I like that the menu music is a variation of a segment in the opening cutscene for bf2042

Finally a 2042 track you can actually listen to without your ears bleeding
I was going through an extremely rough time in my life mentally when I got attached to this I would sit in menu as Lis for no joke days in the background. Now I'm through that terrible time I have come back to this with slight PTSD but to create new memories with this composition. And I have "dwnldd" it.
EDIT: I have wireless headphones and when I got this in background I still sometimes feel like I'm actually listening to the game in the menu.

I can relate to that man. I personally had that same moment with BF5's alpha/beta music.
This is the best sound track out of all the new seasons so far. It's more valuable since it was the time battlefield was just getting back on its feet

@@NicknLex Even better, they should rotate the music just like they did with BF1 and BF5. Both games have over 1 hour of music made for the menu alone.

I've only had a chance to play the season 2 for a week or so but already miss this theme. It's kinda haunting.
Love this one. Sounds a lot like Hans Zimmer's Dust from interstellar.

I actually love the menu music, and I hope it continues further as more seasons come. Hopefully next one will be the Stranded end of round music and its round start as well!

I am begging you to do one for Season 3. It's so.....idk how to describe it. Oddly peaceful.

This track is good but generic. I actually miss the old main menu music since it was more unique and actually fit the style of Hildur Guðnadóttir’s previous work. Many people didn’t like the original 2042 music but you can’t deny that it was unique to the setting while this sounds like any generic soundtrack
No one is denying that it wasn't unique, but unique doesn't instantly mean it's better. I really like this one, because it has actual melody in it (simple but emphasized) unlike 80% of 2042's tracks that filled with just distorted sound effects and discord chords. I wanted to like the original soundtrack but it's simply unpleasant to listen to.
@@jrh7178 distorted sounds and chords is just doing it a disservice. I listen to it pretty often (it works surprisingly well as workout and lifting music). Maybe my ears are more trained since I enjoy tons of electronic music but the launch OST does have melodies and pleasant rhythms (looking at Renewal’s music/end of round theme, The Observation of Beautiful Forms, and Orbital to name a few), it does have heavier tracks too but I don’t see how you can hear them as random (Hauled Over the Coals, Olivine, and the Main Theme are good examples) don’t lie to try and prove a point.
Finally, the 2042 soundtrack and its composers were nominated for and won awards from multiple renown organizations. You can call me dumb or wrong for praising the music, but it’s a lot different when an entire panel of music experts praise it

I don't think it's that generic, I think it is still distinctively Hildur's work, though this seems to have more Sam Slater influence
@@giahuynguyenkim6389 I mean, it's basically just ambience, not really even a theme. But each to their liking I guess, for me it's just way too unnoticeable.

Try Interstellar the tune " dust" almost the same chords. When I booted up bf2042 I was like this reminds me of Zimmer. Dust is a masterpiece.
