I like to use a summon the first few times I try a boss, just to get a sense of their moveset without all the aggro being on me all the time. Messmer has this thing where he can switch aggro really, really unpredictably, in the middle of attack chains, and snipe you from across the room. Arguably, fighting him with a summon can be more difficult than going in solo for some people, just because he gets that much more unpredictable. Also, everyone has one or two bosses that everyone says is hard but you find really easy. For me it’s Romina, I’ve already done multiple dlc playthroughs and I haven’t died to her once.

Compare that with commander gayus whose moveset isnt as complicated but just does not flow or give you many openings. The moves come out in the blink of an eye and his charge is nearly undodgable. Mesmer 10/10 boss but pretty easy especially with an unga bunga charge R2 build

Bro you gotta teach your discord members to make better builds. Also 200 is a pretty good level that gives you tons of freedom for most builds. You can reach the soft cap for vig and like more two stats with plenty of extra points for mind, endurance, strength, etc. Also sword insignia actually pairs decently with light greatswords if you play a bit more aggressively but prob not as effective if your build also focuses on using a shield and casting incants.
Very off topic for the vid, but I feel like in basically every souls game there are a few bosses where I’ll see a ton of people complaining and it won’t be that hard, but then there will be a boss that people have an easy time on and I’m sitting there for like 40 attempts.
It’s honestly between Commander Gaius or the Lamenter who makes copies of himself. Messmer would have been close but his second phase is actually easier for me.
Messmer has a hard move set but his move set is very easy to learn His opening/punish windows are clear ,his health isn’t too high and most of his attack deal fair damage
I get that, everyone has different opinions on hardest bosses. I think Messmer is among the hardest, but like all bosses once you understand them they don't become that hard.
I’m pretty sure that rellana was tougher for me than even radahn, radahn is tough but manageable and I managed to dodge most of his attacks pretty consistently (outside of the 2 quick swipes into the X which is as far as I’m concerned is undodgeble with mid roll) (pure dex build for the record)
it starts to become very difficult to call something a "build" when you have 50 in every stat. at that point it's just using whatever gear you feel like
It was the damn flower for me. Idk why it gave me such trouble! I used mimic mind you, don’t think I’m good for what I’m about to say. Rellana took me 4 attempts. The dancer was one attempt. Giaus took two, Mesmer took three (technically 2 bc when I got there I died instantly and didn’y come back until I was properly leveled) the centerpied lady I got on my first try, same for the finger. The putrecent knight took me 5 attempts. But that flower? That god damn flower. The scadu avatar took me 18 attempts. The build was using an occult affinity M’Lady bc I also used dragon seal with frost and rot breath (and mimic of course) That flower was a bastard. A god damn bastard. Edit. Bayle had me respec my build twice (skill issue tbh but yeah) so he was the hardest for me. Went with Messmer's spear ftw against him
Bro you gotta teach your discord members to make better builds.
Tbh maybe it’s because of my more offensive playstyle but Bayle was the hardest for me. Even harder than radahn (not too much harder though.)
Haven‘t fought all of them yet but until now it definetly was Messmer
It’s honestly between Commander Gaius or the Lamenter who makes copies of himself. Messmer would have been close but his second phase is actually easier for me.
4:40 yeah, bayle was easy for me. first boss i beat. i think rellana is the hardest
The boss that clicks for me at least base game is Malenia. As for Shadow of the Erdtree, I'd have to say Relanna or Messmer
Messmer has a hard move set but his move set is very easy to learn
His opening/punish windows are clear ,his health isn’t too high and most of his attack deal fair damage
I get that, everyone has different opinions on hardest bosses. I think Messmer is among the hardest, but like all bosses once you understand them they don't become that hard.
i've been using a +25 Bloody Milady with the Stormcaller Ash of War, it does really good damage. i recommend trying it
Sunflower erdtree. They knew what they were doing creating it.
Messmer was definetly one of the top 5 hardest for me. He took me ~15 tries. I beat Romina on the first.
For me it was Rallanna, or the pubescent knight, but with a random summon I actually beat radanh in two tries!
Loving the content, but my Bro counter broke watching this one 😂
it starts to become very difficult to call something a "build" when you have 50 in every stat. at that point it's just using whatever gear you feel like
Rellana was the only main boss in the DLC I beat without any summons so far. Messmer on the other hand I needed a 3 on 1 situation for 🤣
Over 200 is prolly a good idea, cuz lvl 200 has become wayyy more popular due to the dlc.
Maliketh clickes for me and so does the Nameless King from ds3 for some reason
Honestly the hardest boss for me was the dancing Lion especially the one in Rhau
Edit. Rahdan took me 2 days but like. Of course he did
That boss for me is melania. I can’t beat base game redahn without being massively over levelled, but for some reason, melania always clicked for me.
The hardest boss for me was probably messmer because most my damage is fire and he resists that, so i had to use a sacred black steel greathammer with lions claw
messmer is decently hard but his moveset is pretty easy to understand
