Partial ACL tear means that a part of ACL ligament is intact and a part is torn. The partial tears can include a wide range of ACL injuries, including Single bundle Injuries. ACL has Anteromedial Bundle and Posterolateral Bundles and one of the bundle may be torn .
Partial ACL tears can range in wide variety of symptoms. These Symptoms can be pain as well as instability.

Hello Sir, I've been suffering form knee problem after getting trauma in sports of football and in MRI I've diagnosed with
1. Mild increased PDFS signal of the anterior cruciate ligament with preserved alignment along
the Blumensaats line --s/o strain-follow up is advised .
2. No obvious tear of the ligament is demonstrated.
3. Patchy marrow contusion/edema of lateral femoral condylar epiphyses at sub-articular
location.
4. Minimal joint fluid .
Though just after my traumatic injury I was feeling instability 2 times in my knee while walking downwards from a slope, after that I lost all my quad muscle with moderate knee swelling and my knee just don't feel right to go to the Pitch again, what should I do?

IMPRESSION:
1. Osteoarthritic changes are seen in the knee joint.
2. Moderate knee joint effusion.
3. High grade partial tear of anterior cruciate ligament at the tibial attachment site.
4.Buckling of posterior cruciate ligament.
5. Posterior root tear of medial meniscus with grade II signal changes seen in the medial
meniscus.
6. Mild sprain of medial collateral ligament.
