When he says Turkmenistan he doens't refers to modern Turkmenistan country but he refers historical Turkmenistan which means the land includes Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhistan, East Turkmenistan( Uyghurs) and South Siberia. Do not misinform people. East Turkistan (Uyghurs and Siberia were never parts of Turkmen homeland. Yes there was no Turkmenistan in history but Turkmens were descendents of Oghuz Turks. Oghuz homeland was bordering Caspian Sea, Mangyshlaq peninsula, Aral Sea, including historical city of Jand. That means Oghuz-Turkmen homeland was including modern Turkmenistan Southern Kazakhstan and Western Uzbekistan.

Until Russian invasion, whole Central Asia was referred as Turkistan. Turkistan is a genuine geograhic name. There were Turkistan governorate and Autonomous Turkistan Republic under Russian rule.

Some correction, Turks and Mongols are different races, they lived as neighbors in Siberia... From Siberia (Russia), the tribes moved to Central Asia, Khorasan, Modern Iran territories (Iran was under Turkic sultanates, kings, emirs for over 1000 years), Caucas, Eastern Europe (Crimea, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria) and etc.. Turkmenistan doesn't represent whole Turkish families, they are just about 4 million people, and the country itself was created artificially by the Soviet Union, it was part of Khiva Khanate (Uzbekistan)... We are more than 15 nationalities at this moment. Ottoman Empire Turks and Seljuks Turks biologically the same... Ottoman Empire was a combination of many Turkic tribes at that time and when the Sultanate of Rum (partition of Seljuk demolished) the Ottoman Empire rose up... Proudly Turkic descent. And one day we shall rise again and will support Mahdi and Isa (SAV)... matter of times...

Second of all, if you into "GENETICS", which seems like, you test us by "yourself", you will see that turkic people are quite mixed, especially contemporary Turkey, which is Ottoman empire, who actually saved you Arabs, and mostly protected the middle east region. We turkic people have 3 bloods mixed, roman (Anatolian), Persian, and Turkic. The last mix was turkic. I am talking being central asian turkic. You can look into genotypes of regions, you will see that.

There is a problem. Turks were not considered a backward race before Islam. Turks were one of the 3 world powers with Romans and Sassanids. Each of the other two powers were seeking for the support of Turks to win the Roman-Sassanid war.
Roman Empire and Sassanids used to hire Turkic nomad warriors. Also Turkic Khan’s came to battle as deep as Rome, and Germany! Hunnic Empire and GokTurk Khanate where humongous empire’s. Hunnic Empire raided and conquered Roman towns as far as in Italy. GokTurk Khanate was in the other hand very active in Korean, Chinese and Yuan regions outside of their own territories from Caucasia to East-Turkestan(Xianshang 16th province of China)

As being a Turk from Turkey, I wholeheartedly thank to the narrater (vaiz) of this video as he highlighted the significance of Turks' hitherto protection and defending of Islam. But nevertheless, I need to clarify some points that he naively and unintentionally told in a wrong manner.
First, the Turks and Mongols are not the same race, or cousin race as portrayed in the video. But one could say they are the peoples from same language family, known as Altaic, as well as Japanese and Korean. That's to say Turks are a different race than Mongols, Japanese or Korean etc. Rather, the Turks were the only nation who dared to fight against the Mongol hordes of Ghenghiz Khan (e.g. Jalal-al-Din Kharezmshah in 1220s) and then against Hulagu Khan of the Ilkhanids (e.g. Sultan Alauddin Kaykubat of the Seljuk State of the Rum in 1230s and later on Mamluk Sultan Baybars, a Turkish general in Egypt stopped them in Ayn Jallut in 1260). According to some chronicles of the Turkish medieval history (Camiu't Tevarih, by Reshidid-din Fazlullah for example), the grand forefather of the Turks Oghuz Khan sacked the Mongols and forced them to exile to the modern day Mongolia from Turkestan as they refused accept monotheistic Gök-Tengri belief of the proto-Turks, which suggested to worship to one God, a celestial God (Gök-Sky and Tengri-God), a spiritual God, but not an icon, statue or natural things like the sun or moon. Therefore, the Turks before Islam were also monotheistic people in belief, whereas the Mongols have been worshipping nature Gods and spirits, thus they were shamanists and paganists. So to speak, it is incorrect to call who were prophesized Turks or Mongols. For sure they were the blessed Turks who were prophesized, not the Mongols who gave the biggest harm to Islam in the 13th century.
Secondly, the birthplace of the Turkic nations are not Turkmenistan but Otuken Valley, in modern day Mongolia. Turkmenistan is a post-Soviet country near by the Caspian Sea in Central Asia. Coming from the descendant of the Oghuz Turks Turkmenistan is just a Soviet style artifical and titular nation-state created during the early Soviet era by Joseph Stalin. And Turkmen means historically, just a Muslim Turk (used to separate Turks converted Islam from the Turks who remained in Gök Tengri belief of the proto-Turks. Xinjiang province however, is in northwestern China, called as East Turkestan, where historically the Uyghur Turks lived for centuries, but it is not the place where the Turks first appeared in history in the Asian steppes.
Thirdly, The Great Seljuq State is not the first Turkish empire, but before Seljuq, the Turks founded many empires like the Hunnic Confederation, Gòkturk and Uyghur Khaganates, Ghaznevids, Karakhanids and the Oghuz Yabgu State. The Great Seljuq Empire was the pioneers of the Ottomans in the region, protected Islam against the Crusaders and the Mongols during the medieval era.
Fourth,
After the Turks were converted into Islam voluntarily, they took the responsibility of defending of Allah's religion. Islam has contributed a lot to the Turkic civilization and gave a spiritually to them no question about it. Nevertheless, the Turks were never been a far-away backward race as the narrater used to describe this nation, but rather the Turks were the single most game-changing race in the Eurasian steppes and established a nomadic civilization, whose influences still felt in the statehood and nationhood of many Asian countries from Korea to Iran and from China to Turkey.
Fifth, the grave of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari was known to have discovered upon the dream of Mullah Akshamseddin, the most important tutor and spiritual adviser of Fatih Sultan Mehmed Khan, who is called as, Muhammad al-Fatih by the Arabs, and conquered the then Constantinople in 1453, what is known today, İstanbul. Therefore, no question about the tomb of Abu Ayyub, where the Ottomans built a shrine and changed the district's Greek name to Eyüb Sultan. Then, Mehmed the second has become the most esteem Ottoman Sultan as he took the single most important Christian city in Europe in that time and realized the prophecy of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) after eight centuries. Thus, the Turkish army has also become the best army of the armies of Allah, and its soldiers, known as Mehmetçik, the little Mehmed since then.
To sum up, Prophet Mohammad (s.a.w. / pbuh) knew that reality centuries before the Ottoman Empire rose to power, and he foretold Muslims to accept the Turks' Islamic authority for the sake of the Muslim unity and warned the Arabs, as his hadith telling them, "don't fight with the Turks and leave them as soon as they leave you, if you wage war against them, you would loose". But some Arabs, the Salafi-Wahhabi Ibn-i Suud followers I mean, not all Arabs for sure, have betrayed the Ottoman Empire as they started to serve for the British and their illegal child in the Middle East, Israel.
The Turks, most notably the Seljuk and Ottoman Empires fought against the infidels in order to sustain the dignity of Islam, to protect the Muslims against the Christendom and as well as the oppressed people elsewhere in the world against the oppressors. I hope all our Muslim brothers and sisters will know these realities and we will unite once again to spread Allah's religion, to terminate injustice and exploitation in the world in which we live now a-days. Greetings & salutations to you from the UK, I have some Turkish blood from Anatolia, my great grandfather on my mother side was Ottoman stationed in Algeria during the transition just after the Ottomans who were in trouble then handed Algeria over for geopolitical & military reasons, I have enjoyed all TV series on the Ottoman Empire such as Magnificent Century, Dirillis: Ertugrul & Kurulus: Osman, also the great movie Fatih 1453 which is available dubbed in English. Thanks for a very informative post. I heard some worrying news that the youth in Turkey are turning away from Islam, which if true is very sad.

