I have been a fan of manson since 1995. I started at 14. Its amazing when you watch an artist grow and you can grow with them. Im not into the old stuff as much. Im an adult now and know life is hard. So I get whats going on. He always amazes me. Wish ppl would stop saying this is not like acss, or ma. Thats the fking point. Artists as ppl grow. Life impacts us its apart of growing as ppl. Best album in yrs yes, though high end of low was also amazing as it hit the same time in my life I just got out of a bad 7 yrs relationship. Shit, I even bought this album. And I no longer buy cds. But my favs I will always support aslong as they never sell out. Thank you Manson for going through hell with me and we made it out. alittle fkd up. but we made it.
I feel the same way. When i was 13 ACSS came out and i loved it, then MA and later GOG bought them all. Its been a while since i've paid for any music much less bought an actual CD but i made sure to get "The Pale Emperor"
Right. I hate seeing "fans" bitch about him not sounding the same as this or that album. When has Marilyn Manson ever repeated himself? Every album has had it's own look/sound/feel and I absolutely love it.

I was 12 when I got the first one....now 32 this is his best album in my most unbiased opinion eqaul to his greatest hits if not better!
exactly. Same age we got into manson. And me also now being 32 still a die hard fan. yes hes had ups and downs with albums. but what they put him through after columbine I would loose alot of passion to. I also would of made a album stronger then ACST just to get back and even. even if im dying inside to say FU right back at them. They accused him of so much to come and find out they did not even listen to manson. yet no apology for everything they said about him. I will always be a manson fan, even though i no longer go the path of anti religion. mansons music is just philosophy even if others do not agree.
If i'm asked "What's the definition of artist ?" I'd simply answer: Marilyn Manson.
Seriously, I think he's one of the most artistic artists. Every song he makes is telling such an interesting and true story!

Having listened to every Marilyn Manson album, this song is my personal favorite.
Ever album is a shawdow of him growing and maturing. I have been a fan since, well forever cause I cant remember, and I grow right along and love every song he has made! Manson kicks ass!!! Those who think otherwise need to read his book.

I started listening to him when I turned 13, I'm 22 now and love him even more. My mom absolutely hated that I listened to him but I didn't care either. She thought it was a phase but I still listen to him so it wasn't a phase mom hahaha. Anyway, when I hear this man's voice it just grabs at me and I can't really explain it you know? When people find out that I listen to his music they look at me like I've grown a second head lol. I guess because some people look at me and figure I'm the least expected person to listen to Marilyn. I really want to see him live and id probably stick out like a sore thumb lol but it's on my list so I'm gonna do it anyway :)

I got stuck on an 18 hour flight to Hong Kong back in 2016 and this was the only good song the little media box in the seat. I swear I listened to it on repeat the entire damn flight.

what's great about this track is how wistfully the guitar starts off -- and remains over the course of the song without being overdone. "don't know if I can open up" -- one can really track manson's progression here, which only makes the claim of the song's title that much more significant. he hasn't fallen off, despite the fact that so many other artists and music in general has over the past decade or so. it's refreshing.

I like his statements and music for 21 years now, and I am amazed, how the dayz went by... As I read here, I am not the only one who listened to mm´s music, when times were shitty, and also, when times were fine. when I´m thinking back, I connect my older youthtime mostly with marilyn manosn. I´ve had made it much harder for me to grow up, then it normaly would have been, by handling my problems with drugs. or TRYIED to handel them in a way, that i don´t had to think about them for the short time, when i was high... Some songs, of mm, when i´m listening to them NOWADAYS are giving me a very strange feeling, like tripping back to the feelings I´ve had, when I was 18 or 19...
But it also gives me an unbelivable feeeling of strenth, because i know, that i made it. some of my friend of those days are not alive anymore because of the drugs they took, but I´ve made it out alive. And not only that: I am a healthy, good looking (yeeeeah!!), smart guy, who will marry his girl in summer 2015.
I am really grateful for the music, and the thoughts I´ve thought because of his lyrics.
