Caster Cu is more than capable of being able to make up for his lack in damage with access to some of the best craft essences in the game! Cu caster is an amazingly good unit for his rarity, but the issue people will have is getting their hands on more copies of him. He's not a must roll, but he can certainly be useful to accounts need a strong aoe caster. The question remains though will you roll his rate up? How should I put this....
Think of him (Cu) as a small aquarium filled with water, and Odin as a fish (but he's not necessary to go to place that has water). Odin can go to that aquarium (vessel) and Cu Caster is one of vessel to reside in.

Sad fact: Until recently ago I thought Black Grail was a CE released in some advanced update only on JP, I have 4 copys of Kaleidoscope but never even saw a Black Grail xD

You used to be able to roll for story locked male servants during white day. That is how I got my copies of Red Hair, Antonio Salieri, Gille Caster, Christopher Columbus, and Cu Caster. The odds were kind of low, but if there was a servant you wanted to summon during white day, you had the chance to get one of them.... It really is a shame... They should bring that back...
From a lore standpoint, I absolutely love his third skill considering who he really is. Such a cleverly designed skill that ties together his mechanics and lore perfectly.
Yeah, it combines both his Grimr and Cu aspects into one.
Cu Caster is quite literally the only reason I AM rolling on Morgan's 1st banner, otherwise I'd roll on her second or third slightly later appearances instead.
Considering all the ridiculous love he's gotten from the devs/Nasu and how busted his ceiling is as the rare caster damage dealer... he'll probably be the first non-gold servant I'll grail to 90!
I'm not through the entire video yet but Cu caster actually has a even bigger "rate up" whenever there is a caster class banner since they include him in those, he's a 3 star AND you can only get casters, so be aware of that if they ever do them again.
You would still have a low chance to get him though, to be exact, a 1/9 chance. It's not like the avenger class banner where if you wanted Salieri then you're almost guaranteed to get him.

I love listening to your analysis! I already grailed him to 100 and 2k Fou'd him, but I need a few more copies to unlock append 2. My first favorite character in the game.
I actually recommend occasionally chucking singles at story because you never know what you could get. I distinctly remember when I needed one more Kscope on my second account to MLB and going "Story? You mean Kscope rate up? kek" and then pulling it. That said if you want a specific unit it's definitely better to wait for the class banners.
I usually just use tickets for story banner.
Especially since it's annoying to only be able to do single pulls with tickets, no matter how many you have...
@@xanaviii On the one hand, it's absolutely baffling that we can still only use single pulls for tickets. On the other hand, it's made saving them pretty easy. You look at a stack of like 80 and you're just like. "Nah fam, I don't wanna roll that bad" lmao

When I first started the game back when it originally launched I didn’t realize story banners were supposed to be terrible. It ended up working out though since it got me a max np cu, a couple copies of Tesla, and cu alter.

But the story banner is not bad, it's just that your chance of getting who you want is low.
There are 3 main ways to use him with Black Grail without plugsuit.
1) with mage uniform to give him the 20% remaining charge that he needs.
2) with atlas uniform so that you use only one Vitch and put Oberon instead as the second support.
3) with maxing out his 2nd append so you fire Cu's S1 twice on T1 and T3 and each Vitch S1 on T1 and T2
You can use Chen Gong strats too with the pathfinder mystic code. 10% from Chen Gong, 10% from pathfinder, 30% self, 50% KS. Make sure to pop Chen’s ult first to sacrifice KS, bringing in the second KS.
It’s super weird, but you can use this comp to level the pathfinder mystic code if you haven’t unlocked the append.
@@iamabowl3678 Those 10% charge codes takes little to no time to max. Anyway I feel that is better to use Castoria - double Oberon instead of Vitch if you wanna use both Gong and Cas Cu together
@@alexanderlevi9558 Fair enough. I wouldn’t bother with Chen Gong + Cu Caster + Pathfinder Mystic code since you can just use the append at level 0 and remove Chen from the comp altogether. I was just mentioning it was another possibility.

