The rich kids getting expensive presents from Santa thing is how my grandpa figured out Santa wasn't real. He was extremely well-behaved and got nothing while naughty rich kids got presents. He never told his kids Santa was real.

As a Calvinist, I did not get the Joy to the World meme
so most of the world thinks that calvinists dont ever have Joy. Joy To The World was written by Isaac Watts who was a profound Calvinist.
But yeah whoever wrote the meme was very ignorant about Calvinists.

also another way someone might think to create the meme is loosely oppose it to limited atonement but that would prove they misunderstand the history of the song. Joy to the world is about the ascension not Christmas.

Amazon is great for people who live on the other side of the world from most of their family. Buuuut yeah, wish I didn't have to use it so much.
There is actual historical evidence for Jesus being born December 25th. If I remember correctly it was related to John the Baptist but unfortunately I'm not sure, it's been awhile. I just remembered it seeming more substantial than "shepherds wouldn't have there sheep out during the winter." As if no one ever does things out of the norm.
It was based on the belief that prophets were conceived on the same day that they died. Count forward 9 months Christs cruxifixction and that places Christs birth on the 25th of December. It’s an incorrect belief but that was what the catholic German Lutherans based their calculations on.
I don't think think that was it, though I know about that as well. I'm thinking of actual data from historical documents, still held by the Catholic Church since we do hold most Christian archeology but it was more than just a calculation. If I figure out what it is I'll be sure to share it.
