I want this addiction!!!! I feel like I have a phobia of the grocery store and how cold it is there...Thank goodness for my husband going... I only do it in emergency sitations.
I feel you on living requires you spending! I've had people close to me have drastic lives changes happen and then wonder why they didn't just enjoy their life more. So if I want to spend my money on a fun little outing, at least I will feel happy!
Law and Order SVU is awesome! lol :) I was born and raised in Toronto and it's so interesting to see how much it costs to live there now (Moved out of Toronto in 2010). You should totally be able to enjoy your money as long as you're living within your means but I think it's super important to make sure it's balanced. Coming from a household who lived on the principal of "It's my money so I'm going to spend it because I may not make it to tomorrow" can be so toxic and life ruining!
Fellow torontonian here! It’s expensive and horrible here. My advice is to make sure you are set up for a possible future (RRSPs/retirement) but it can easily budgeted in to a normal income. Also, I got the same template last month. Thanks TikTok!

no i know! it's insane but it seems like everywhere is so expensive now, there is no escaping it 😭 london was worse for me in terms of cost of living vs. salary in my industry at least (marketing/comms)
You motivated me to look at my expenses to see what I can cut out. We have Prime and Netflix plus we have Samsung TV so I'm thinking of cancelling my cable as there's literally nothing on TV to watch anymore. xoxo
I live in Toronto for the past 33 years and there is no such thing as $1 extra for making it iced. I know that barista attitude. They purposely asked you that its a $1 more cuz they were either busy and annoyed from you changing you mind or they just wanted to rob another $1 from you. Iced beverages in general are actually cheaper cuz they know by the time they fill up the cup in ice, it will need less liquid
I really like it so far! (in all honesty i haven’t been budgeting as much this summer) but getting back into it in the fall and will def be diving back in the template :)
I agree with you about spending money / living your life - I used to be soOoooo frugal in my early 20s saving every single bit of money I possibly could (would only spend on minimal groceries, rent, like the absolute necessities) and I look back now and wish I would have just enjoyed life a bit more back then / not been so scared of spending 😅
Don’t fall for it. You over spending or spending just because is the reason they keep prices high. If we act like everything is fine, it will continue to get worse real fast. 😌
