There’s something so satisfying about watching watercolours being swatched! Some beautiful sets there x

I just love your voice and accent. When you rinse your brush along when you speak is quite soothing and comforting. Think about this. Not many have a calmness when they speak like you do. It seems to me you got your whole life together and you are at peace. I know no one has that really but you pull that off. I enjoy your honesty in demo the colors. I also love homemade watercolors. Usually artist make them and us artist know what we want. We have intuition into each other. Like the old saying goes. I feel ya! Keep up your good work it’s enjoyable!💕♥️

This is a brilliant review, thank you! I’ve got two sets of Gansai Tambi’s which I like, but have been debating buying a different brand, so your video has come at just the right time. What a stunning selection of colours you have.

Where can I buy the chrome color ? It made me drool . It looks like diamonds , fine crystals ,silvery stars up in the heavenly skies and of course chrome . I live in the U.S.A. Can I get it here ? Ohhh I just need to have that color.

I love KJDesignsbyKaren paints; they’re the richest, highest quality I own! The holographic pigments act so differently to the mica powder metallics, but boy are they all kinds of stunning under the light and utterly SATURATED with pigment. A lot of art materials need fixative to stop them moving when dry- certain paints, pastels etc- but I can’t say I’ve ever had a problem with the holographics because I never touch or rub my pages after I’m done adding the sparkly embellishments. I just want to bathe in them 😂

I got my first set from her a few weeks ago because you, Claire, raved about them and justly so. They are highly pigmented and overflowing with mica. I just started exploring wet media in my coloring books and am still learning how to use them.

I love Karen's luscious paints, but they've increased in price over the past year or so for us Americans due to the movement of the GBP to USD exchange rate.
Of course, this is pretty much true of (nearly) all of the UK-based Etsy shops, due to no fault of their own.

Absolutely enjoyed watching your video Debra and seeing all those glittery and shiny paints! By your recommendation, I actually did purchase the Baby Yoda and West End I colourshift paints by Reneeissance Colours. They just arrived a couple of days ago. I cannot wait to try them out :D The look gorgeous in the pans. Saving up to try some paints from Karen now! Thank you for sharing

I think the glittery GD colours are quite good. They’re obviously glittery, not metallic. Nevertheless I would think you could do some pretty cool effects with them.

Thank you for doing this, there are some gorgeous colours but the one that was disappointing was the glitter ones. Where was the pigment, some cheap stickles would give the same effect

Having used Karens holographic paints to gorgeous effect I don’t feel that this video is a fair portrayal of this set of paints. I apologise in advance, but the errors here are the lighting of the tutorial (too dark to showcase the holographic properties properly) and the lack of knowledge by the teacher of how to use them. In the correct light they are a glory to behold. And you have to use them slightly differently to the standard metallics in terms of water content and application. The ‘glitter’ is holographic pigment which handles differently. I would strongly advise you not to be swayed by this demo. I adore my sets and wouldn’t change them for the world.

Hi Clair. I think Wendy may be talking about the GDCOLOR glitter paints not Karen’s. Either way everyone is Entitled to there own opinions, I adore Karen’s normal metallic paints but not so much this ocean set as you could see the “glitter” came off within minutes of it being dry. Yes in some parts the video is a little dark I do apologise but I’m working with what I have, I did try to showcase them from a different camera also shining a light on them. Have a great day 😃

I have worked on the lighting since this video so it’s improved now. Maybe in the future I’ll redo this video
