People can say what they want about Rich, but this man was very passionate about drag racing and did a lot for the sport. Gave us middle class racers who can't afford to compete in stuff like NPK a chance to make a name for ourselves. Really wish they would bring this back
I agree. Now we are lower class with this great economy. All the races are for high dollar people now unfortunately.
He hit me wrong when he came to Darlington he talked down about the track it was pose to been all out and he said the facility was not good enough when its always been one of the fastest tracks in the southeast and his attitude is crap
i wish pinks would make a comeback with todays cars this show will be awesome to watch
as much as id love it. the sandbagging was too garbage, even in all out it was there. if they brought a run what you brung id be down to check it out.
@@Richie_RHD what happens in run what you brung, people don't race if there's .3 off, that's why they have index or dial ins. They could run no prep heads up arm drop, but then you'd have $200k cars you'd root all the local 8sec or slower cars out. Race tracks are doing good because of index and break out classes. Drop them tracks will close. 5 and 6 sec 1/8th and index cars are big around here.

Well I just came across this Channel today it is pretty dope for sure I used to watch Pinks All the Time on Speed Channel it is pretty cool though to be able to watch it on RUclips now for sure but honestly we definitely need another kind of like speed again?

this All Out, reminds me of the 60s & 70s match races. my fav match driver Jim 'jungle' Liberman would have been the king of this All Out for sure, this is Jungles kind of racing. turn n burn i luv it. Jungle Jim was an independent match racer, and never qualified for NHRA - he hated NHRA rules.
He won an NHRA national event at Englishtown in 1975…

What happened to SPEED channel? Did the rights to the recordings get bought by another network? I loved SPEED always had something cool to watch, thankfully there’s MAVtv nowadays…
Brings me back to when they would put spacers to keep the throttle plate from fully opening on dyno day. Drop a spacer each pass 80-100% over 5 races
I hate arm drop starts, but the guys were "jumping" because the flagger was dropping his arms after staging both cars, hence the name, "arm drop start." That guy has no business flagging a real race.

I'd assume thats why you weren't part of this. Lol. Most of them got it right. A few got antsy, but it happens. He flagged the same way consistently (staged up, then started the arm drop). It's clear that some of you guys haven't really been to street drags, or you'd know. It's either arm drop or a light, and it ain't gonna matter. There's always someone on the edge of jumping. "That guy" cares about these weekend racers and gives em a chance at 10k, something they may never get without a buy-in or a run-bet, which are always win/loss. In this event, they just had to be there and qualify. To say he has no business in a real race, with the name benchmark automotive. 😬🤣 Benchmark is the standard or point of a thing being "okay" in a sense. Something has to be at benchmark level or higher, essentially to be anything. Based on your choice of label, you're not qualified to judge on race quality or abilities as the "benchmark" just barely gets you by. Whereas race would be on the opposite end of this spectrum. It's like passing with all c- (benchmark) vs. an all a+ honor roll (Race/gold standard).

Youd think after 3-4 races the racers would not get on brake until he finally raises his arms...but they dont...

I watched that race back with the silver fox body and that blue wagon at x0.25 speed and that fox beat that wagon by a bumper. They for sure called that race wrong. Smh

Obviously not. Notice the Camaro that won was .2 slower than the Malibu all day and night until they matched up. All of a sudden the Camaro was .2 faster. You can’t find .4 that easily.
Music was OK but a little more engine music and shots of the cars under the hood would make it better.I hope the racers didn`t know their ET`on this night before betting.

@@jessedavis1741 I am old school. Street outlaws is going the right direction by bringing back stuff that doesn’t have those giant hp motors. I like the good ole stuff in the 500-900 hp range. More guys can afford it and it’s more fun to watch. I have a 412 Chevy small block with less than $11 grand in it, putting out around 800 hp, normally aspirated and it is fun to play with. No rocket science needed to play and tune it

Disqualifying someone for being too fast in a race they can't sandbag is wild
Its a bracket race he should have qualified into a faster class if he can run it. Is it possible for a car to pick up .2 of a second at night? Yes but thats the rules of the bracket.

I do agree with you 100 percent. About crossing the line but they have certain rules for bracket racing..bracket racing never had any appeal to me just for that reason..

In my sport. We don’t race for the money. We do it because it’s fun, it’s very challenging, and we like to put a show on for people. If you travel you can get into some big race where you can win $5,000-$20,000, but you have to have a updated car, and the best team.

I went to watch pinks when they came to Indianapolis, and on tv. It was a lot better then what’s on now. Can’t even think of what the name is at the moment, don’t watch it.
This episode was bullshit. Camaro was .2 slower all night, then magically makes a .4 turnaround beating the Malibu by identical gaps twice. You don’t just pick up four tenths at that level.
