    Zombies is a very laid back and fun mode, without a doubt. One of the first impressions I got from the game was, no particular concern of interfering players. It's the simplest way of putting it. In DMZ there was always a concern to be alert for other players and finding yourself in a tough spot with Bots. Getting killed and losing your gear was painful. The risk reward factor in Zombies is far less nerve racking.

    I’m 100% for DMZ on the new map. The biggest thing with zombies is yea it is more laid back. But it’s not wasting 1/2 a game trying to do a mission and fighting off 3 teams of men that are br dropouts. The rng can be annoying but it also makes the game more worth while with the rush.

      I personally think DMZ ran its course and most people want to try something different so I don't think it's a good idea to bring DMZ style PvP into the MWZ map it would be too much to deal with and just think DMZ players should stick to MW2 and leave the rest of us to MW3.

      @@2kool4rockI used to only really play DMZ other than completing the campaign and doing the camo grinding on MP. I think I played one or two days after season 6. People say the PVP makes every game different, but with the constant PVP, it made it a really repetitive mode. Each game was exactly the same thing just in different locations and at different points in the game. When I first started playing it, there was PVP and chill people who would just talk, maybe ask for help with something, then either move on or team up. DMZ stuff was the only COD stuff I watched on RUclips, but even watching good players felt really repetitive. “Solo destroys 6 man” was cool a couple times then just became, “meh, seen one, seen them all, same tactics, nothing new.” I do wonder if the player base dropped as PVP became more prevalent and just made them decide to not bring it back.

      @pavmx703 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@user-987ki34t The playerbase absolutely dropped as PvP became more prevalent. That is facts. But there are a lot of people in comment sections both here and on Reddit that just refuse to believe that this was the case. They love telling people "if you don't like PvP then go play campaign or raids" and then they're surprised when the mode isn't supported as much. Why would the devs use their resources on a mode that's bleeding players? Maybe if they didn't push so many players away from the mode by being scumbags, the playercount would be high enough to warrant better support.

    This is exactly why DMZ is an incredible game mode. they have the social chemistry that isnt recreated in any other game. the tactics, interactions and amount that happens in a game is random and engaging. they just have to sort out what to do when you get killed by another player that makes them want to pick you up. maybe you can choose if you pick a player up either to 'assimilate' them (max 4) into your team or 'ally' them so they can get picked up, carry on but you cant kill each others team anymore? this allows for good pvp action and friendly interactions after, you can still loot them before making them an ally and have bragging rights!. other than that just a truce option for 5 minutes so the other team can back off. the mode itself will be copied by someone else if activision dont progress it and people will go there

    I enjoy DMZ, but my issues are mainly dealing with younger, faster players and also Aim-Assist. I'm a casual player and I'm 56 with my competitive days far behind me. If DMZ could somehow put a little more focus on PVE, while still retaining PVP... I would be all for it and spend more time there then I currently do. Just not sure how that could happen... maybe make the max player count smaller... by at least 25%?
    Aside from any changes like that, I'm in no rush to go back and will continue enjoying the Zombie experience. Zombies is fun because I don't have to worry about people who suck at Warzone and come in to the mode and feel the need to ruin DMZ. The mode was supposed to be PVE+PVP... but Season after Season the PVP has gotten worse and now it's basically Warzone with a little tiny bit of PVE.

EFT is a real man’s game with a lot at stake. DMZ is a silly arcade style. Anyway, being that WZ and other br games is just pvp, dmz you got to deal with pointless missions, cracked out AI and sbmm player base so it can be stressful at times. Dmz isnt a real extraction shooter, it’s more of a sandbox team death match with not much to do.

If you’re low level, no equipment just trying to clear contracts it gets old getting sniped and losing everything after you spent however long trying to find an RKP. I think Hardcore DMZ players hate Zombie mode because most of their easy kills have left and are playing zombies. You don’t have to like zombies. You don’t have to feel like it gives you the same feeling as DMZ. It’s not meant for you. It’s meant for people who want an open map to play and not get teamed on or live in constant sweat mode for 45 mins.

