What a great day, car and like Chris says, we barely got to stretch its legs, no more than 2/3rds throttle all day! It wou,d be great to see Andy, the new owner video it in the dry and using full throttle, as it really is wild at full charge! 😁
Nice to see an Ultima being driven in anger(well nearly!) because on the whole this car is largely ignored by testers,u-tubers etc despite its fabled lap time at the Top Gear track when,on road tyres & speed hump ride height, it soundly kicked the collective butts of everything that TG had tested including non road legal cars.Of course this was a private test session as Top Gear were,nt interested despite several requests. The Ultima is also (in my humble opinion)better looking than all the other so called hypercars out there! Good stuff.
That was our reasoning to get it out on track. There is a serious lack of footage out there on what is frankly one of the most affordable supercars and we saw an opportunity to do something about it! If the track was slightly less slippery it would have been possible to push it further, but we were finding it would still spin up in 4th at over 100mph on the main straight which is less than ideal. We didn't want to modify the bodywork with the barriers!
They are still a fantastic experience even at half what it is capable of and still very rewarding! Plus you are very unlikely to see another on the open road, it usually costs a lot more to get that kind of exclusivity.
just wondering , when it is cornering , does it handle as good as any 911 porsche or 781 porscher.... or they are even better than porsche while cornering , more solid and more confident...cheers
We still managed half a day out on a semi dry track which was still an awesome experience! Since the trackday we have actually sold this particular car, but we have plans for plenty more on track action once the weather warms up!
They're absolutely ballistic aren't they! We have found on the road, even in ideal conditions it likes to turn the rear tyres to smoke given half a chance!
This was owned by the company and not a customer vehicle so no disrespect was made, which is also why we were happy taking it out on track. We are very careful to treat customer vehicles with the utmost care and consideration.

Awesome video. Very well put together and love the honesty with it being too powerful for brands.
Oh, way too powerful in the wet, but yes, it is an incredible bit of kit!
i like the tail lights
What a machine! Would be good to see how it performs compared with a Sagaris or similar!

Very tempted to buy one but could never,at my age, do it justice!

Im near brands hatch in sevenoaks
who builds this car?
Designed and built by Ultima Cars in the UK, you can also get them as self build kits if you fancy a challenge!
It's a waste of time. Not your fault though. Bring it back when the weather is dry.

Basically the spiritual successor to the Lola T70
It's certainly got its similarities, maybe one day we will get a T70 in and compare it!
i had one of these behind me driving home one day, i shit my self

I can't believe he's setting on a customers car, it shows complete disrespect.
