The current top 10 would not stand a change against peak vika or peak Serena
Serena at her very best!! 2013 season was something else!! Fit, fast, strong, perfect strokes, serve, precision. She was unbeatable!
I'm sad that i fell in love with tennis in the year Serena retired. I missed the prime years!!!
It was so beautiful to witness in real time.
Some of us were Lucky enough to witness her greatness, she was amazing to watch in her prime
@@chrisarmelseyibayebek4977 I was always of her and her Venus but I didn’t care for tennis then to actually watch. Now I’m just hooked!
I feel bad for you, because I feel bad that I didn’t become a real fan until around 2016. And she had already reign as the Queen for a long time!! My loved ones were sick, so my attention was elsewhere! When she returned from her pregnancy, she was 95% of her old self, but it took so much out of her almost dying, but prior to her pregnancy, she was basically unbeatable!
This was a very high quality match
Only the GOAT Serena Williams could have defeated Azarenka in this match.
The GOAT of what?
@@akizaizinskii The greatest women's tennis player of all time.
@@dariusbrock2351 How so?
Most Slams - Court
Calendar Slam - Court, Graf
Weeks at #1 - Graf
YE#1 - Graf
Most titles - Navratilova
Highest win % - Evert
Most dominant - Graf + Navratilova
Most consistent - Graf + Evert
Highest peak - Graf
Clearly, if we’re going by achievements like we are in the ATP where Djokovic is considered the undisputed GOAT, then Graf is the female GOAT by the same metric.
How many times am I gonna watch this😂. I just love watching Serena’s matches! She’s the GOAT, and I miss her so much!!
@@akizaizinskii You know of what 😂. It's pretty widely agreed upon in the world of sport, outside of youtube comment sections. She's even the most common answer for greatest female athlete in all sports. And don't even try to bring up Court's 24, half of which were literally non-professional titles, or graf who needed her biggest rival to be vioIently atłacked. Because the wider general public does not care lol. They do not transcend tennis as much as serena williams does.
Personally my favourite WTA rivalry. Even if Serena won most of the time I'm not sure there's a player save for Venus/Sharapova who brought the best out of her to the extent that Vika did.
What about Justine Henin??
Totally agree if you see her previous year final also same unmatched fight between them, Vika is always great competitor love to watch them both
I just wish that Vika would win the US Open before she retires. She's had fantastic battles with Serena in 2012, 2013 and Naomi in 2020. She deserves to win this slam and I would be happiest seeing her win this!
Congrats Serena Williams 🎉
Cilic vs Isner 2019 full match please 😢
What a final!
I wanna be a professional tennis player like her
Might sound weird but the 2nd set one of the reasons Serena never managed to win her 24 grand slam and more. She should have won this match in straight sets and she almost let the 2015 French open final slipped away too against Safarova she was crusing the entire match only to start choking and it went to 3 sets.
You're right. All during her career she was able to come back from it. But not post giving birth. She does get nervous a lot.
