for the mei cinematic, seeing snowball wake up might make you think "oh, so he was safe regardless why did i bother worrying" but something i think people overlook is that snowball basically risked its life over a CHANCE mei could finish her research on time even potentially risking her being unable to wake him back up regardless. basically, risking its life for someone else. kinda strong.
and yes, the armor has been in eichenwalde since the beginning, we used to think it was just random armor on a throne, but to get context was HUGE when it was revealed.
also when rein says "i have been called, i must answer, always" is such a powerful line. basically using his mentors words as his motivation. choosing to side with overwatch regardless on the stigma simply because balderich considered it an honor to serve them.
I like how Honor and Glory shows us, that Reinhardt is better for shielding mates than going in alone and just getting recked. It happens so often, these people don't know how to play as a team.
but don't be a shield bot either, because that way you arn't contesting space and your shield wound just be obliterated and that will help no one
Especially now. Either you play chad Rein or you generally die.
@@bardedkgaming2529 yea but also OverWatch players dont understand cover at all. If people would use the shield to move from cover to cover while pushing instead of trying to over power the middle lane by standing in the open rein would be way stronger than he usually ends up being even in the hands of players with high mechanical skills.
Even more so now in Overwatch 2.
This was true at the start of OW1, but now please don't be a shield bot, overwatch is a way more aggresive game now.

Honor and glory man… After that cut back, him standing there old and full of scars. “I have been called, I must answer, always…” That line told us a thousand things. The regret, the guilt, the weight of this self imposed sense of duty, almost punishing, like he doesn’t have a choice. It sounds like a man always trying to make up for past actions but never forgiving himself, never allowing himself to have peace.
The way the commander died with glory that day by fighting with honor and rein finally learned his lesson and protected his team. How he he learned the ruthless lesson to except responsibilities given to him, but now feels obligated to take any responsibility even if it goes at the cost of himself.
As a German this kinda reminds me of my country actually. One of the reasons why i mained rein for the most part of my career between zarya and DF. It felt very good btw.

I literally watched it maybe 20 times over the years playing but i still manage too almost break into tears
At the beginning, Baldrich was honor and Reinhardt was glory. At the end, it was the opposite.
OK so seeing rise and shine again and hearing Winstons message that mei overhears Makes me miss the overwatch1 intro even more, hearing Winston’s speech would get me so hyped every time
12:52 fun fact: this robot is actually a Old Model For Orisa before she was redesigned by Efi and can be used in game as a Orisa Skin! (you should also watch the origin stories of all the heroes!)
actually, orisa was based off of OR15's, which was based off these models. one of her epic skins is a basic OR15 for refrence.
this is why her name is orisa. its actually OR15-A iirc. but efi gave her a more suiting name.

@@happystalker. yeah some other corporation remodeled the OR-14 we can see in honor and glory into the OR-15 then doom fist showed up and destroyed all the OR-15’s in a fight at the airport and then Efi got one of the destroyed OR-15’s and turned into what we now know as Orisa

Reinhart charging in recklessly have been the story of my games. Then they are all like "i need healing" from halfway across the map

dva's cinematic is more messed up when you realize she actually died. You can see in the scene when she's in the hospital that a blurry image of a doctor is using a defibrillator on her.
But the news anchor said that she survived without scratches.
Can't wait til you make it to the OW2 cinematics, how the universe progresses between cinematics is super exciting. Reinhardt's cinematic is still my favorite to this day.

@@sunlinerow3193 idk I enjoyed playing against old mei, to be fair I'm also a rein main, I often jumped on their heads and juked tf out of them
I like the OW2 Mei. No full freeze, but still a powerful hero. And she is fun to play.

The crusaders use their armor as their tomb.
So Honor and Glory actually explained a ton of lore for the players at the time because the map that corresponds to it came out BEFORE the cinematic. So when the map first came out, all we could tell was that a battle was fought here and there was this old suit of armor sitting on the throne at the end. When the cinematic finally came out, we saw that it was the battle that made Reinhardt into the man he would live the rest of his life as. A man who would live with honor, no matter the cost, because of his mentor's last wish and because Reinhardt could never forgive himself for causing his mentor's death.
I think most doesn't really know this, but that omnic that gave Reinhardt his scar was a version of Orisa built during the omnic crisis

Dragons gets all the attention, but honor and glory has to be my favorite cinematic.

Не знаю зачем посмотрел, но посмотрел все 3 части, возможно из за ностальгии по 1 ов. Стример конечно ужасный, все 3 записи жрет сидит скипая 50% контента, так держать, харя скоро в вебку не влезет. Чисто токсик в чате, не обращайте внимания
To actually enjoy the "reaction" it would be so much better without all the party line talking and lacking immersion for the mood the video is trying to impart. Is seemed more like a cold commentator's response.
