Waddy Wachtel - Champion & Legend
Waddy, write a book, voice the audiobook. Do not lose these great stories!
waddy was charged with child porn - gross - do a google search
Legendary. I've been listening to Waddy for over 40 years.
I could listen to Waddy for days
Always diggin Waddy’s guitar work and stories. Certainly one of best!
I lucked into a job at a label in 1988 that released Keith Richards first solo album, one of my great memories was hanging out backstage at the Hollywood Palladium with Keith and Waddy
that show was recorded and ultimately released as a live album
Too cool....I was at that show...Incredible
I’ve seen u so many times with so many different bands and u are by-far and mans and women’s guitarist! I was a session guitar player back in the seventies and early eighties...loved it...and the money wasn’t bad...
Genius behind many arrangements used by Linda Rondstat, Rolling Stones, Warren Zevon, Iggy Pop, and countless other acts. Waddy is perhaps the greatest session player ever...
Page would disagree.
Enormous respect for Waddy. What an amazing career. He has worked with so many great artists! He must have stories for days. He was close friends with the underrated and under appreciated Bill Cowsill and Waddy had interesting insights into the tragic mess the Cowsills suffered at the hands of their stupid father. Great interview Uncle Joe!
Waddy's been one of my biggest guitar heroes since I was in high school in the late 70's-early 80's !!!!! Great interview !!!! I only saw him once, playing with Stevie Nicks, w/ Joe Walsh opening, at Irvine Meadows Amphitheater when i was stationed at Camp Pendleton back around '84.
Waddy is a great guy! A good player with loads of cool stories.
The white (goldtop) Les Paul is my favorite sound-wise. I thought Waddy mentioned once that there’s an EMG (I’m assuming low impedance) pickup with a preamp in the bridge cavity. Love the story about how he ended up in the Whinos.
Waddy's work on Excitable Boy and Ferry's Bride Stripped Bare incredible...not to mention Expensive Winos...
Waddy! Love you man
Thanks
Dice is the Midnight Rambler guitar. It`s called Dice, cause of two little Dice stickers near the potis. It`s in standard tuning. Tumbling Dice is in open B.
"Like I said, I don't Jam,,,,,We work very hard to get it this loose."
Damn That was great
Am I the only person to find the bleeping more offensive than the censored language? Great interview; the legendary Mr Wachtel deserves to be a household name
Werewolfs of London is not an english but an american movie from Universal Studios 1935 starring Henry Hull
love warren zevon
Did Waddy ever work with Boz Scaggs in the '60s?
"I don't jam" WHAT? he jams. He jams long.
Waddy is groovy
I guess no one is going to address the elephant in the room with this guy???🤷
Waddy gave Leslie West lessons.
road warrior
Uncle Joe's cholesterol is 1,500. On a good day.
Waddy looks like Carole King’s corpse.
