Gotta love how most of their songs dont even have definite meanings to anyone but them since they were clearly not on this planet when they came up with them
Of all the very sinister lyrics in this song,"Dreams don't always come, when you fall asleep" is probably my favorite. You just gotta love Ween, who else could make such a sweet sounding song about being a sociopath?
I love the lyrics "im gonna do somthing wrong, nobody's gonna like it. But ive got my pride and my time isnt free." Idk what it is about thst lyric but i always found it relatable
Great songs have double or triple meanings that can be ascribed to them , sometimes there is a reveal at the end that makes the meaning you weren't expecting become the most applicable and it hits home powerfully. This song sounds like a love or breakup song that pulls you in with romantic notions- but you begin to suspect that you've been set up as you hear some off-key hints- then by the time he sings "They found your sweater" makes it pretty unmistakeable, and the effect is spine-tingling and bone chilling. "Dreams don't always come, when you fall asleep" ... the killer likens death to a sort of sleep, but without dreams.
Ween is so incredible, so Brown. I get myself stuck on a song for a couple of days and I dissect the music, the lyrics . I share this with my friends with hesitation because of the way it can make people feel uncomfortable as many of their songs do. . I try not to make too much of some of their lyrics. I love the guitar at around 145
To me this song is about getting really close to someone and building that person up in your head. Then you realize they don't deserve the tower you put him/her in...
I believe that is deeply insightful, and I was just thinking about what the song meant to me, and why it speaks so much truth, in such a weird way. Its pretty incredible art, and I salute you Sir for your articulate comments and good taste
yeah, a dirty, lonely, tattered image of a girl's sweater would've been great in the 2nd last scene, but a rotting, bloated corpse works great, too. I friggin' love this video.
Btw, in the intervening 3 years I've met 2 certifiable psychopaths that think this way, and one of them fed a man to a bunch of wild pigs while he was still alive. They are out there.
Yeah, not everybody gets this song right away. However, I think your video captures it. It's always fun to see someone's face when they finally figure it out. Hella killer video, man.
I have a couple ween tattoos. The Mollusk Album cover art and the boognish. Get teased and questioned. But whatever. If they don’t get it; they don’t deserve to.
This shit freaks me out. In both good and bad ways. These guys are so good and interesting on so many levels. Music is solid. Lyrics are up on the moon with Newt Gingrich and his 20th ex wife. I pretty much stole that last line BTW. Oh, and I once read a review comparing Ween with Lennon/McCartney as songwriters. Another step out for sure.
and why wouldn't a serial killer have a sardonic sense of humor? honest too .......I'm gonna do somethin wrong, nobody's gonna like it. Their genius(weenius) will never cease to amaze me!! Excellent video as well, thank you for posting!
The Boognish visited me in a dream and when I awoke this video was playing on this phone I'm typing this comment with. Its dark. I can hear a dog barking. I think I'm at the bottom of a well
Im gonna do something wrong. Nobodies gonna like it... But, I've got my pride, and, my time isnt free. You're just an object to me. I wish i coulda' warned them all.
1st time I've heard this. I generally love Ween (like really a great big whole bunch), but I will probably never listen to this again - not that it's badly done (and the video is very approptiate and well done), but this is just way too dark for me (and I like Happy Colored Marbles).
Yeah I thought about that after I posted. How I could see someone thinking mickey wrote it. I only knew b/c I read an interview. Mickey definitely does write the darker more twisted lyrics, for sure.
It is really about killing a lover. But Gener's not advocating murder. Nowadays you can't depict something without people seeing it as an endorsement. What happened to art? He's not saying murder is good, people I think the tender way he sings about murder is supposed to show the thin lines between love, obsession, and insanity. That's what's so sinister about it.
I fancied Gener got 700 hours of community service for breaking up Ween, having to take walks in various cities singing: "I'm gonna do something good and everybody's gonna like it."
Deaner mentioned on his facebook how this was one of his favorite fan vids.
I wonder if he's seen the kids doing Where'd the Cheese go.
can't get sick of this song one of my favorites
Me either. I play it daily
I can't believe they played it live in Vegas.
I’ll never get sick of this song.
Gotta love how most of their songs dont even have definite meanings to anyone but them since they were clearly not on this planet when they came up with them
I disagree. I think their songs have incredibly definite meanings. This is about as clear a song about a serial killer since the Talking Heads.
this song is killer.
Bit it's NOT about serial killers
@@southrules All meat, no cereal!
"I feel better, they found your sweater, you're just an object to me." Sick!

I don't think it's about being a sociopath.
southrules i'll bite, what do you think its about?
panzercat39 A chick that he only sees from afar or...maybe a serial killer, lol
you might want to look up the definition of sociopath.
I did, I am one, and i'm not a killer, Go figure that your google definition - which by the way is wrong, is incorrect. moron.
This is one of their greatest songs ever. It's so good, it's sick.
I love the lyrics "im gonna do somthing wrong, nobody's gonna like it. But ive got my pride and my time isnt free." Idk what it is about thst lyric but i always found it relatable
They found your sweater
My favorite line
I wonder if it was Janice's??
LMFAO the intro is hilarious for some reason, when the song jumps off and that guy is just standing tehre

Couldn't agree more. All hail the Boognish.

