Absolutely one of the few affordable options out there and to date I’ve never had issues with Taurus revolvers. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already.
Thank you for such an excellent review! I have the 692 Taurus Tracker in 3" Barrel, and this is by far my favorite firearm of all time! I have shot a total of 300 rounds thru it thus far. The 300 rounds include the following Ammunition: 157 Rounds of 357 Magnum (158 Grain)-Federal American Eagle 143 Rounds of 9MM (147 Grain)-Federal American Eagle Out of the 300 rounds fired thru this revolver I have not had any malfunctions. It is built like a tank! I have watched a few videos on the Taurus 692 and some reviewers are saying that the 9MM seems to be more accurate than the 357 Magnum. I have not seen this to be true thru my particular firearm. This revolver is very accurate in both 357 Magnum and 9MM! What an amazing gun at a very affordable price! Thank you for taking the time to make this video!
I’m super surprised at how much I like this revolver because I don’t really like Taurus. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Thanks for your post. I've had my Taurus 627 Tracker in .357 Magnum/.38 Special with a 4" barrel for several years. Mine came with the ribber grips. I replaced them with Hogue grips.
Very satisfied with mine, same barrel length but in matt black. A multicaliber pistol like this is perfect in times ahead when ammo may be scarce, and bullet choice may be whatever is on the shelf. This will take any bullet style you can find in any of the 3 calibers. You will for sure want to get a moon clip loader / unloader to go with this as your fingers will be complaining very quickly. It will fire 9mm without the moon clip, but it's a PITA to get them out as the ejector doesn't pop them out as there's no rim to push against.
We have found the exact thing to be true with shooting the 9, glad it wasn’t just us. Thanks for watching, happy to have you! Please subscribe if you haven’t already
Easy enough to glue six (or seven) dowels of appropriate diameter into a wee block of wood, push the cartridges out with that. Wouldn’t want to mess the manicure.
You can run 380,9mm,38automatic,and 38superautomatic,38special,through the 357, the others are all 355cal,or 355,1000th of an inch But before you start using those shorter cases you should coat your gun with breakfree or it's going to build up, and getting the long case's out will become a bitch, you should always coat your gun from new with breakfree, 9:41
Thanks for that knowledge. Didn’t know about break free but thank you for letting us and everyone else on here know. Please subscribe if you haven’t already!
This revolver has a separate cylinder for the 9mm. I assume that was for the previous commenter because we never said that a 9mm would fit in a .38/.357. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
BTW, this Taurus 692 Tracker revolver can shoot .380 Auto (for that that want to) by using high quality TK Custom 7-shot moon-clips made for the Taurus 692...along with moon-clips they also make for the 9mm & .357 Magnum / .38 Special moon-clips. This gives this particular handgun 4 cartridge capability = way cool. Good video!
I walked into lgs and they had one in SS so its on layaway...i showed it to my wife thinking it would be to big/heavy for her , nope she really liked it ! So i asked him to get another for me ! Lol
There you go that’s awesome. My wife carries a Ruger LCRX in 357 magnum. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
The casing (not projectile) of the 9mm is slightly larger and won’t allow the round to seat completely and close the cylinder. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I wish they’d put the amriglow front sight on these,I know it’s more a self defense sight, but the sight this comes with is cheap for a “nicer” line in there guns.I’m going to get one and the .22/22 mag version
Yeah I really really like that from night sight a lot I’m with you. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already and follow us on Rumble at rumble.com/v2clhaz-canik-mete-sfx-pro-standing-out-in-a-crowd.-range-day.html
People who hate on Taurus are usually people who want to justify their more expensive revolvers lol. This Taurus 692 and Taurus Raging hunter 460SW with 5 inch barrel are best looking revolvers.
@mrdato116 you say it looks like a 1911 with Down syndrome? lol you ain’t right. I said the same about the new Henry revolver. I was like good grief you do something new and make a revolver that looks like a charter arms with Down syndrome
Unfortunately no they just lead you to dealers websites. They are very hard to find. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already and follow us on Rumble at…rumble.com/v2lypbj-glock-43x-versus-shadow-systems-cr920-whos-king.html
There hard to find I'm in Indiana and I started looking for one as soon as covid hit and left my name and number at some gun shops and around Oct one called and said a new one walked in his door so I was there in a jiffy to get it
@terryheck9507 dude you can’t find them here either. I was very very fortunate to be in a local Mom and Pop gun store. Literally as this thing was being put out on the shelf as it had been delivered by FedEx that morning. I have not saw one in any store and we frequent about six different stores in our area at least once a week and I have yet to see one on the shelf since I bought this one a little while ago.
I like Ruger and S&W revolvers and I’m not saying this is a better build necessarily I’m simply saying for the average day to day guy they are overpriced and the Taurus is in some ways underpriced lol. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
@@GSquaredTactical I've owned taurus revolvers and have no issues, wont buy a semi auto taurus though. I just like the way ruger makes a revolver better and while I've never had to use Taurus's warranty, I've heard nightmare stories about it. If I find one if these I will buy one though, looks like a fun gun.
How is $900 for a Taurus budget friendly? You can't find it less then $800, plus shipping, credit card 3%, and FFL fee... I have no idea how you got it for so cheap these days. I really really want it but I'm struggling to spend $900 for what it is. I check gunbroker and Google gunshops every day trying to find this thing. I visit my gunships once every two weeks still nothing...
Great video. Definitely interested in that gun. Have always wanted a 9mm revolver. And this one being 7 shot is a nice bonus.

9mm luger will never fit into the chamber of a 38/357 mag revolver. Too fat. Also, the rimless cases will not headspace, so they won't work either.

Love TAURUS very innovative company producing quality reliable guns that are priced properly!
They are definitely priced right and we’ve had nothing but good service from them in last 4 years or so.
You should do a review on the NAA 22 sidewinder.
We shall try
Happy Holidays to you. I am thinking about getting this bad boy, I already have a 608 and 905 but the idea that you can carry a 3 inch would be nice.

Why do you need a different cylinder for the 9 mil
The casing (not projectile) of the 9mm is slightly larger and won’t allow the round to seat completely and close the cylinder. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Casing is not the same diameter and it the 9mm is a rim less case.
You also need moon clips for the 9mm.
Also what they said lol

Yeah but tokarev looks like deformed 1911 lol. Plus ammo is expensive and weaker than 9mm

$900 for a Taurus, that is way to much for that gun.
Probably but you can’t find it anywhere and the quantity is way better then what It use to be.
@@GSquaredTactical still you can get a Smith and Wesson for that price.
I don’t believe you can buy an S&W with unfluted cylinder and a extra 9mm cylinder for $900 with tax.
