I’ve always loved the idea of travelling by cargo ship, but never expected that I would be taking one as an evacuation measure during a pandemic. I wasn’t allowed to film on most parts of the ship, but I did my best to show you as much of the journey as possible! Anyone out there inspired to jump on a cargo ship after COVID-19? :)

I hope and pray to Allah, that you and families safe too, and hopefully this pandemic would be over soon, the most important now is, how we keep our health, keep strong, spirit, and survived from this pandemic for everyone🙏, love from Indonesia❤️

That was a beautifully done video, full of personality and enthusiasm. It was a joy to watch. I can see why it's been viewed over a million times, and why RUclips recommended it to me today. Well done, Eva.

I love these videos you make. I’m from South Africa but currently working in Qatar. Your series about Saudi and Socatra have made me want to travel there so badly. Once restrictions are lifted, I’m making plans to travel as a solo female traveler to Saudi, and this is thanks to your videos!!
I'm so happy to hear that! You go girl ❤️ Hope the restrictions are lifted in due course and that we can travel safely soon!

As a native Cargo-shippian I would like to thank you for showing the beautiful side of my lovely country Cargo Ship and not just what the Western media shows. We are a simple but honest people.
HEHE your comment is so satire but, i gotta ask do you actually travel the world via cargo ships?
Eva always sees the best in every situation, no matter how horrible it may be. Life is an experience, and people all over the world provide new adventures for her. We are the lucky ones to share her meaningful journeys as well as her unbelievable photography. I consider myself blessed to have found her channel. Thank you, Eva.
Not sure how this was recommended but it was great. It brought me so many memories. My dad was a sailor for 20 years at a cargo company, I got to travel to Japan when I was 6 and to Europe when I was 13 in a cargo ship, it was a great experience. Loved seeing the rooms, looked just like the ones in the cargo ships my dad worked at. Great Job!
Don't know why it took me so long to watch this video. It's been showing up in a recommendations for a very long time. And now I think it might be my favorite of your videos that I've seen.
Hey....I had a similar experience.......having just spent 19 months in Antarctica we sailed all the way to the Falklands then onwards to the UK.....took 5 or so weeks at sea..x
People are not allowed in Antarctica, do you work for the government?
@@GM-hb1gm people are allowed there.....i was working for the government at the time...but there are private companies that operate there awell
I spend decades of my life in sea !!!Yet more to come....
@@GM-hb1gm Thanks for being the authority on this, mate.
@@Matt-zc1qs my pleasure, you gotta make sure someone check those things 😂
What an exiling adventure, I must say. The solitude of a lone traveler at sea certainly induces contemplation. I applaud you for viewing this experience in a positive light.
These videos really make me think hard about the life i live . I'm a romanian that left the country in 2015 , went to london ,uk, to start a new life. I'm a carpenter , and always was keen to learn new things about my trade, and i've learned a lot in this life, out of pure passion for it. But a year and a half ago i decided to come back to my country , and somehow i just don't fit anymore . A year and a half has passed , and everything feels so useless , all i know and learned in this life , feels so empty . Watching these videos make me think of leaving everything behind and just get a backpack on and travel the world .
You can do It bro.
Yes! I mean if you’re not sure, you can always start with a working/holiday visa in australia, canada, south korea or whatever country has a visa like that!
Every time I'm travelling and feel as though I can't wait to get home, I look back at those moments like 'what the heck was I thinking'. Those are the moments and places you always miss the most.
Yemen People are most lovely.
Love and Blessings and healing to Yemen, Ameen.

14 days on a cargo ship during the pandemic sounds like the beginning of a zombie movie!
It’s not that bad 😟. Your room was nice 👍🏻. Good food 🥘 😁.
yes only sounds nothing else
How about your entire life in a locked up country, closed to outside? What does THAT sound? There were and are humans living on this planet living a life of imprisonment their entire life , under circumstances beyond their control and choice , and yet some of them achieve a quality life.
Sounds better than "Snakes On a Plane" though!
There is literally a zombie movie called "Rec Apocalypse" which is set on a cargo ship during a pandemic.
you have become one of my fave video travel bloggers now . your right up there with Bald and Bankrupt .. your vids are awesome !
Holy moly what a fascinating, scary and life changing journey that was, these are the stories BBC should be reporting on instead of toilet paper fights, this is eye opening and fascinating!!

