Hello from Oregon, you mentioned Zombies! I'm sure your familiar with Dead Snow? I have both on Blu-Ray. Such an underrated Zombie movie. I would like to see in 4K Red Dragon (prequel to Silence of the Lambs) and Enemy of the State, Tower Heist and I Love You Man. Those are some of my favorites. Last year the girlfriend and I went to Universal Studios in Hollywood. Went to the Michal Myers "Halloween" house. Fun other than the two hour wait in line. Also seen the house in Psycho! I would be interested in World War Z if the Unrated cut was in 4K. I liked it in theaters but once i saw the unrated cut on blu ray i could never watch the theatrical again.
👍Completely agree, the unrated cut was amazing compared to the theatrical cut but I don’t know what crazy crap 💩 Shout Factory is doing lately, but not including the other better unrated cut on 4K💿 sure feels like a huge missed opportunity to create an amazing Ultimate 4K UltraHD💿 set that everyone would have wanted to buy & own! SMH 🤦♂️
@In Search of Physical Media I just went to their website and saw 1: it is backordered, and 2: like you said, no 4K of the unrated cut! Booo! It also carefully does not say the unrated cut is remastered. I definitely will not be getting this set. I'll hang on to my unrated blu ray. It's just like the 4K Waterworld from Arrow Video not including 4Ks of my favorite cuts. The extended Waterworld really is like a different and far better movie. Same with Independence Day. Once I went extended on these movies I could no longer do the theatrical.
Definitely excited for the new video games series as I am a physical only collector. Pre-ordered the Ferris Bueller steel book, thanks a bunch for the update. Btw got The Last Starfighter yesterday and it looks brilliant!

Great review ! I’d like to see Mission Galactica : The Cylon Attack on 4K as it seems to have missed a blu ray release altogether, and simpler to release than the whole Tv series .Yes , it’s based on The Living Legend & Fire in Space , but I prefer the different scenes and music cues in Mission Galactica . Great though the theatrical release of the first film is getting a 4K release .
Yah, there is soo many great Sci-Fi that’s deserve 4K💿 releases & I’m hopefully that this is just the beginning of the floor gates opening for future classic Sci-Fi 4K restorations of TV series & movies!🤟😉

Also, I already review titles that Eureka sends to me every once in a while, but they haven’t really released too many 4K’s yet, so they only sent the Police Story 4K set that I previously reviewed here on my channel! As far as Radiance I talked directly with them previously & they choose to work with a distribution company that treated my channel absolutely horribly & therefore I don’t review any titles currently from their distribution! 🥰Thanks for your comments & continuing 🥇VIP CLUB support!🤟
I know how it goes, as a person that runs a channel, group or club! I’m president of a collector’s club. It’s a TON of work, for little payback. As the person running the channel/club, you have to deal with a lot of crap and it can get discouraging! Just think about the positive impact you’re making and the vast majority of people that appreciate your efforts.

I’m interested in seeing how Battlestar: Galactica would look in 4K; and if this does sell great, I’d like for Universal to do 4K releases for not just the TV series; but also the pilot movies for other Universal TV shows like Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and The Incredible Hulk.
Putting in my Amazon order for Nightbreed, Jaws 2, and Vanilla Sky. BUT, I changed from Nightbreed 4K to the Blu-ray w director’s cut based on this video.
James, great show as always. I am looking forward to the films coming out next few months. The Truman show really excites me. I agree with you about Shout factory. For example, you are right on the target with Creepshow. The bluray was such a great presentation and it had a nice hard cover and book. Why at least they could not do the same with that. Also, I am also frustrated that they are not doing directors cut on films in 4k.. Ok, first off , I can see their point with additional element might not be in 4K quality shape. Yet, I can't see why they cant just release whatever the film 4k scan of the film is with the lesser addition parts included. Just add a disclaimer that they did the best they can with what they have. I would be perfectly happy with directors cut of Life force and Night breed directors cut be mostly 4k presentations. At least they tried their best on it. I agree that it's purely lazy at best.. Now you point about Shout 4k not being all regional. Again, I agree with you that that it bad practice for them to do that. Shout better be careful because imagine Arrow starts releasing some of their old title and have 4k scans of the directors cut. People may stop buying from Shout. Don't even get me started about criterion and their prices. Criterion ( I love them, don't get me wrong) was lazy about adapting to 4K. I think they are paying the price. How many titles have they lost out from Kino Lorber. Plus, they are so expensive that I will wait to 50 percent sale. So much to buy. One question, if you reviewed it , I might have missed it. Did you review the Arrow Enter the Video Store: Empire of Screams [Collector's Set] [Blu-ray] [5 Discs] set yet.. I know they are not the best films, but what a creative idea from Arrow..Ok, enough talking your ear off. Have a great day..
👌Agree, it’s crazy how poorly Shout Factory has been handling their recent 4K💿 releases & they are presenting a BAD👎 image for cutting corners, region locking & going the cheap route with their new 4K UltraHD💿 releases!🤦♂️ I gotta say though it’s a good thing Criterion decided not to get into the 4K game early on because otherwise we wouldn’t have as many great 4K 💿releases from Kino Lorber & Kino has been doing some amazing jobs on their 4K catalog so far & at wayyyy less than the high price Criterion charges for their 4K’s💿 too LOL!!!!!🤣😂😅 Thanks for your great comments!🤟😉

