Cannot believe my eyes lived to witness undoubtedly the most skilled and raw talented, athletic, dominant cultural forces in the sport of tennis EVER! These two ladies have done what NO OTHER TENNIS PLAYERS HAVE OR WILL EVER DO to the game of tennis...EVER! This is a hill i will die on.♥
I thought these Queens were lethal as singles players but they're deadly in doubles. The serving and especially the return of serve is deadly AF. The returns are faster than the serves. And they played angles better than anyone. Like WUT?🤯🔥🖤🙌🏿
These two at their best are the best grass court players in history. It's unfortunate their peak overlapped in the 2000s. Both could have easily won 8 or 9 Wimbledon titles.
@@regulusarcturusThe OP is talking about singles, you’re including doubles. Court only won 3 Wimbledon singles titles, only 1 of which was during the open era. She’s well below both Venus and Serena on grass. Navratilova won 9 singles, not 11.
@@JessieDubois8 Court won 11 AOs, 3 Wimbledons and 5 US Opens. That’s 19 Slams. The AO and USO used to be played on grass. There were no hard court Slams until the 80s.
@regulusarcturus Can you imagine how many grass court slams the Williams sisters would have won if 3 out of 4 slams were also played in the 2000s? That's why it's difficult to compare players from different eras based on number of titles. The level of competition in Margaret Court era was nowhere near the level in the 2000s. The Australia open which Margaret Court won 11 times was almost an Australia national championship. Most top players didn't participate.
@ Oh man, if they were on grass while the sisters were playing, they’d both have won a lot more. Also, the Australian Open was skipped by a lot of top players during Court’s era. Her wins should have an asterisk there.
I love Venus’ volley, so textbook and her height and athleticism you couldn’t really lob her even her backhand overhead volley is solid. Serena’s volley unorthodox but her reactions are insane. She could use her strength to get away with not being in right position
@@bklynfinesse8709 Also would be a bit unfair to the team that lost their seed if they seeded V&S. Changing seeds always works out poorly for somebody.
@mrrogers302 Wow! That seems cheating the seeded players out of having a chance to win. Lol its Almost scamming the lower players when they don't have a chance to win.
A year from now it’ll be a decade since this feat happened. What a surprise this gem is almost 10 years ago, this feels just like yesterday.

They were one, two punching these matches!!! No one will have their records as a doubles team in this generation. 🎾🎾🎾

"Venus at the net".
The most gifted grass players of their generation. When they won the doubles title, one of them also won in singles.
Jeez the commentator in the 2nd rd match couldn't shut up about The WS going right at their opp when everybody does it in dbles.
venus at the next is a nightmare!!! She is deadly at the net!
The WILLIAMS Sisters played some powerful tennis matches!!! 🎾🎾🎾

The round two match, who had when the commented said. GOOD BYE, YOU BETTER PROTECT YOURSELF. 🫶🫶🫶 WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH WILLIAMS SISTERS 👯♀️
If Venus didn’t play doubles, she most likely would have won the final! 😢
It’s ok Serena won it lol
Serena's serve & baseline game and Venus waiting to pounce at the net with that unparalleled reach? there's no better combination in tennis.
It’s so wild…imagine Serena Williams at the net only to have Venus at the baseline 🤯
Hello serena love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu 🥰❤🎉
How can they Not be seeded?😮
They both didn’t play in a long time.
They didn’t care about rankings lol they knew both knew if they were fit, focused, and ready nobody was getting in there way perioddddd lol
@nathangraham1760 I understand that. But it's not fair to the others.
