    I’m leaving next Sunday to start the trail. It’s my first solo tour. I’m encouraged by your video that the trail is something I can accomplish.

    Having rain gear will not only keep you so that the pouring buckets down on you the rain gear will even though you’re wet underneath it it’ll make it so you don’t get cold and it gives you it doesn’t deplete your energy because you’re being rained on

    Magnesium, Keith. Anyone engaging in exercising needs ample amounts of Magnesium for Brain, Nervous system and Muscle functions.
    I forgot to mention I enjoyed your explanation of this particular rail trail.
    Good journey to you my friend. 🚴💨💨💨

    He called Loveland London 11 times...........LOL! I agree with him that Loveland is a great trail town and living in eastern Cincinnati I ride through that area about once a week. The 13 miles of trail from Loveland to Morrow was the first section of the Little Miami Trail that was opened and that was way back in 1984.

    Nice video - at 33:15 min, I think you mean Loveland Ohio with all the shops on the trail, not London.

    Nice informative video. Thanks! For the record, a you tuber named path less pedaled did a 30 minute interview with the head editor of the Oxford English Dictionary and they discussed origins and pronunciation of the word pannier. It is pronounced pan-yer and is actually English in origin. Just a bit of trivia for ya and yes, I can’t believe I watched the whole dang video about it 😊. Thanks again!

      @@KeithOutsidei took the Amtrak to DC and rode to Pittsburgh, but plan to do the reverse this summer. I've done most of the Cleveland to Bolivar route and would consider it very similar to the GAP /C&O trail.

    I enjoyed watching your ride. I plan to do this in the Summer and hotel hop. How far out did you plan your hotels? Can you do it on the fly while riding the trail or did you need to book in advance?

    • @KeithOutside
      @KeithOutside  Год назад +1

      Thanks!! I reserved two nights in advance at first. By the end of the trip it was just one night in advance. There are a lot of hotels along the way. I wouldn’t think it’d be too hard to get one.

    I plan to bike from Chicago to NYC in June. I was thinking of going Chicago to Michigan by ferry but I’m from Cleveland by birth. Maybe I shouldn’t miss this.

    Would you please share the hotels you stayed at?

    • @KeithOutside
      @KeithOutside  16 дней назад

      Unfortunately I don’t remember all the hotels. But here is what I do remember. I stayed at 6 hotels. Akron lots of options
      Millersburg lots of options
      Mount Vernon stayed at The Grand. Nice Hotel and good location for food.
      Columbus stayed at a Drury
      Xenia stayed at a Ramada. Lots of other options. My room had a bit of a moldy smell.
      Loveland stayed at a Hilton. Hotel was fine but very out of the way on a bicycle. Didn’t see many other options at the time.
      Hope this helps.

    Hey Kieth, I am doing the trail in September. Hotels and restaurants, what did you find you needed to budget?

    • @KeithOutside
      @KeithOutside  2 года назад +2

      I want to say right around 2,200. That was for 8 days of hotel stays and restaurants. You can certainly do it for less.

  • @spaceghost8995

    Trail app says it's 271 miles. I'm guessing that figure didn't count the 55 road miles ?

    • @KeithOutside
      @KeithOutside  Год назад +2

      Probably. The Ohio to Erie Trail website definitely says it’s 326 miles.

    The guy that told you about Ziploc bags are your friend he must be a commuter because you don’t want to rely on Ziploc bags when you’re traveling hundreds of miles or thousands of miles for some things that’s OK but not for 95% of her stuff

    50+ miles of vehicular road riding? Nope - No thank you.
    I am plenty fit enough - could do this in 3 days - but until that 50+ miles of road riding is gone, I won't even consider it. (Don't be fooled by the rural roads - just as dangerous if not more - the good old boys hate bikers and basically anyone that is smart enough to excercise).

    • @KeithOutside
      @KeithOutside  Год назад

      😂😂 I was riding a rural road around quitting time and they were definitely flying.