Hmm, I am curious about what you think of the upgrade to les miserables, I am much more of an audio fan, then a visual, so I am hoping we get a great 7.2.6 or a 9.2.6 audio mix, with some good use of the heights, not that there is much I can think of, in the heights… I think I already pre-ordered the movie as well, so I may cancel that order and order again via your link…. While on the video-game front, I have gone only digital, I think I started that in the Xbox 360 era, since it was easier to just buy a game via Xbox live, install it, and play it, but then again back then I did buy a few disc games, that was just when I shifted toward going with digital only games, though I only implemented that fully when playing on the series X… , since I have had no reason to buy physical copies to save me from paying for shipping or, having that effect on the environment…. Though I still do buy movies on disc, but I like the option of getting a digital copy, that I can redeem via iTunes…. Which was the reason for why I generally bought most of the Wb films, on itunes, instead of getting the disc, until they joined the movies anywhere group, which I am grateful for, since wb generally makes some good movies….
I didn't specifically buy a region free 4k or blu ray player, but accidentally found myself in possession of a few region B blu rays (posession was one of them😅) and had no problem playing them- one i have to press TOP MENU to get it to load. The 4k player is a panasonic dp-ub820-k and the sony blu ray player is old AF. No one has ever been able to tell me if this is a fluke or they're truly region free. I plan on buying whatever until something doesn't work or someone can explain this.
Too bad about Shout/Scream😢. I wonder if they have had a change in management? It sucks they quit sending you releases, seems petty and bad for their reputation in the marketplace. It’s a bad business practice. It would be better if they were upfront and explained why they are doing or not doing certain things. Customers will start making a statement by choosing where to spend their physical media dollars.
Hi James thanks for another great instalment. For me the number one pick here is Battlestar Galactica!!!! I remember being blown away when I first watched it as a youngster. When the TV series came out, which aired on a Friday night I didn't want to play my Friday night basketball games... Battlestar won hands down! 😀
I’ve purchased People under the stairs in 4k from WOWHD and it only talks about the bluray and dvd being region locked.Nothing on their site saying the 4k is locked…🤔
I previously would see shout/scream factory and automatically buy if i liked the title. What I'm hearing in this video has me rethinking that practice. If they were sending him pre release review discs and then started ghosting him, that's a problem. I pre-ordered the friday the 13th bluray set from them years ago and had zero issue getting my replacement discs- but have heard from multiple people they never got theirs. If true, very concerning 🧐
Re: Bruce Lee, I was going to ask whether the 4K would differ from the one in the Golden Harvest Arrow set, but on looking I see that 'Enter The Dragon' is the only movie in the Arrow set that isn't in 4K, but is the 1998 Warner Special Edition blu-ray.
Super excited for the criterion ranown box set escpecially considering the normal july sale. As for nightbreed they are including the director's cut just no upgrade to 4k. Looking forward to the videogame content. While most disc based games are no longed included on the physical disk there are a few out there still. Final Fantasy 16 and Final Fantasy Rebirth will be included on multiple discs.
🤔Yah they exactly my point Scream factory has gotten very lazy lately & is not releasing the different preferred cuts of films on 4K like they did with all the previous Blu Ray sets & are drastically cutting corners & going the cheap route along with the many other playback issues I highlighted! As a company they have started down a very bad quality path right now!👎 I’m really hoping the video game content is a BIG HIT because I’m needing to find a way to grow this channel faster & drastically increase financial support for these videos & my channel because it’s simply been horrible financially on videos for this year so far & I’ve been losing money on most of the videos I create & my wife’s had enough😡 of losing money! Shout Factory region locking their blurays is not done out of malice. They were only given distribution rights for one region from the studio. Save your hatred for the studios that put region locks on their distribution
🙄By your uninformed comments, you clearly have ZERO clue of what your talking about!🤦♂️ As I clearly covered & explained a studio must CHOOSE to region lock a 4K UltraHD💿 disc & that completely violates the 4K disc authority rules & they can lose their licenses altogether for these type of 4K UltraHD disc violations! 4K UltraHD💿 Discs are NEVER supposed to be region locked EVER under any circumstances! With this & some of the other big issues I detailed, Shout Factory has made some very clear violations & has started down a very bad quality path lately & it’s very upsetting!😤🙄Next time though you should really pay attention to what I’m clearly explaining in the video before you go off & start leaving nonsensical & illogical comments like this, it just shows how little you paid attention!🤦♂️