Your enthusiasm is infectious! that personality. that voice. i sense only happiness is your language. i'm certain youre a pleasure to travel with. those eyes and that glow....yup. :-) its been 8 years since ive been able to do a proper journey, bring on retirement! id have a blast bouncing around the world with you! keep doing what youre doing, it wont last forever but the moments that live with you will!!
How does this woman not have her own TV show or something?? Your adventures and stories are absolutely unreal and I can't believe you have experienced this in one lifetime (not even a full one yet!). I am a new subscriber as I just found you on youtube and I am so thrilled that I did. I have been watching all of your videos for the last 2 hours! The life you are living is what I dream of; you are not just doing the typical travels, but you are living life off the beaten track and going where life takes you, no matter where that is. Never stop doing what you are doing! You are truly inspiring with what you make, create and how you see the world!!
That ship was performing what is commonly known as "slow steaming." This ship is capable of much greater speeds but chooses to slow down in order to save fuel.
Dear Jas: I did some "slow steaming" myself when my wife lost our checkbook.
Does that count too ??? ... jkulik919@gmail.com
Yeah, why hurry up and wait!
The Queen Mary 2 takes a week .
They also slow down to not arrive early and not have to pay anchorage fees before their berth is ready.
She probably had no clue how many knots they were doing. Probably doesn't even know when and where the ship was made or the name. Doesn't care.
Now been on a cargo ship for 7 months non stop without shore leave and no end in sight for me keep strong out there 🙌🏻

I can totally relate. I myself spent 3 months on an passenger empty cruise ship. It was only us crew waiting to be repatriated. We were in Port Canaveral, Port of Miami, Cococay.... and finally, Barbados port. Could not go out, we were only getting supplied with food and then just see the land from far in the boat ;( at least we were safe and had food :)
3 long months till finally middle of June, it was my turn to finally go home.
Crazy and long process to get back. once in my country, got tested (negative), still went thru quarantine and just now July 2nd I'm allowed to leave my quarantine. Thanks bento God. Finally home and praying things get better soon, so we can get back to normal. ;)
I’m still in my the cruise ship stuck 😭😂
5 years on ammo ships all over the world and Gulf war. Diego Garcia Indian Ocean, Guam Saipan and western Pacific, Atlantic and Caribbean, typhoons and storms you see movies about. Cruise ships? I been on those..

Your life is literally an adventure. Ive barely left England

Dear 40grams: Life is an adventure anywhere you are if you care to look around.
A Buddhist monk once told me that there are a 1000 worlds within one blossom if you care to look closely enough. An old Roman saying goes that "Hunger is the best seasoning". When you get hungry enough for new experiences, you'll see them everywhere. There are NO Boring Places, Just Bored People. Now you don't want to be a person like THAT in Merrie Olde England, do you ? Stop waiting for others to create adventures for you. Create your own adventures in Merrie Olde England, like knights of old did for King Arthur so many centuries ago. ... jkulik919@gmail.com

No more ship trips for Me!

"some days indifference, some days despair" Best way to describe this pandemic situation we've been facing lately
Pedro Felix - Agree brother.
The algorithm suggested this video and a very unique one for an avid travel vlogger. It really shows her real personality as the "cabin fever" had taken hold and she was doing her best to put a positive spin on the whole situation. It did feel a tiny bit forced, attempting to interject some manner of excitement and wonder into an otherwise desperate and exhaustive push to just get off that island. It was pretty obvious that this traveler was so ready to just get out of there. She all but said how happy she was to finally leave, no matter how it was done. The islanders were nice, but that really was all they could do. It also sounds like they got out when the getting was good.
Great Story! I know I'm a bit late to the party, but after stumbling upon your video it reminded me of how I had to leave Argentina after a 3 months of travel and a lot more to come to return to europe. Finishing a journey is never a great feeling, especially if you can't do anything against it, but with corona i guess it's better to be safe
I spent years on merchant ships. Never knew that people thought it was so glamorous and adventurous. Guess I should have left the engine room more often.

Hi! as a man working at sea, just like the ones who were sailing that huge cargo vessel, i have a question?! You said you talked with the captain, did he talk to you about their working situation during this pandemic?
I believe that you could have mentioned something about them at least once. They really deserve it!

What an unreal story. These are the wild adventures that make life worth living!
As someone who’s experienced rough seas on a ship and lived with multiple Cyclones every year for 14 years you should consider yourself really really lucky you didn’t actually encounter one.
According to a story, she would have really really shitted her pants, I suppose
6:48 lol that ships is pretty regular size! Really nice to see how a passenger experienced a cargo ship!
Big difference living and working on one for months on end. Sooner or later steak and lobster every Friday on Diego Garcia on board my ship wasn't enough from keeping me from going on island. It can honestly feel like prison after a while no matter how nice it is. You get institutionalized and you have to do things to keep your mind out of being confined. Gym, watch movies, play basketball, play Nintendo, build things. Have to have a regimeted schedule. Make your bed, clean your bathroom, have discipline. People can flip out there. You may not think it will happen to you but if you don't deal with it and cope, it can be brutal.
I remember watching this 2 years ago. Still one of my favorite videos. 😊

I work on ships as an officer. I joined my current ship on 01st November 2019 & still onboard the Ship. Just completed 10 months yesterday. Imagine my plight. Also you should show the officers & crew of the ship as well as the Mess room & Navigation bridge & Engine room. Seems your vlogs are only about you and your experience and not about your surroundings & people which makes it quite soulless for me to watch since I work on ships myself.
True. Theres so much thing to do on a 14 day nabigation and yet all of her vlogs just focuses on being bored the whole time haha
