I have done my L1 twice and I don’t use it or coach, but it’s because I respect the methodology and I feel proud to have it. Of course HQ has some nuisances and kinks every now and then but it’s doesn’t change what CrossFit means to me. I’ll always support the methodology. The games is just a fun way to view the expression of people doing it a lot. That’s all.
10:55 Sevan, you nailed the “dynamic” between Brian and Andrew. Together they are, as each always has been individually, a bit awkward-not quite reps ahead… oh well.
I don't care what people say. The open, affiliates, and games/sport need to coexist and support one another. Otherwise we (crossfit) just become another OT, F45...name one. CrossFit is methodology that was able to also make it a sport. No one else has done this. Without the the affiliates, the open, and the games. CrossFit goes away in 1-2 years. This potentially could be the last year of the "games".
43:00 CrossFit sport/games and media is the only reason the affiliates grew to the size and number they were at the peak and CrossFit has been slowly killing both. Yall won’t be happy until CrossFit is back to 2008 when no one knew what it was or gave a shit but you had your little cult echochamber just how it was. This is like when a band gets big and their original audience resents the new audience even though it’s making the band successful finally. No one gives a short about the methodology, it’s lifting weights and doing burpees. Yall keep screaming reeeeeee when someone attacks your Catholic Church because some cardinals covered up little boy touching. You’re in a cult, you’re in a bubble… you think they’re killing it but it’s actually you just coming out of it to join the rest of the world.
Oh good, glad you set us straight. I never thought of any of that before this enlightening comment 😂 You’re so right from your perched moral and intellectual high ground. Please continue to lead us with your wisdom.
WOW, you over dosed on the Kool Aid. Sounds like you buy everything "influencers" say... The games are nothing without the affiliates. And the athletes might find out the hard way.