U know, I have Cu Caster NP5 till year one, I was that meme about 1 year 1 ssr and Cu Caster Was my assassin killer for like, one year, I have all the cus(except Cu Alter bcs no luck) in bond 10, really remember the first Rashomon, using cus for survability, the good old days
Since i don't have that many buster farmers while having lots of arts and quick, I'm saving for oberon instead of koyanskaya (if their banners overlap, that would be perfect because i could try to get both). This means that I'm forced to do some extremely COPIUM cu caster + oberon + friend's koyan + atlas farming. New meta right here boizzz
I actually rolled the banner for the Cú copies, got a few copies but also got Morgan and the fae Knights. So win win situation 😊. Now I'm waiting for his buff. My grailed boy will be very happy 🫶😍
Four months later and I finally managed to max out Cas Cu's third skill, and he's more than pulled his weight. He's proven to be more efficient at 3-turning the 90+ node of the Santa Martha event than my NP2 Morgan, though I did have to have to grail him to 80 and max out his silver Foes (also had to run Aerial Drive on him to further maximize his damage, not to mention he's also NP5, which was the main reason I switched to using him in this node as not only did he have a class advantage, but he also had a higher NP level). And no, I'm not mad I had to grail Cu because I always had planned to do so because I like Cu as a character, it's just that I hardly got the chance to do so. Kinda sucks that his biggest upgrade is story-locked to Avalon Le Fay, but it's definitely worth the weight.
I tend to like the atlas uniform with Black Grail, Oberon and Vitch. If you have all of those you dont have to worry about the correct friend support you can just pick the correct CE.
That team is one of my most used farming setups.
19:23 Little fun fact, in theory you don't even need Koyanskaya. If you have append maxed you can do this:
Team: Cu, Koyan (from support), literally whoever you want lmao (let's say Shakespeare because it's funny), atlas mistyc code
turn 1: Cu first and third, Koyan first
turn 2: Shakespeare battery, atlas code, Cu third
turn 3: Cu first
It's crazy to think that even in JP there are only a handful of buster servants that can farm from 0% charge, and they basically need all the pieces of Exodia to do it. But then you have Cu Caster that can basically do it by himself.
had to spend a lot of sq chasing baobhan since I wanted at least one copy of her and morgan, I ended up with well over 20 copies of Caster Cu. Appends are all unlocked now and I still got over 900sq rated for the buster fox :)
Watching this for my boy Cu. But also it's funny whenever people mention only having him NP1 and I'm sitting on NP5 Cu just cause I always roll Chalde Boys
I really need that free SSR CE Black Grail. I have been playing the game since launch (took a 1 year break) and have spent a little over 2k on the game and still do not have a single BG, as well as only having 2 KScopes. My luck with CEs have been awful lmao. I have been able to MLB Imaginary Around nearly 3 times 😵💫

I plan to roll for Oberon first, and then Koyan... rolling anything else before that is simply suicidal given my resources. I barely have 1200SQs (my Summer funds), 100 Tickets (what I will use to bait Oberon), and whatever we get from the anniversary to try to get Koyan. orz
Oof I have around 700 sq for Oberon. I actually used a bit because I wanted to roll for Morgan. I had been saving for five months and have only used tickets for yolo rolls. Ended up getting Morgan with around 50 sq and a copy of caster cu. Really want more copies of him.
I have cu caster at np4 and have no idea where i got these copies. His buffs are crazy

Tbh, I would really enjoy a breakdown of caster cu’s neutral damage after grails (and maybe fous).
If we wanted a 3T 6 ce comp, would caster cu greatly benefit from lvl 90/100/120?
It is so sad that he does not get another rate up until the next Oberon banner. Would it kill lassengle to include him in all the LB6 adjacent banners so we can get him instead of the combustible general fp pool 3* fodder?
In my circle we consider 3 star rate ups a lie.
Since the 3 star pool is so vast, the rate up 5 stars seem to show up more often than the actually "should be easier to roll" 3 star.
I don't know the math on it, but the record is terrible.
He is goddamn mental does 250k damage per enemy as a 3 star and only needs one skill fully leveled..... Buster Meta is ridiculous.... He is borderline better than Morgan. It´s worth rolling just for him even if you don´t go for morgan.
Also there is a mich easier way to 3T with him :
T1: Activate skill 3 and give him 100% from 2 Koyanskayas
T2: either skill 1 on level 1 (20% battery) or a Mystic Code skill that gives 20%, There are some standard MC that can do that (the one with the card shuffle for example) + 80% from his guts. Reactivate the guts
T3: skill one or mystic code skill + 80% effect and you can loop without a plug and you do not need to waste rescources for skill 1 since you only need 20%
I actually have him on np3 thanks to me stupidly rolling on the caster class banner to get the flat chested grandma helena. Since he and the gong are the only decent casters i have, both are grailed to 90. Who knew that the stupid class roll was gonna be a good thing

Is this a first skill strengthening/upgrade that can be considered a downgrade in certain circumstances? I.e. if you wanted to use him for heals and buff cleanse, and not for buster farming, then this rank up would basically make his s3 unusable, right? Like, what is even the point of heal, if you die anyway? ;P
Yeah, this makes him unsuitable for CQ if you can't finish the fight early because he'll keep dying on his own
As stated at the start cu is great but is story locked and for me never on a banner im pulling on so for ever np1.
I rolled for Tamamo recently on her caster banner. I didn't get her, but hey I got Caster Cu NP5 so i'm pretty happy
Or you could pull him in Morgan banner at LB6 release campaign
Not to mention there's also Barghest and Baobhan sith on rate up beside Morgan & Cascu

Melusine comes later. After Morgan, we get Castoria and after her, we get Melusine.

@@jefffgo7154 No, Cu Caster will be just in the Morgan Banner. The next time, with a rate up for him will be the end of the next year, in the banner in which you can get Oberon. But at the same time will Muramasa and Melusine get a rate up too. (Its a Banner for all three of them)

@@flashmozzg Right they won‘t be in a single summon Banner, but will probably have her own banner at the same time. Theroefore you must still decide on which of the banner you want roll, if you want more than one of them and has only limited SQs.
