀👊
