You have just given me more work to do lol. I have a variety of EQ methods listed from you and OCA and I'm getting them all lined up to try out. I totally get the theory behind this and I'm eager to try it out. These calibration videos are gems. Thanks.
This is great stuff. I only have the audyssey app and import the speaker measurements into rew using oca's method. I inverted my measurements using the dB average with a variation of the tool curve , then removed all peaks from the created text files and uploaded them into the app. Using the distance and volume settings I got again from oca's process and the results are fantastic. Thanks for posting.
Oh really? Nice! I actually just finished time aligning my speakers also, it's crazy tight bass now. Ohh its good. I used impulse aligning for my speakers and align phase at cursor set to 80hz for my subs. The only thing that matters with sub alignment to mains is the important frequency of the 80hz crossover in my opinion. Thanks WMAC, I appreciate the comments.
I’m going to test this method out vs the psychoacoustic smoothing eq so I can compare the Clarity (C50) and spectrogram results. My assumption is that Clarity will be superior with this method due to the decrease in boost throughout the frequency range.
Working with a 2 channel system with only global PEQ for Both channels. So my approach is to run REW with L+R measurement at listening position. From there use REW EQ to design some “do no harm” PEQ which I will manually load into DSP. Does this approach make sense? Thanks
I've been thinking about something like this too. Great video, and thanks for the text file, that's much easier.
Awesome, glad you enjoyed it. I think people will really like this sound.
Thank you Carl, as always a great video! Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹 ❤
Thanks Dan, I hope you enjoyed it.
Very very practical, 1:1 smoothing and keeping signature Sound .. Exactly correct!!! Just what I need
How does it sound?

Thanks Mike. Yeah, me too. I've been watching OCA videos and seeing what methods I can use lol.
Thank you Carl.
Thanks Cheekster, I always appreciate your comments.

Let me know how it goes.

Absolutely yes. How does it sound?
Dosnt OCA also say never A over B without using a minimum phase version of the Response, because the pahse will be off ? At 12:31
I think he does yes. I always refer back to OCA's videos whenever I can.
Where is you measurement mic
Placed, near field or listening position?
Thanks
Main Listening Position.
Do you do consultations if we can privately discuss how to use Audyssey Multeq X?
I don't but maybe I could do something like that.
@@hdmoviesource That would be awesome!
send me an email at info@hdmoviesource.com.
Carl where can we get Harmon curve for REW
Thank you
It should be in my description.