Hello from Oregon, you mentioned Zombies! I'm sure your familiar with Dead Snow? I have both on Blu-Ray. Such an underrated Zombie movie. I would like to see in 4K Red Dragon (prequel to Silence of the Lambs) and Enemy of the State, Tower Heist and I Love You Man. Those are some of my favorites. Last year the girlfriend and I went to Universal Studios in Hollywood. Went to the Michal Myers "Halloween" house. Fun other than the two hour wait in line. Also seen the house in Psycho! I would be interested in World War Z if the Unrated cut was in 4K. I liked it in theaters but once i saw the unrated cut on blu ray i could never watch the theatrical again.
👍Completely agree, the unrated cut was amazing compared to the theatrical cut but I don’t know what crazy crap 💩 Shout Factory is doing lately, but not including the other better unrated cut on 4K💿 sure feels like a huge missed opportunity to create an amazing Ultimate 4K UltraHD💿 set that everyone would have wanted to buy & own! SMH 🤦♂️
@In Search of Physical Media I just went to their website and saw 1: it is backordered, and 2: like you said, no 4K of the unrated cut! Booo! It also carefully does not say the unrated cut is remastered. I definitely will not be getting this set. I'll hang on to my unrated blu ray. It's just like the 4K Waterworld from Arrow Video not including 4Ks of my favorite cuts. The extended Waterworld really is like a different and far better movie. Same with Independence Day. Once I went extended on these movies I could no longer do the theatrical.
Definitely excited for the new video games series as I am a physical only collector. Pre-ordered the Ferris Bueller steel book, thanks a bunch for the update. Btw got The Last Starfighter yesterday and it looks brilliant!

Great review ! I’d like to see Mission Galactica : The Cylon Attack on 4K as it seems to have missed a blu ray release altogether, and simpler to release than the whole Tv series .Yes , it’s based on The Living Legend & Fire in Space , but I prefer the different scenes and music cues in Mission Galactica . Great though the theatrical release of the first film is getting a 4K release .
Yah, there is soo many great Sci-Fi that’s deserve 4K💿 releases & I’m hopefully that this is just the beginning of the floor gates opening for future classic Sci-Fi 4K restorations of TV series & movies!🤟😉

Also, I already review titles that Eureka sends to me every once in a while, but they haven’t really released too many 4K’s yet, so they only sent the Police Story 4K set that I previously reviewed here on my channel!
As far as Radiance I talked directly with them previously & they choose to work with a distribution company that treated my channel absolutely horribly & therefore I don’t review any titles currently from their distribution!

I know how it goes, as a person that runs a channel, group or club! I’m president of a collector’s club. It’s a TON of work, for little payback. As the person running the channel/club, you have to deal with a lot of crap and it can get discouraging! Just think about the positive impact you’re making and the vast majority of people that appreciate your efforts.

I’m interested in seeing how Battlestar: Galactica would look in 4K; and if this does sell great, I’d like for Universal to do 4K releases for not just the TV series; but also the pilot movies for other Universal TV shows like Buck Rogers in the 25th Century and The Incredible Hulk.

Putting in my Amazon order for Nightbreed, Jaws 2, and Vanilla Sky. BUT, I changed from Nightbreed 4K to the Blu-ray w director’s cut based on this video.
James, great show as always. I am looking forward to the films coming out next few months. The Truman show really excites me. I agree with you about Shout factory. For example, you are right on the target with Creepshow. The bluray was such a great presentation and it had a nice hard cover and book. Why at least they could not do the same with that. Also, I am also frustrated that they are not doing directors cut on films in 4k.. Ok, first off , I can see their point with additional element might not be in 4K quality shape. Yet, I can't see why they cant just release whatever the film 4k scan of the film is with the lesser addition parts included. Just add a disclaimer that they did the best they can with what they have. I would be perfectly happy with directors cut of Life force and Night breed directors cut be mostly 4k presentations. At least they tried their best on it. I agree that it's purely lazy at best.. Now you point about Shout 4k not being all regional. Again, I agree with you that that it bad practice for them to do that. Shout better be careful because imagine Arrow starts releasing some of their old title and have 4k scans of the directors cut. People may stop buying from Shout. Don't even get me started about criterion and their prices. Criterion ( I love them, don't get me wrong) was lazy about adapting to 4K. I think they are paying the price. How many titles have they lost out from Kino Lorber. Plus, they are so expensive that I will wait to 50 percent sale. So much to buy. One question, if you reviewed it , I might have missed it. Did you review the Arrow Enter the Video Store: Empire of Screams [Collector's Set] [Blu-ray] [5 Discs] set yet.. I know they are not the best films, but what a creative idea from Arrow..Ok, enough talking your ear off. Have a great day..

