@@HawkHogan_ I just really like the pop of the traps and mid-back, combined with that really nice fulness and roundness in the arms and lats. His legs from behind were actually pretty decent in 2019, so it's enough for me to make it a close call. It's no contest in the BDB tho

Same, knew the second he came out that he was taking it, his presence was almost otherworldly and the packadge he brought made jaws drop. Yes, he was getting beaten muscle for muscle by Phil, no doubt about that, but he was so incredibly well put together and so aesthetic that night that I recon the judges more or less threw out the scoresheets as I would have. x)
I'd go as far as saying Rhoden's legs are 'beautiful'; for lack of a better body building description. Shape, flow, proportion. I'd live at the gym and beach if I had legs like that!
That's all i kept thinking about. He doesn't have the biggest legs. He doesnt have the most insane separation or vascularity. His conditioning is definitely on point. His legs seem to be absolutely perfect for his frame. They are incredibly well proportioned and flow so perfectly.
There hasn’t been a convincing Mr Olympia since Phil, period. I would say Derrick if he didn’t have gigantic abscesses in his best muscle group, so I guess I’ll go with Hadi.😊

I felt you were placing Derek last so often, I was the surprised you had him 4th over Hadi. I really feel none of these champs brings a complete package, I hope 2024 is the year we finally get to have a very complete and balanced Mr. Olympia.
Really enjoyed this video. Personally for me, Rhoden and Curry are the best, Hadi is a distant third and I wouldn't even want to look like Ramy or Derek (not that I ever could. lol). I know it's very subjective, but I think Derek is the least impressive Olympia Winner, maybe ever. I think Hadi beat him. Just my opinion
I gotta hand it to Marx, I agree with his judging in the end for all places. Huge fan of Curry, but Rhoden 2018 was just too peeled and balanced with an outstanding lower body. Glutes, hammies, quads, calves - he had it all in both size and shape, just look at that outer sweep and teardrop.
Hmm, almost 7 years since Phil won his last Olympia, though he competed 2 more times. In the 7 years after Lee Haney won his lat Olympia only 1 man had won an Olympia; Dorian. In the 7 years after Dorian’s last win (he never lost anything), Ronnie had won his 7th Olympia. In the 7 years post Ronnie’s last win (he competed 2 more times after his last win) Jay, Dexter and Phil had all won Olympia’s. Now post Phil there’s already been 5 winners. When will the next ‘unbeatable’ Mr. Olympia arrive? Is it even possible any more?
Shawn wins all day. (I'm so biased because he's my favorite Mr O winner in the last 25 years)...but Shawn was done so dirty by the IFBB by being found guilty until proven innocent. Just a shame
hadi blows these other guys out of the water IMO. no one owes us the fans anything, and i know if he could he would have, if curry could just have built his legs and calves he would have been unstoppable. i also have a hard time getting behind an olympian champ who is missing entire bodyparts, shawns really weak arms, brandons missing legs, ramys missing back, and for derek the inclusion of obvious oil and how soggy he is.