This is probably one of thier greatest songs. And i was there when Pure Guava was brand new too. haha.
I think Pure Guava was my second Ween album. I got God Ween Satan first I believe.
I fucking love this. Finishing with that scene from Halloween was just beautiful.
I " pasted" this video across my facebook! thanks for the video
To me this song is about getting really close to someone and building that person up in your head. Then you realize they don't deserve the tower you put him/her in...
+HisDukeNess to me, it's more about a serial killer and his rationalisations and reasons
+Nicholas Lomas No shit.
I believe that is deeply insightful, and I was just thinking about what the song meant to me, and why it speaks so much truth, in such a weird way. Its pretty incredible art, and I salute you Sir for your articulate comments and good taste
I think that works, until you hit that line about how" they found your sweater..."
Tom Rasinski I Totally agree! we all interpit things differently, I kinda am a serial killer buff and this song relates to that very much.
The guitar tone on this track is sick. After he says "I got my pride" tone is so tasty! Ahhhh!
Hey Pumpkineck Bort... How's the last *8 years* been brother? Just wanted to say thank you for pointing out the tone. It made me appreciate it more.
@@Tarodev Pretty sure it's a Logitech digital effect.

This so good, the song and the images, give me chills.
The tone and phrasing of the guitar when the lyrics say I've got my pride. Perfect.
One small slice of Ween's Greatness!
Nobody's gonna like it, but I got my pride and my time isn't free.
Seems legit ;)
It's kind of scary when you realize how warped people's reasoning can get.
Btw, in the intervening 3 years I've met 2 certifiable psychopaths that think this way, and one of them fed a man to a bunch of wild pigs while he was still alive. They are out there.
13 years ago I wrote the last comment. I still can put this song and I get motivated to do whatever I need to do. it puts me in a work trance....
i feel like this song hits me even harder after all these years
By far one of thier best! Brown.
I love this song! Great video! I got all my friends liking this song when the CD came out.
Thanks for giving us visuals!
most soothing song ive ever heard

The Buenas Tardes video must happen. Goin' to see Ween this Sunday in Kansas City. Great job.
Great job on the video!
And Ween has certainly come a long way since their Push The Lil' Daisies days.
Excellent vid from one of my fave songs by Ween! Well done!
Absolutely awesome!

Mega Thingz Tell me about that sexy scorpion.
+Mega Thingz i'd still play it off legit
Oh my god. I haven't thought about that album in forever. Best band for a lost boy from a lost generation. ; )
Oh... if only my friends understood Ween like I do. I laugh so hard...
go see Ween live before they get too old and you can't. You'll be standing in a very large room filled with people who get it.
Just the best visuals ever. So many great creepy scenes. Very suitable.
Was like..feeling in a dark place. Listening to some Ween cheers me up. But, uh..that was opposite. I'm a monster. I should call my mom more.
Yeah, not everybody gets this song right away. However, I think your video captures it. It's always fun to see someone's face when they finally figure it out. Hella killer video, man.
Nice montage. I was going to animate something along similar lines. Guess I don't need to now.
sweet edit for a great song!
Ween is so great. poignant, funny and meaningful.
i love ween. i got a shirt from there concert, and everyone made fun of me... idk why...
I have a couple ween tattoos. The Mollusk Album cover art and the boognish. Get teased and questioned. But whatever. If they don’t get it; they don’t deserve to.
Im a simple girl
I see Anthony Hopkins in the thumbnail
*I click*
Rawr xD click
lol ... the video for this song makes the words just that much more creepy... I dig the darkness of the song to such pretty music!
Silence of the Lambs, Manhunter, Shadow of a Doubt, and I assume Halloween. Could somebody list the other movies in this vid?
Cool video, by the way.
Hostel (2005)
Great tribute to this song. I really like your take on the lyrics and the shot of Hannibal is perfectly timed.
woot thanks! for some reason, I didn't recognize the three faces of eve
WEEN, nuff said!
best song ever!
Fuck I love this song, but damn if it doesnt give me chills everytime I hear it...the video just accentuates the mood of the lyrics...perfectly..
IT PUTS THE LOTION IN THE BASKET! This is a pretty good job you did with this video Wayne's youngin', your dad would be proud.

Love this Vid and the song is so touching
Sweet video
@1967GlasgowCeltic Yeah, this song is as if a serial murderer were singing. Not about spousal abuse.
now that is what I call a fan
thanks for uploading. fantastic!!

Actually aaron wrote it. He said it was inspired by his Law and Order obsession(not sure whether he was serious).
And the truth will set me free!
I had a dream last night. IT was a nightmare. And this song started playing in my dream and it freaked me the fuck out
Nice vid, well done.
Spinal Meningitis is an awesome song
you should send this to deaner, i bet he would like this.
I am morbid; dark sense of humor 5 stars.

What is the first movie shown?
Can someone tell me what movies the newer ones are?

that's what this song is