      The reason a lot of DMZ players don't want to do that, is because then they wouldn't get their fodder kills on players just trying to do missions. They don't want a mode where everyone in it is looking for PvP because then that would be too hard for them. They like to hunt for players and then moan when people don't like playing the mode because they're tired of people being obnoxious and toxic. They were even against the option for a PvP toggle. Like why? How would there being a toggle to turn off PvP effect you other than removing those players that don't want PvP? Therein lies the answer, they WANT to kill players that don't want to fight.

      It's because dmz is continued for a new mode that's copy pasted dmz in every way. I think that's the real issue here. Zombies don't need pvp but the way they made it so dmz like and added pretty much nothing of value means it's just a placeholder for dmz

      @pavmx703 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@YungRaze21 Exactly. They're all over Reddit moaning about DMZ being abandoned because of MWZ and it's like, bruh Y'ALL are the reason! Why they expect the devs to keep supporting a mode that they destroyed the playerbase of, is crazy to me. They really think that the amount of people annoyed by the PvP was this small fringe group when it was really a MASSIVE amount of people. Massive enough that when they left the mode, it made the devs go "yeah, this mode isn't really worth the time because enough people don't play it." Hmm, I WONDER why.
      If you keep getting forced into PvP and can never do the missions, why tf wouldn't most people just say "screw this, if I'm going to fight other people every game, I might as well play Warzone"?

  • @johnnyclark1948
    @johnnyclark1948 8 месяцев назад +1

    the hardcore pvp players are the reason DMZ has died " you cannot change my mind", dmz is one of the greatest games out there but when your player base is just casual players looking for something relaxing to enjoy " I'm not against pvp" and venture off into, then you have those players who enter a game with the intention of wiping out the map and ruining others fun and relaxation, are the death of DMZ. want evidence season1 was booming, and when pvp players got bored with warzone portion they just feel in and started wrecking dmz players season by season player count started falling.

    Been the loving the new MWZ mode, but in all honesty , while i still love dmz given that Activision is msking a lot of money from its base, they can easily dedicate a separate team just to work on dmz and continue providing content for it. Even from a purely monetary standpoint, it makes sense as ppl love to spend money on bundles and then can continue to make money ehile supporting both.

    People just sometimes want a chill co-op game mode. No PVP. MW3 Zombies is good. No platoons grouping to go hunt the entire map and not even work on their missions. If you go in solo and need help, people actually go and help you. I once went down and asked for someone to pick me up, 2 separate groups came to help. If I wanted to do PVP, I'll go to Warzone or MP.

    I like both.
    I enjoyed Outbreak in BO:CW because it was a large scale cooperative mode, and also incorporated a "lite" version of the typical round-based zombies style gameplay, each round taking place in a different map. Whilst MWZ doesn't have the round-based advancement system of Outbreak, the different tier zones borrowed from DMZ works pretty well for it, although you can tell that it was made with an older version of DMZ given how much less you can extract and keep compared to DMZ, and also lacking the capacity to store a third weapon in your backpack is mildly annoying.
    When it comes to DMZ, it took too long to get it to the state it was in by the "end" of MWII. That state is what it should have released in, or at least closer to it.
    Aside from that, my only issues with DMZ basically came down to being grouped up with morons who refused to communicate except when they started shouting at you over their mic to come and rez them because they ran off and got killed by either another squad or were ganked by Bots.

If Players Played DMZ as it was designed rather than just spawning in and hunting players starting from the other spawn points - Not even a minute of pursuing the objectives of the game - then it could be tolerable. But they didn’t. They used DMZ to torment others and that’s why it’s gone - and I hope it stays gone. And I hope that all of the Toxic DMZ players are as Miserable as they made others in DMZ. They deserve it. But what sucks is that they Ruined a game that someone worked really hard to provide - and I’ll bet that Not ONE of them cares.

Maybe they can add a "Hostile Zone" region in zombies, that moves to a different location of the map each round, that PvP is encouraged. I got tired of the 6 man, toxic teams that did nothing but hunt. I was great then the PvP that happened "organically" in DMZ (aka 2 teams doing missions running into each other and then engaging in PvP).

I actually like playing alone and I’m able to get more done. Whenever I play with friends in DMZ we all agree on a plan. Until they see other players. Instead of focusing on our plan they attack other players then get mad when they die and because I’m focusing on my mission they have to wait for me. In all honesty I leave them dead and let them get looted deliberately because of their stupidity.
