    I remember watching Rod at DePaul when they were more popular than the Bulls. I loved watching them on WGN with my Dad. R.I.P Ray Meyer and my Pop.

    Rod Strickland is a hall of famer for sure imo.growing up in NYC watching him play at tournaments didn't know how big he was a legitimate 6ft 3.. 6ft 4 and strong

    My father went to Kennedy High-school in the bronx and played against Strickland when he was in Truman Highschool in Co op city also in the Bronx..You always remember who gave you the business. STRICKLAND was that for my pops

    Definitely one of my favorite point guards of all time. When I played NBA live back in the day I would trade for him or somehow get them on my team. Definitely underrated in my opinion

    Salute to the Point God Rod Strickland He is one of the most underrated PGs of all time, Depaul Blue Demon legend gave crazy work to some of the best of em during his NBA Career ( should have made a allstar team a few times but the politics of the game did not permit it). His layup package is top tier. #Dantana773

      @@youngyogin17 I seen a lot of pros up there. I was like 14 going there with two of my sisters boyfriends trying to catch MJ. He had been up there a couple of times. But I saw Isaiah,TC (Terry Cummings), JJ Anderson., my uncle in-law Rickey Green to name a few

      @@j.r.shackelford2144 That’s crazy bro! My OG Darron Brittman and Tree used to tell me a ton of stories about those ballers you mentioned! Rickey Green was a true legend.. I was at Fernwood back in 2002 when he injured his knee.. He still had the love for the game!

    Shout out to the g league, great to see how it continues to grow. 10 years from now it could be viewed as THE developmental option. Will still be a place for the NCAA as fans gravitate towards the team rather than the players anyway

    Not sure if anybody know this but Rod Strickland is Kyrie Irving's godfather i think. Rod is tight with his old man. So he got some of his handles from Rod too.

    Names they all know that are left out- Kenny Patterson, Sam Worthen, Craig Pendergrast, James Barlow, Pab, Dave Edwards, Tiny, Eddie Simmons, Cousy... But Pab is the template. All NYC point guards, all flashy PGs-lol descend from that root. Tricks and moves he was doing in the 60s and 70s, people are doing today.

      I think the context was to rank the guys he played against. But having said that, don't get it twisted. Obviously Steph is a great player but if you put Isiah in this era he would be hell on wheels. If you put Steph in Isiah's era he'd still be great but maybe wouldn't get as many shot attempts. Also, he'd have to adjust to the physicality. Steph is a better pure shooter than Isiah but Isiah was streaky and could go on some blistering shooting streaks. Plus his penetration game was executive level and he was a better on ball defender than Steph.
