      Hi John, Yeah only little ones but got smashed twice, yep a lot more practice with the skip cast but nailed it 20% of the time maybe ? Just gunna go to the canals or river and practice it throwing at a marker or buoy to get the speed, type of plastic, distance, and rod load up sorted. Thanks .

    Regardless of the choice of outfit, you make it look too easy John! That boys and girls is the result of 1000's of hours of practice over many years. If you want mad skills like that you need to put in the work too 😉

      100% practice is the key mate. And what a good excuse to go fishing ;) I dunno mate... sometimes I just enjoy the casting side of it all and fish are just the bonus.... then there’s those frustrating days chasing Jack and copping donuts when I’m just desperate for one. Hahha

    Hi There,
    Great videos, I am a Kayak Pike angler from England. I have been watching your casting technique and lure choice. I have been able to transform my casting technique and adapt the bass fishing concept to my UK Pike fishing with great success, Thanks for the information. I have recently received x4, 4" Zman Pop Frogz which I ordered after watching your channel, can't wait to go smash some big pike on the surface with them from my Kayak! Can you please help me with what size worm hook you use to rig the frogz.
    Daniel

      Hi Daniel. Thanks for your interest in my videos and so good to hear that you’re getting some value from em even all the way round the other side of the globe!! So cool!! Mate I’d look at a 5/0 or 6/0 for the bigger Pike. Probably 5/0. I can only imagine the craziness of chasing Pike under overhanging cover with em. Awesome stuff.

    Was wondering what line you are using on the reels

    • @mylurebox
      @mylurebox  5 лет назад +2

      I’m running 20lb cast away or bionic braid on the baity and 10lb Siglon sunline on the spinning outfit. ;)

    Another top vid mate.
    I'm obsessed with using a baitcaster. Does it annoy you that everything comes in a split grip design now? I miss the old stubby cork grip rods.

    Might be a dumb question, but how can you skip a lure with a baitcaster? Won't it just overspool everytime? Unless I guess you have heavy mag/centrifugal brakes set?

      I find a baitcaster turns into a bird's nest just sitting in the bag on the way to the boat. Horrible things.