I gotta say though it’s a good thing Criterion decided not to get into the 4K game early on because otherwise we wouldn’t have as many great 4K 💿releases from Kino Lorber & Kino has been doing some amazing jobs on their 4K catalog so far & at wayyyy less than the high price Criterion charges for their 4K’s💿 too LOL!!!!!🤣😂😅

Hmm, I am curious about what you think of the upgrade to les miserables, I am much more of an audio fan, then a visual, so I am hoping we get a great 7.2.6 or a 9.2.6 audio mix, with some good use of the heights, not that there is much I can think of, in the heights… I think I already pre-ordered the movie as well, so I may cancel that order and order again via your link…. While on the video-game front, I have gone only digital, I think I started that in the Xbox 360 era, since it was easier to just buy a game via Xbox live, install it, and play it, but then again back then I did buy a few disc games, that was just when I shifted toward going with digital only games, though I only implemented that fully when playing on the series X… , since I have had no reason to buy physical copies to save me from paying for shipping or, having that effect on the environment…. Though I still do buy movies on disc, but I like the option of getting a digital copy, that I can redeem via iTunes…. Which was the reason for why I generally bought most of the Wb films, on itunes, instead of getting the disc, until they joined the movies anywhere group, which I am grateful for, since wb generally makes some good movies….

I didn't specifically buy a region free 4k or blu ray player, but accidentally found myself in possession of a few region B blu rays (posession was one of them😅) and had no problem playing them- one i have to press TOP MENU to get it to load. The 4k player is a panasonic dp-ub820-k and the sony blu ray player is old AF. No one has ever been able to tell me if this is a fluke or they're truly region free. I plan on buying whatever until something doesn't work or someone can explain this.
Too bad about Shout/Scream😢. I wonder if they have had a change in management? It sucks they quit sending you releases, seems petty and bad for their reputation in the marketplace. It’s a bad business practice. It would be better if they were upfront and explained why they are doing or not doing certain things. Customers will start making a statement by choosing where to spend their physical media dollars.

I previously would see shout/scream factory and automatically buy if i liked the title. What I'm hearing in this video has me rethinking that practice. If they were sending him pre release review discs and then started ghosting him, that's a problem. I pre-ordered the friday the 13th bluray set from them years ago and had zero issue getting my replacement discs- but have heard from multiple people they never got theirs. If true, very concerning 🧐

Re: Bruce Lee, I was going to ask whether the 4K would differ from the one in the Golden Harvest Arrow set, but on looking I see that 'Enter The Dragon' is the only movie in the Arrow set that isn't in 4K, but is the 1998 Warner Special Edition blu-ray.
Super excited for the criterion ranown box set escpecially considering the normal july sale. As for nightbreed they are including the director's cut just no upgrade to 4k. Looking forward to the videogame content. While most disc based games are no longed included on the physical disk there are a few out there still. Final Fantasy 16 and Final Fantasy Rebirth will be included on multiple discs.
🤔Yah they exactly my point Scream factory has gotten very lazy lately & is not releasing the different preferred cuts of films on 4K like they did with all the previous Blu Ray sets & are drastically cutting corners & going the cheap route along with the many other playback issues I highlighted! @@InSearchofPhysicalMedia Definitely wait for sales on criterion. They make primarily good releases but charge that criterion tax. Switch has been my main focus for current generation collecting. Limited Run and Strictly Limited used to get a lot of business from me...not so much lately.

Shout Factory region locking their blurays is not done out of malice. They were only given distribution rights for one region from the studio. Save your hatred for the studios that put region locks on their distribution
🙄By your uninformed comments, you clearly have ZERO clue of what your talking about!🤦♂️ As I clearly covered & explained a studio must CHOOSE to region lock a 4K UltraHD💿 disc & that completely violates the 4K disc authority rules & they can lose their licenses altogether for these type of 4K UltraHD disc violations! 4K UltraHD💿 Discs are NEVER supposed to be region locked EVER under any circumstances!
With this & some of the other big issues I detailed, Shout Factory has made some very clear violations & has started down a very bad quality path lately & it’s very upsetting!😤🙄Next time though you should really pay attention to what I’m clearly explaining in the video before you go off & start leaving nonsensical & illogical comments like this, it just shows how little you paid attention!🤦♂️
