Please amend the title. Gibraltar is the name of the territory where things are regulated well and carefully. The Campo de Gibraltar is the larger spanish area containing several highly polluting plants. The title is very misleading and would appear to comment against Gibraltar - definitely not the place you want to be targetting in order to tackle the larger issues
While bunkering in Gibraltar territorial waters does present a daily threat of spillage and environmental damage, it is controlled and patrolled on a daily basis by anti-pollution vessels from Gibraltar. Whilst the main pollution both aerial and in the sea comes from the refinery on the other side of the frontier in Spain! Although the documentary is fair, the geography is totally wrong, which is a shame as so often is with journalists wanting to make a name for themselves!
It's unfair to call it Gibraltar. Gibraltar is part of the problem, but the biggest threat to people's lungs and health is the petrochemical plant, which is Spanish. The region is called 'Campo de Gibraltar'. If you get the basic geography wrong it detracts from the credibility of the documentary.
France 24 strikes again. The greater problem is from Spain but don´t let the truth get in the way of the opportunity to do Brit bashing ( though Gib. is not British the language is and the culture is) Heaven forbid that you used the title `Southern Spain: an ecological time bomb`. The problems highlighted in the piece are very, very disturbing and should be addressed. It is just a pity you could not use a more relevant title.

Agreed. The heavy industry seems to be concentrated in the Spanish side, AKA Algecerias.
Shouldn't it have been 'campo de gibraltar' title implies its all gibraltars fault.
"7 oil spills in just 3 years for the beaches of Gibraltar".
"Garbage bay".
Fuck swimming in that.
surely the tittle is implying that because of spain's polution to the bay it is a time bomb for gibraltar.
This is NOT Gibraltar. This is the neighbouring area in Spain called CAMPO DE GIBRALTAR. PLEASE AMEND! The mistaken title works against Gibraltar!
can i get this in spanish too?

@Siego87 thanks at least somebody talks about the gibraltarians!
Think would prefer to be british at moment, rather than spanish. Just because it's on TV, don't mean it's true. ;-)
