For me, I just kinda learned that (depending on your particular style) you don't necessarily need to think too hard to draw convincing hands. I draw a circle for the main part of the hand, and bent or straight lines as guides for fingers. If you have a more stylized art style, you can just draw the fingers more rounded and bendy. I have a semi-realistic style, so I need the guide for sharper angled type of fingers. It's not always consistent though, so I still end up spending a good amount of time on the fingers anyway... it's not as frustrating as it used to be though
Same, that glorious moment that i stopped hating hands are when i learnt it’s just a square, two triangles and some french fries. I could even take a picture of my own hands doing some poses (until i found out i’m a mutant that has baby hands that does not grow and short fingers) What i hate most is drawing hands in perspective tho, the thing is that my 2 last braincells can’t simplify the french fries into the directions of arrows i draw and whatever the hell i draw ends up being in the wrong perspective until i retry 🤦♀️
Guys, just draw the beginning hand shape. Then draw two lines to start a finger. The a circle on top of those lines. Repeat for all fingers then do lineart with the guidelined fingers.
My personal hack for not having to draw backgrounds is to just make it really blurry and out of focus so you can just put down some rough colours for where stuff is and basically just gaussian blur the absolute heck out of it
I didn't study anatomy because I would normally be casually sketching on the side of my school book during any science lesson and accidentally figure out how to draw a certain part of the body- I accidentally figured out how to draw hands, legs and torso proportions while sketching random stuff during a boring science lesson

Hands are still kinda hard, but not as much anymore. My real problem is drawing some kinds of poses and angles. Really complex poses and pretty much any angle other than facing the camera and sometimes 3 quarter view are the death of me. I'm trying to improve my art tho :)
I’m not sure if I’m a masochist or something, but I think it’s fun to do challenging things. Like perspective, drawing someone in a running pose, hands, etc.
The thing about the eyes is so true. This is why I almost always look for a way to avoid drawing the second eye, whether it's with bangs, eyepatch, headband, side profiles, anything.
