Kate Javens, Painter

Kate Javens has become very well known for her large scale paintings of animals and insects. These paintings are metaphorical in nature and often are "portraits" of actual American social scientists like Derek Bell. Kate is married to the artists/ musician Wade Schuman, whose band Hazmat Modine provided the music for this film.
