How To Make A Roll Up Door

- This probably looks complex and expensive to do, but it's as easy as routing the right size groove and mounting some salvaged rollers. The grove needs to match the roller in width and depth and is located near the top of the side panels. Two rollers are fastened to the side edges of the door at the top so that they can turn freely. Two more rollers are mounted inside the cabinet just below the groove and the same thickness as the door away from the front.
I salvaged the rollers from a used set of low cost drawer slides and used regular flat head wood screws as axles and washers as spacers.

But those are going to wear out once you open and close that door like 2.5 million times!
Thank you for using old reused hardware. I can't seem to find too many flipper door plans that don't use new hardware. Just making you buy more stuff. I wish you showed more detail that you did. But I think I have a better idea how to make a flipper door without buying all that extra stuff.
The brilliance is in the simplicity. Thank you for this.
This is one of those ideas that appears so simple I should have thought of it, but I never would have. Thank you!
Looks great John! QUESTION: How did u get it to not fall out when u pull it down/out?
Please how much of gap does the door have between all the sides?
Really milking that cabinet for tips and tricks. Love it.
That music seems to be saying: YOU WILL CONTINUE WATCHING, YOU WILL LIKE THIS. FINAL. COMPLETE. DONE.
Does anyone know where I can get wheels like this? I don't have old drawer slides and I can't find wheels like this to purchase.
Brilliant!!!
WOW... I absolutely love your ideas!
It is an obvious way to do it that I never would have thought of. Great job !!!!!!
Thankyou! I was trying to figure out a cabinet door for a caravan that didn't take up space while accessing the drawers. Thought oh I'll Google that. This came up and sorted out all my problems!! Seriously when you put the effort in that's the music in your head because you don't want to start from scratch!
I love the EPIC music you used. Keep it up John!
Man ,the tips and tricks keep on rolling out that beautifull cabinet. Well done.👌😂
Love the music. Saving the world, one rolling cabinet door at a time.
Thanks for the reminder on this John, I remember watching the cabinet build and thinking that was a useful feature. I have a bunch of roller skate bearings which I'm sure would be about the same size and could be used in the same way.
This might be just what I was looking for. Thanks.
This is absolutely brilliant!! Thank you for sharing 😃❤️😃❤️
