@@ECooks Methinks that you don't concur w/ his sentiments re: your "Hmm", Mr/Ms E. Cooks...?! May I please enquire why, if this is the case? I was precisely 6 years & 5 months old when Ian Curtis tragically died but New Order has been my outright #1 band since I was only 11 or 12 & thus I 'discovered' & then increasingly fell in love with Joy Division retroactively...but anyway, I love this cover of 'Shadowplay', having first heard it when I watched "Control' at the cinemas back in 2007 - but I'm well aware that a number of diehard JD fans don't like it much & of course, one's taste in music is 100% subjective & all...but I always love to hear/read WHY people do, or don't like certain songs (especially covers of songs originally written &/or performed by bands that they love, performed by bands that they may not love, or even like), that's all...apologies for the verbosity of this 2nd paragraph, my friend but I'm presently taking some VERY strong analgesia, following lower back surgery last week & thus I'm a tad 'hazy', to say the very least!! Anyway, my thanks, in advance, for your time...Matt.
Have loved this song for a long time now. Rarely like covers but this one does justice to Joy Division. Funny....just ran to this today! Excellent live cover!
This is the killers paying a tribute to jd, I'm 74 years young saw hendrix Clapton beck, hendrix was my hero, listen to Otis Taylor, hey joe, enjoy, 😊 love the killers ❤, great band 🎸, but methinks what would i know
I know what you meant I saw a video where they were playing for a lady on radio or video chat I don’t remember but Brandon was doing it without that energy and enthusiasm that he does in public with a crowd I mean .. 😅 About the video is my imagination or the song was already finished and the people continue to sing and Brandon stars again with his keyboard?
@@mariadelangelriveralopez4787 some sort of it. I think that it was due to the audio issues that took place on this concert (if you read comments under original transmision save from festival, you'll see so mucz memes about bass like 'Mr. Bassside' or 'Jenny Was a Bass of Mine' which are actually unharmful, what I cuoldn't say that at the beggining of 'Shadowplay'the audio seems like... the subwoofers were off? Or something like that. I think that the continuation of singing 'Shadowplay' was either a little compensation for technical difficulties for fans of this song or Brandon Flowers just said 'You want more? HERE'S MORE!' And the rest must've follow. Either way, this exact version of Shadowplay. In normal version, I feel confident and happy, even if the lyrics are not, because I like their songs both ways, the sad one and energetic happy ones. BUT THIS? THIS IS MASTERPIECE. It makes me feel like a child again when all songs in radio while driving car with my parents sounded just like this. It feels special and I wish there will be an official version of this posted somewhere on YT or Spotify, or even on one of their albums.
Sorry, I am 75, saw hendrix Clapton all of them, raised in Manchester, hey joe was a hendrix cover, methinks killers are paying tribute to a great band, from another great band, ✌️ 🎸
Fantastic cover. Glad youngsters appreciate this. But he ain't no Hooky! Killers, covering Joy Division ( and Hooky on base) is a generational jump from the 80's.
This was not good. But, I heard and saw JD perform it live so I am not objective about the song, I guess. It's one of those songs no one should ever cover because it is a deep dive into one person's abyss, a place no one should ever go.
As a JD fan from 1979, I approve this message
I am 74 years young saw them all, 💞 brilliant version of a classic, mind you I love the killers, one of the greatest bands ever, 😄 ❤️ 🎸👍

Their's was a decent cover, now it's a bit bloated and OTT.
Shame they don't play it anymore

Great cover - RIP - Ian Curtis !
Love the killers love this JD cover. Good to see JD being exposed in 2022 and still sounds great

Brandon hurts his hand and continues. Epic concert
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I miss Mark!
You don’t wanna know where Mark is!
I think Ian Curtis would be proud
👍, amen to that bro 🎸
God I love this so much, but then again Brandon can’t do anything wrong 😂❤
This is Killers trying their best Joy Division impersonation. :-)
Thanks for the upload! Do you have the whole concert by any chance?

To the Zentrum waiting for you
Imagine ian was there
Amazing version but I would stare in disbelief at the basic fans of this song who would stop short of Warsaw
i feel like context is missing, cause this crowd seems flat and he was trying
What’s wrong with his hand?
Did Flowers break a nail?
What’s up with his finger?
Am Bass: Peter Ludolf 😅
wow, the original iw 20X better. this rendition is like a vanilla milkshake w/o the flavoring.
Whos on guitar & bass???
These have deffo got to be the most American English sounding band ever????
no quieran justificar, Brandon estaba que se lo llevaba la verg4
Que versión tan fea.destruyeron la canción.😢😢😢
Why is the crowd so weird
They’re German😂

es el peor cover que he escuchado :(
The record version is good, kept mean and lean. They draw it out too long now, its a bit an OTT extravaganza by the end, for what is a cover.
Ian Curtis would have rushed on stage and twatted them for that abomination
Don’t think Ian would be happy 😕
This is really bad,. Sorry,