Now a-days Algerian people see this truth and lament France and its infidel governance. By the way, no worry about the secularization of some young people in Turkey. Majority of the young people still stand with Allah's only religion and ready to defend it as their forefathers have done this mission since the 8th- 9th centuries. Western history major here. Great video. Accurate acount of events. Just have one minor note. He refers to Constantinople as the capital of the "Holy Roman Empire" Technically it wasn't. It was the Capital of the Roman Empire, or Byzantium, or Eastern Roman Empire. Whatever nominclature you wish to use. The "Holy Roman Empire" was founded in the 10th century in present day Germany (Eastern Francia) by Otto the 1st and was dissolved in the early 19th century by Napoleon. You can argue that this is just semantics, but I would dissagree.

Good video but i see there is always confusion between turks and mongols in historical videos. Both had similarities in language and culture yet they were two seperate folks. Mongols practised shamanism while turks were monotheistic - they whorshipped only one God (Gök Tengri) even before Islam. Their religion had affinity to islamic believes (probably through a prophet thousands of years ago). Even their facial features were different. But it's true that Ghengis Khan's mongol armies had many turkish mercenaries and warlords in their ranks. It's not a big deal but it's fact!
yes. unfortunately. mongols and turkics are not cousins like jews and arabs. turkic and mongolic languages are completely unrelated. the only common thing between turkics and mongols at some point of history they shared same geography but of course that not means they are related. Turkic peoples first appeared today's northeastern Kazakhstan, and mongols first apperaed north of Korea. More than 3500 km. Turkics lived western part of inner asia, mongols eastern. Thats way turkics assisted sassanids against byzantines from caucausus before Islam and also thats way arabs encountered Turks in central asia not mongols. Furthermore Turkics were very diverse in physionomy even before their migration to westwards. Medieval russsians describes non-muslims Cumans as polovtsy which means blonde. Mongols only with Chinghis Khan became a political power. Thats mongol cousins story a very common misconception and probably came from debunked altaic theory.

He’s misinforming, Mongolian language is NOT a Turkic language, and Turks are not from Mongolia per se. they are from Central Asia, not just Turkmenistan. Mongolian has very less to do with Turkish language, not even classified as a Turkic language

On the presidential seal of the Turkish president is 16 stars, they represent the 16 great Turkic empires from the Huns to the Ottomans. you made a mistake when saying the Selcuks and Ottomans were biologically different. they were both same race Turkmen (previous word for turk) Ertugrul bey was a great leader of a huge Tribe called kayi. they were from the oguz descendents. only they were allowed leadership as they were fierce in battle. Ertugrul bey served under the Sultan Keykubat of the Selcuk empire and was awarded the status of regional commander( ucbey) also was given land city Bilecik. after his death his son Osman took over the rule over his tribe. he was keen and also fierce in battle and soon many other tribes took biat swore alliegence to him as he grew stronger and established the Ottoman empire.from a small city his conquests formed a strong empire lasting up to 1908 after the Khalifa Sultan Abdul hamid 2. was dethroned. yet there were 2 more sultans after him. but M.Kemal established the Türkisch republic in 1923 thus banished the remaining ottomans families from Türkiye for 50 years.
